17-målspodden

In this episode we discuss how to use Micro Finance to fight poverty in Burundi, one of the World’s poorest countries. Our guests are Silje Nordal Sylta and Arne Sylta from Hauge Micro Finance and our colleague Associate Professor Sarah Khasalamwa-Mwandha from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

During the conversation we talk about microfinance as a means to fight poverty. We also address different aspects about running the organization Hauge Micro Finance in Burundi and we talk about the important heritage after Hans Nielsen Hauge (1771-1824), who fought poverty through entrepreneurship and transformed Norway to be a modern nation. We also talk about what it takes in general to make microfinance succeed. Silje and Arne also describe how their Christian values have an impact on their work.

What is 17-målspodden?
