I need you to hear this Targeting a woman because she has made a way for herself and lives well, shouldn't be an open invitation for you to sliver in and take advantage, you know. Just like we told the men on last week, women be aware, be aware of men like that, be aware, you know, because they are out there and you should do the same as the women. Men you should be aware and women you should be aware, but we got the women last week so here we go. Shannon: Yes. Shun: Yeah, and it also applies the same advice as we gave last week, Shannon. If you're going to say, well, I'm grown, I can, I can spoil my man. I don't mind spending that's cool too. And we're Shannon: Mm-hmm. Shun: all grown. But if you have children, be careful to keep that away from your kids. You know, we, we can't be, we can't emphasize that enough. Keep that away from home. Shannon: Mm-hmm. Shun: Now, most men won't come out and say, I'm looking for a woman to take care of me. You know, that's downright a turn off for a real woman, right? Shannon: Right, Shun: But Shannon: right, right. Shun: they'll play the role. Wining and dining, you know taking the kids Shannon: Uh Shun: to the Shannon: huh. Shun: amusement park out for ice cream You know all of that and then once he's taken her for all he can then boom he's ghost These Shannon: Yeah. Shun: these kind of men, you know, they have no sympathy for you or your children or your well-being. So ladies be mindful Uh, you sugar mama hunters they out there. Shun: but under false pretenses is just so wrong and then they fall in love thinking like this is my soulmate You know Shannon: Yeah. Shun: a few of them even go all the way through marriages, right? Shannon: and even like I mentioned last week, even if he's not there where you are, that'll mean, you know, write them off, but make sure if he's with you, he's with you for the right reasons and his conversation and his actions, a combination, not just the flowery words and, oh, he just says the right stuff. Shun: to add to that Shannon that to for women with the potential. Oh, he got potential Well, he does but potential is like faith and if you're not doing anything with it, then what good is it? But I knew from his words, now his actions, I'm telling you, they say watch actions and you should. I kept saying, I'm about to leave this Negro. So even though he didn't have a lot of good qualities like I've discussed in my book, I discussed on here, I saw it. I knew the man that I'm married to today was inside of him. And Shannon: Yeah. Shun: I saw it, he displayed it. Now his actions was crazy sometimes that he was doing the most, but he was worth it. And I knew that from who I am. You understand Shannon: Mm-hmm, Shun: what I'm saying? And when he wasn't Shannon: right. Shun: displaying what I needed, I knew when to walk away. And sometimes it takes that to make them realize. I think Shannon, you're a reference to the fictional family with Martin and Gina was, she knew Shannon: Mm-hmm. Shun: he loved her and she definitely loved him. She needed to see it. So Shannon: Yes. Shun: we may not have a finances of connections but as a mom you do have that relationship with your children you do have your status as a mother you know and what we do what we work hard and sacrifice for messing around with the wrong man you can lose it your life savings you can lose their college funds your house all of that so it's imperative to do your homework ladies men can pretend just like women Shannon: Yeah. Shun: I mean I can fake a meal a few times right I could buy something and put in a pan like I cooked it one or Two times before they figure out this girl can't cook right, but a dude will love on you bring flowers Rub your feet Shannon: Yeah. And because we're talking about male gold diggers and like we said last week, men stop looking for the eye candy just to have Shun: Absolutely. Shannon: on your arm. Same goes to women. Stop Shun: Yes. Shannon: looking for the eye candy. You wanna dress up a bum? It's like, come on, look for more substance. Look for. Shun: Alright. Shannon: someone that you're growing with. Shun: Do you remember how she met Bobby Brown and he was a character, he was like this broke mechanic with this gap and this Shannon: Mm-hmm. Shun: Jared girl. And remember she cleaned him up and he started feeling himself. Shannon: Oh, that's true. Shun: And that's Shannon: Yep. Shun: what happens. Something to nothing, right? She turned him into something. And because he wasn't into her, he was more into what she could do for him. See what I'm saying? She Shannon: Yeah. Shun: put him on ice. She ended up getting the ring, you know, and getting it all together. But if we care for the first time, and I can speak for this, I'm talking to Sean, if you care for the first time, you don't have to go through so much. So that's what we're here to do. You know, we're Shannon: Yeah. Shun: trying to cut out these first times. We're trying to cut out this four, five, Shannon: Right. Shun: six, repeating the same mistakes. So we give Shannon: Yeah. Shun: you hints, we give you clues, not from our mind, not from a book we read, from a life experience, right? Shannon: Yeah, and Shun: And that's what Shannon: yeah, Shun: makes a Shannon: and Shun: difference. Shannon: a lot, right. And a lot of what we say, you know, people are probably saying, oh, we know this stuff, it's common sense. Yeah, that might be the case to some. But for a lot of us, me and Sean