Dr. Ashley Wellman has been a professor and scholar specializing in surviving trauma since 2008. Her research focuses on cold case homicide and sexual assault survivors. In 2018, her own life transformed after the traumatic, sudden loss of her husband. Informed by her professional research, she was determined to redefine her worth, value, and career to create a magical life for herself and her young daughter. Now, Ashley Wellman is pursuing life as a creative writer, with the upcoming release of her first children’s book “The Girl Who Dances with Skeletons: My Friend Fresno.” She believes to move forward, sometimes you have to rewrite the story.
