Commons Church in Marda Loop

As Commons prepares to launch its new Marda Loop parish, Bobbi wraps up our soft-launch series with a look at Matthew 4 and a theology of beauty. Exploring Jesus’ call along the Sea of Galilee, the power of art, and the transcendent nature of God, this message invites us beyond transactional faith into a captivating encounter with the Divine.

Discover how recovering a vision of Jesus as the Beautiful One can heal us, shape our longings, and inspire us to build a beautiful community together.

What is Commons Church in Marda Loop?

For more than a decade, Commons has gathered people around the life and teachings of Jesus in Calgary. Now we're taking the next step—becoming a church rooted not just in one place, but in neighbourhoods across our city.

Our Marda Loop parish shares the same approach to teaching, vision, and values as our Kensington community while becoming a local gathering shaped by the people, rhythms, and stories of this neighbourhood.

Whether you've been part of Commons for years, you're exploring faith for the first time, or you're simply looking for a community to belong to, we'd love to welcome you.