included, there were things that weren't said to us as frank, you know, Shun: That's Shannon: we may Shun: right. Shannon: have heard something in passing or, you know, tiptoeing around stuff, but this is just like, hey, in your face type stuff. for, you know, we're not gonna sugarcoat it. We just want you to take it if you want, if not, oh well, but at least it's out there because we didn't have this. Shun: Absolutely Shannon: We didn't have Shun: not. Shannon: this type of form. Shun: We didn't have it. And like you said, Shannon, some of them say, well, I know that like that's common sense. But again, that part about the manipulation, some of us don't know that. These men are good at that. So to be careful to be a watchful eye that the actions are matching the words, you know, Shannon: Right. Yeah. Shun: don't tell me you love me and I can't answer your phone, but at certain hours, those are the things we need to look out for because forget what your mouth said, I'm gonna need you to answer the phone when I call. And if not every time, it don't need to be the same times that you can't answer it. That's a pattern. You know what I'm saying? Shannon: Yeah. Shun: So like Shannon said, we didn't have people to give us those clues, to give us those hints. So this show is for all of us, for the whole world. Love you all. But we especially trying to stop those young people who didn't have what Shannon and I had, an open forum, parents that were putting it out there, friends and family that were putting it out there. And again, we've lived life to see it for ourselves. So now we're going Shannon: Yes. Shun: to help somebody else, you know? Although we had a lot of fun with it, you know men You need to search your hearts and think about the fact that you have daughters Or maybe you don't one day you may have You have sisters and if you don't have sisters or daughters, guess what? Okay, so the fictional family I'm feeling tonight is the Allen family. Andre Allen, to be specific, from the movie Top Five starring Chris Rock and Gabrielle Union. So how set up the scene. So Chris Rock is a, or Andre Allen, is a well-known comedian, or he was a comedian turned actor, and then fell off because he had an alcohol problem. So he was an alcoholic, kind of fell off, but then has started to come back and climbing the ladder again. And he's engaged to this beautiful Eric Along, played by Gabrielle Union. And Erica is a reality TV star. So everything's about what's been seen on camera. So she's beautiful. Everything's for show. For example, Andre bought her beautiful, beautiful engagement ring. She felt it was too small for the show. So she went out and bought her own, something a little bit bigger. But hey, that's who she was. The scene, Andre has fallen off the wagon, had a bad day, got drunk, fell off the wagon, goes to a grocery store, tears up the grocery store in a fit of rage, gets arrested, he's in jail. He calls Erica, she's going off. You're on CNN, you're on this outlet, you're making a spectacle of our lives, of our love. everything's about what the world could see to her and he's saying from jail i'm sorry i'm sorry and she says you can fix this and he's i don't know how i can fix this she says you're supposed to be at your bachelor um your bachelor party you go to your bachelor party right now because it will be filmed so that everyone can see that our love is strong and we're gonna get married and we're still gonna do this and he says to her I'm an alcoholic. I don't need a party. I'm an alcoholic. And she's like, you're going to that party. You are going to that party because what mattered to her was what the world perceived of her. Shun: image. Shannon: He didn't matter to her, right? Her image. He didn't matter to her at all. Only what he represented. And only if what he represented fit the image that she wanted to portray. So guys, if you're going for that woman because she has money, status, celebrity, or whatever it is, you really want that versus someone that cares for you, that cares that you fell off the wagon. She did not care, Shun: Right, Shannon: you know, Shun: I was thinking Shannon: so. Shun: when you were saying that, you're going to this bachelor, who bailed him out? Can I get out of jail first? Like, wow. Ha ha. Shannon: Yeah, yeah. Right, he got out of jail, yeah, Shun: But so Shannon: and Shun: she's Shannon: went Shun: saying Shannon: to the... Yeah, Shun: that Shannon: mm-hmm. Shun: to him. I'm just trying okay, so I'm gonna give Shannon a chance to like negotiate her black card I've never saw this movie. So we can Shannon: Right Shun: you got me you got me Shannon. You finally got Shannon: up. Shun: me So what you can do is just watch one of the Mary J's. No, I'm just kidding. But seriously, I never saw this movie So she was telling him you're gonna go to the bachelor party why he's calling him from jail. He wasn't even out yet. Shannon: Yes, Shun: Wow Shannon: he wasn't out yet, but he had to go to that bachelor party. And so of course he did. And of course when he got out, but so my thing is guys really, um, that tells me too, that she could leave him at any second. So you guys who are going for these women for their money or whatever, you're probably saying in your mind, well, if she leaves me, I'll take half. Shun: Yeah. Shannon: But what kind of life are you living? Not only Shun: That's Shannon: for you, Shun: a fact. Shannon: but for your children, if there are children involved.
