What is fatherlessness and why is it one of the biggest factors that lead to increased crime rates, mental illness and even medical problems? In an individualistic culture, we are very good at prizing the rights of the individual. And yet we are very bad at understanding the importance of the family and the role of men. And yet the cliche that we are all used to is incompetent, absent or withdrawn men. What we forget is the fact that the results of this problem are not isolated to me, but leave their mark on every part of our lives.
