This Mishna beautifully encapsulates the essence of wisdom. It tells us that wisdom isn't about how many books you've read or degrees you've obtained. It's about your openness to learn from everyone, irrespective of their social status or age. Wisdom is all around us, in every interaction, every conversation. From the janitor to the CEO, from the toddler to the elder, each person has a unique perspective, a distinctive life story, that can teach us something profound.
In our daily lives, it's so easy to dismiss others, to think we know better. But this Mishna prompts us to humble ourselves, to be curious, to ask questions, to listen. For in doing so, we become truly wise.
