Things take a dark turn when Renata's assistant Morgan turns up dead, staged to look like a suicide but revealed as a shibari-related death, dragging Colin and Renata into a murder investigation with Diane stepping in to represent Renata. Meanwhile, Eli is spinning out over a political leak, Peter and Alicia's marital tension bleeds into the kids' storylines with an intervention on Zach that goes sideways, and Owen gets pulled into some unexpectedly weird family business. It all wraps with a courtroom win, a wedding invitation nobody saw coming, and a heartfelt thank-you that catches Alicia off guard.
