We are back, and joined by Alonso, to round out June with Brokeback Mountain,
directed by Ang Lee, is an important film/empathy machine for most people to see. It offers a lens into the struggles of being gay and having to hide or bury your expressions of love and affection deep within, always being afraid or having some amount of fear about certain people (or anyone) finding out. It's powerful, and though not perfect, it helped in the increasingly more widespread acceptance of the those in the LGBTQ community. Happy Pride y'all!
