Black in the Garden

On episode 5, Season 2 of Black in the Garden, Colah finally reveals our tribe name: SoilCousins!
We joined The Plant Kween, Christopher Griffin, for a candid and in depth conversation while she watered her Green Gurls in her new apartment in NYC. She dropped a few bars about West Philly where she's born and raised. We learned about the positive parental support that makes up the foundation of the Kween. The tea was truly wisdom as so many gems were dropped about themes including: femmephobia, gender identity and the challenges of finding oneself + community as a black queer femme navigating different spaces. Christopher shares a few tips on surviving a plant move in Brooklyn and we learn how a trip abroad gave them a new STRUT.
