The worse advice anyone has ever received (thanks to Oprah) is to "follow your heart". Word to the wise--don't follow your heart, follow principles.
Following your heart is on the top ten for the worse advice anyone has ever given or received. How many people have been murdered, raped, bankrupted, divorced, abused, abandoned, or overdosed because they decided to follow the emotion of the moment rather than staying true to principles and wisdom.
Just as you can't adapt the laws of physic to suit your needs, you can't reject principles and justify the corruption of morality under the guise of "following your heart" and expect good long term results.
