Emma Hennessy chats to Brian . She is from Carlow and had stoma surgery in February. She had an ileostomy which is where the end of your small bowel is brought through an opening made in your tummy. She could be a risk of a hernia. She has launched a campaign for stoma friendly toilet facilities for Carlow. There are none at present. She doesn’t want change to actual toilets. All she is calling for is for businesses to install a shelf, hook, mirror and sign on the door. Some businesses have them installed already. She had a hysterectomy 5 years ago and it dramatically changed her life
