Mind Your Money with MissBeHelpful

Season 4: E6

This week's episode is INCREDIBLE!!! Briana, aka Bri, is the co-founder of a nonprofit called The Prosp(a)rity Project (TPP). Just a few months into the pandemic, Bri hatched the idea for TPP and hired a team to launch this supportive community that helps college-educated Black women pay down student loan debt by granting them up to $40,000 in aid and offering them career coaching, financial literacy education and more! I'm pumped for you the hear this one!!

TPP was created as a result of Bri herself, graduating college with over $116,000 in student loan debt and subsequently being subject to the pitfalls of this burden. Post-graduation, she experienced adversity at every turn, including inability to establish financial security/ independence, difficulty securing well-paying, long-term career opportunities and having to abandon prior entrepreneurial ventures to take on part-time jobs as a means of stay current on her monthly student loan payments.
