Kasra Dash: So, if you are a landscaping company and you want to generate a consistent flow of inquiries for your business, this video is for you. I'm joined with James Dooley and we're going to be going over all of the different strategies that you can use to start scaling and growing a consistent flow of inquiries in 2025. James, take it away. James Dooley: So, step number one, what I'd be looking to do to grow is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, I'd be making certain that I reach out to all my existing clients to try to get as many five star reviews as possible. It's a great way for a Google Business Profile to generate more leads. There's obviously citations, Google Business Profile posts and uploading photos. That's definitely step one for generating more local leads. Kasra Dash: Step number two builds onto your Google Business Profile. I would be creating dedicated service pages for each of your individual services as SEO optimised pages on your website. When you start doing that, first of all, your SEO page can rank, but there's also a stronger chance of your Google Business Profile showing up for those keywords as well. So you’re indirectly going to get more phone calls. James Dooley: If you are looking for more local leads, another option is PPC lead generation. That's pay per click within Google or Bing where you're targeting bottom of the funnel keywords to generate more inquiries. The difficult part is making certain you team up with a good pay per click agency because there is click fraud and you also need to build a negative keyword list so you're not getting job applications or irrelevant traffic. PPC can work well, but in the wrong hands you can waste a lot of money. However it is another solid way to generate local leads. Kasra Dash: After that, you've also got meta ads such as Facebook and Instagram. The next time someone goes onto Facebook, they might be scrolling and see your ad. There are a few ways to run these campaigns. Option A is lead forms, which are easy because users never leave Facebook, but the quality might not be great unless you add questions to filter better. You can also run conversion ads where the user goes to your website and fills out the form there. So you've got a couple different options. James Dooley: Another way to grow local leads is organic social media. Posting regularly on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. There are lots of platforms you can use. Reddit is quite big now and Quora is also big if people have questions that you can answer. Organic social media is another great way to generate local leads. Kasra Dash: With organic social media, it's a volume game. You want to make certain you're constantly uploading. For example, a daily or weekly schedule. You might say you want to upload five videos a week and stick to that, especially with platforms like YouTube and Twitter. James Dooley: What’s your thoughts on using any sort of AI agents to help automate and schedule posts on social media? Using systems like N8N to automate content is all the rage for generating more leads. Would you team up with an AI consultant to set that up? Kasra Dash: Yes, you can definitely go down that route and set up AI agents to crop videos and auto publish to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and more. But another thing I would also focus on is AI search. A lot of people have started to move away from Google. Not everyone, because billions still use it daily, but more people are searching directly in engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok. If your brand isn't showing up in those, you'll have issues generating leads as well. So that's another thing I would focus on. James Dooley: Also, if you're looking for more business leads in the local area, I would definitely look at tradespeople websites. You've got Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader, Rated People. All these platforms can generate local leads. What I would say is track your KPIs to understand your return on investment. Track cost per lead, cost per acquisition and what ROI you’re getting. These platforms can work very well. And check the links in the description because we have videos comparing Checkatrade with FatRank, Bark with FatRank, Rated People with FatRank, Builder Builder with FatRank. Kasra Dash: So James, what’s your thoughts on lead generation companies as opposed to tradespeople platforms? James Dooley: With lead generation companies, you want to do your due diligence. Make certain that if you are in a specific niche, that lead generation company has generated leads in that industry before. I would also have a strategy call with them to go over budget, lead volume and expectations. You should ask whether the leads are exclusive or shared. Shared leads, which is what Bark or Checkatrade do, create a race to the bottom on price. So those are questions you must ask before partnering. Kasra Dash: If anyone is interested in generating more local leads, I strongly recommend heading over to FatRank.com where we have a commission based lead generation service. You only pay a finders fee on converted jobs. Nothing to pay per lead. Nothing to pay until you get paid. Once you complete the job and get paid, that’s when you pay FatRank. So go to FatRank.com to see whether you qualify. James Dooley: I want to expand further. What’s your thoughts on inbound lead generation versus outbound? Kasra Dash: I always prefer inbound. The conversion rate from lead to paying customer is far higher. The last statistic I saw was around 16.1% conversion into paying customers compared to 1.4% for outbound leads. James Dooley: That's a huge difference. Ten to twelve times more conversion. With outbound, you need much more volume whether it's cold calling, cold email or LinkedIn Sales Navigator. And you often need more staff. People think they're generating free leads but overlook the cost of email sending or the sales team converting them. Inbound is much better. Kasra Dash: Some people also ask whether real time leads are important. And the answer is yes. Internally, the data we saw showed real time leads convert around 63% higher, especially when businesses reply in under a minute. James Dooley: Not every company needs to reply in under a minute, but when we partner with companies at FatRank, a common issue is they go on holiday for five days and no one picks up the leads. These nuances matter. The best advice for scaling your business with consistent high quality leads is to fill out the form at FatRank. The team will tell you whether you’re the right fit and give feedback if you're not. Kasra Dash: We hope you liked the strategies for growing your landscaping company. The amount of searches for landscapers near me in the UK is huge. Head over to FatRank.com, fill in the form. We work with a lot of hard and soft landscaping companies and hopefully we can work with you.
