Ascend Men

As we’ve already seen, the Holy Spirit is particularly prominent in Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth. Now we see Him at work in Simeon, a righteous and devout man in Jerusalem. Simeon doesn’t often get a lot of attention, but there are several things we can learn from his short cameo.

Show Notes

Today's Scripture
"Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Messiah. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for Him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took Him in his arms and praised God". Luke 2:25-27

Key takeaway for the day:
Persevere in your faith. Commit to the long-haul with God, and you won’t be disappointed.

What is Ascend Men?

It's a bunch of men who want to do life together and in doing so, get closer to God, to each other and to those around us. This podcast supports that mission, by inspiring and equipping men to be who God intended them to be.
