Show Notes

Welcome to today's YouTube For Realtors WALK AND TALK #57 - I have so many things going through my head every day about YouTube for Realtors that I just want to get it all out! I get asked so many questions everyday and coach so many agents it's time to answer all of those in depth, on my walk to the gym!

In todays episode I do a deep dive into Real Estate Introduction Videos GONE WRONG! One of the top drivers of my channel right now is real estate introduction videos. So there's two ways I can go about this first is The intro to a video or A real estate intro video. And there are two major differences. One of them is how I like to open up videos, typically with a good hook or the intro, whereas I've done the hook and now we hit him with our little intro custom intro and then the second one is like a real estate introduction video. We're going to talk about those real estate introduction videos how important they are, what you need to say in them that you get more views subscribers, but ultimately more home sales.

The first one that I want to hammer on is the real estate introduction video meaning if you go to my channel the video that starts playing right there in the background is "Hi! my name is Jackson Wilkey. Welcome to my channel this channel's all about...". The principle behind it is that when people land on your YouTube channel. When you go into the customization customization tab. You have the ability to set the screen or the video on your home screen now the crazy part about YouTube is that it tracks who is a subscriber or who's been on your channel before. You need to set 2 videos, the video you set for people's first time and people who have not subscribed should be that real estate introduction video. It's pretty easy if you go to your customization tab and go to your layout button. Lets you layout all your playlists and that's where you set these two different videos. The one on top that is for people who have not subscribed, so this is where you could have that real estate introduction video. And it's where I had mine. Do you want to miss more? Come on!! You will get it free from here.

The Channel Junkies Podcast is for real estate agents who are already on YouTube and want the channel to finally behave like a business, not a second job. Each week, we show you how to turn your “Living In [City]” channel into a predictable relocation lead machine that feeds your pipeline whether you’re filming or not.

Hosted by Jackson Wilkey and Jesse Dau, founders of Channel Junkies, you’ll get tactical breakdowns on video hooks and titles, first‑30‑seconds retention, thumbnails, upload cadence, and analytics that actually matter. We go deep on the back end too: speed‑to‑lead, follow‑up SOPs, show‑rate fixes, and simple systems so you stop dropping YouTube leads on the floor and start closing more buyers and sellers.

No fluff, no generic “social media tips.” Just real case studies, hot‑seat audits, and step‑by‑step playbooks from agents doing 6–7 figures in GCI from their channels. New episodes weekly.
