In this fifth reflection on the Seven Last Words of Christ, we hear Jesus say: "I thirst." Jesus does not hide from His pain, but enters it completely, showing the full reality of His humanity. This thirst speaks of more than physical need. It points to a deeper longing: a thirst for God, for truth, and for salvation. This Lent, we are invited to reflect on our own longing for God, and how we respond to it through prayer, adoration, and acts of charity.
