My So-Called Fabulous

In 2010, today’s guest was told he had 6 months to live. Marc Semmelmann was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. His doctor shared, if the cancer didn’t kill him, the treatment likely would. After an intense conversation with God, a sense of peace fell over Marc, who stopped worrying about dying and began focusing on surviving. Ten years after his diagnosis, he is the only known survivor of de-differentiated chondrosarcoma. Now a volunteer private pilot Marc has dedicated his time and life to Raquel’s Wings, the non-profit that helped save Marc. He now flies cancer patients to and from M.D. Anderson free of cost. Marc’s story is one of hope, resilience, and positivity. This inspiring episode is a true must-listen.
