The Grey Hole- a spiraling mass of bleak energy that drags everything in its path into terminal despondency- and created by planet Earth! 
 
With the crew of the Mae-Jay headed towards danger in their uncontrollable drone ship, Kal and the CC have to step in and help. But even Commander Derrn is losing patience with Earth's inability to cooperate, and there is uncertainty whether  Objective Grey Hole can continue on its current course of action.
