Everybody has an idea of what the expression, “I’ve arrived,” looks like. Maybe it’s graduation. Maybe the coveted job or promotion. Maybe the desired neighborhood. Maybe it’s paid off debt or retirement status. The truth is, we’ve never arrived at the good-life until we’ve arrived at God’s purpose for our lives. And when we get there, we know that it’s never over. Are you looking forward to the final landing or are you committed to never stopping for God’s glory. We’ve “arrived” to our permanent location but the work is not done. In faith, we’ll finish this phase strong and then be just as “vigorously” committed to whatever battle line the Lord draws next. Like Caleb, may we follow the Lord “wholeheartedly” today and tomorrow for all the days we have and for the generation that comes after.
