Carrie (1976)

The Final Ghouls are back and going back to the prom as we tackle the 1972 classic Carrie ahead of its 50th anniversary -- and just as the new Mike Flanagan series arrives! Holly, Jeremy and L discuss Brian DePalma's adaptation of the Stephen King novel starring Sissy Spacek as the titular character and a terrifying Piper Laurie as her mother.

Get Ready For: Our experience levels with Stephen King's work, Jeremy and L's love of Locke & Key (mostly the comic), the one-two punch of bullying and religious extremism, Holly's memories of high school girls being the worst, Miss Collins' penchant for slapping teenagers, Sissy Spacek's titular performance, Brian DePalma's directorial flourishes, that iconic prom scene, and the final jump scare.
