किं न साध्यम् अभ्यासेन ?

मिथिलानगरे महाराजेन हरसिंहदेवेन आयोजिते वीरप्रदर्शनकार्यक्रमे कश्चन पालनामकः ब्राह्मणः तस्य चतसृभिः पुत्रीभिः सह आसीत् । किशोरचौधरीनामकस्य मल्लस्य वीरप्रदर्शनं दृष्ट्वा महाराजः तम् अभिनन्द्य, तस्मै उपायनानि च अयच्छत् । पालस्य कनिष्ठा पुत्री उत्थाय 'अनेन महत् कार्यं किं कृतम् ? अभ्यासेन मानवः किमपि साधयितुं शक्नोति' इति अवदत् । क्रुद्धः राजा सा राज्यात् निष्कासनीया इति अवद्त् । सा बालिका प्रतिज्ञां करोति यत् कदाचित् स्वकीयेन बलेन अस्मिन् एव क्षेत्रे बलप्रदर्शनं करोमि इति । गच्छता कालेन तथैव कृत्वा महाराजम् आश्चर्यान्वितम् अकरोत् ।

Witnessing the impressive display of strength by the wrestler Kishor Chaudhary, the king praised him and bestowed gifts upon him. Pala’s youngest daughter questioned his achievement, angering the king, who ordered her banishment. The young girl vowed that one day she would prove her own strength in the very same arena. Over time, she amazed the king with her own remarkable feat.
