Empathy to Impact

On this episode, I meet a HS student from BCIS in Beijing named Anna who is an inspiring young changemaker. Anna is very passionate about gender equality and is doing some amazing work in the area of sexual education, consent and period poverty in both her home community of Beijing as well as in other parts of rural China. Here project is called Girl Up. Join me to learn how she became passionate about this issue that she cares about, how she became more deeply aware of this need in her local community and how she is using her skills and knowledge to take action and have an impact. Both the scope of her work as well as the different issues that she is able to address and connect are truly impressive. Also, please stay tuned for our next episode, Period Poverty Part 2 - Uganda, where I reconnect with Nantume about her work on this issue in her local community.
