लोकज्ञानमेव वरम्

रामस्य एकः विशेषगुणः आसीत् यत् श्रुतां लोकोक्तिं सूक्तिं वा सर्वदा स्मरति स्म । सन्दर्भानुसारं सः स्वानुभावेन पुरजनेभ्यः मार्गदर्शनं करोति स्म । ग्रामजनाः तस्य समीपं मार्गदर्शनार्थं गच्छन्ति स्म । एकदा तस्य देशस्य राजा अल्पसैन्येन सामन्तान् विरुद्ध्य युद्धार्थं प्रस्थितः । मार्गमध्ये ज्ञातवान् यत् एषः रामः वयसा कनिष्ठः चेदपि अस्य महान् अनुभवः अस्तीति । राजा युद्धस्य विषये यदा अभिप्रायम् अपृच्छत् तदा रामः अवदत् 'लघुः अपि सर्पः बृहता दण्डेन प्रहर्तव्यः । अतः इतोऽपि अधिकं सैन्यं नियोज्यताम्' इति अवदत् । अधिकेन सैन्येन सह राजा सामन्तम् अजयत् । रामं मन्त्रिमण्डले नियोजितवान् च ।

Rama had a remarkable ability to recall proverbs and wise sayings, using them to guide people according to the situation. Villagers often sought his advice. One day, the king of his land set out to battle the feudal lords with a small army. On the way, he realized that although Rama was young, he possessed great wisdom. When asked for his opinion, Rama advised, “Even a small snake must be struck with a large stick. Deploy more troops”. Following his advice, the king expanded his army and won the battle. Impressed, he appointed Rama to his council of ministers.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
