रामसेवाचूडामणिः हनूमान्

यदा श्रीरामः रावणं निहत्य प्रत्यागत्य सिंहासने अभिषिक्तः तदा सीतालक्ष्मणभरतशत्रुघ्नाः रामस्य समीपं गत्वा 'एतावत्पर्यन्तं हनूमान् एव सकलां सेवां करोति स्म । अतः अस्मभ्यं भवतः सेवाभाग्यं ददातु' इति अयाचन्त । रामः वदति 'भवन्तः कार्याणाम् आवलींं लिखन्तु । किमपि कार्यम् अवशिष्टं चेत् तत् हनूमान् करोति' इति । सीतादयः सुसूक्ष्मतया आवलीं सज्जीकृतवन्तः । हनूमान् यदा आवलीम् अपश्यत् तदा सर्वाणि कार्याणि तैः अपहृतानि आसन् । विषण्णः सन् किञ्चित् कालानन्तरम् आनन्देन नर्तनं कृतवान् । जृम्भणसमये दोषनिवारणाय मुखस्य पुरतः अङ्गुलेः स्फोटनकार्यम् अवशिष्टम् अस्ति इति यदा हनूमान् उक्तवान् तदा सीतादयः हनूमतः भक्तेः माहात्म्यं ज्ञात्वा लज्जाम् अनुभूतवन्तः ।

After Lord Rama defeated Ravana and was crowned king, Sita, Lakshmana, Bharata, and Shatrughna approached him. They requested the privilege of serving him, as Hanuman had been the sole devotee performing all services. Rama instructed them to list all tasks, stating that if anything remained, Hanuman would do it. Sita and others meticulously created the list. When Hanuman saw it, he realized that they had taken away all his duties, leaving him disheartened. However, after a moment, he joyfully danced, declaring that one task remained—snapping his fingers near his mouth to prevent drowsiness while yawning. Realizing Hanuman’s deep devotion, Sita and the others felt humbled.
