July 22, 2020

Gingerbread

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup oil

1 cup molasses

1 ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

1 ¼ teaspoon ginger

1 teaspoon cloves

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1/3 cup hot water

2 teaspoons baking soda

2 cups flour

1 cup boiling water

Grease bottom of 9 by 13-inch pan.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Dissolve soda in 1/3 cup hot water.  Mix other ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
