ON THE SCENE

In this week's episode of On The Scene, hosts Allison Dyjach, Darek Reidel, and Shelby Bolitsky head to Adventurer's Guild Cafe and Board Game lounge in Downtown Kitchener to chat with Jaydon and Vedant from The 74 Experience, and the members of local indie band HouseCat.

Guests:

The 74 Experience is a new events group putting together local concerts with diverse bills all around Waterloo. Their vision is to create an amazing space where new and local artists can shine, believing in the power of music to connect people and inspire creativity. By giving fresh talent a platform, the 74 Experience aims to build a vibrant community where every beat and note tells a unique story. Putting their first show together just a few months ago in March of this year, the group is now hosting regular shows at established venues including Midnight Run, Revive, and Room 47, and some unique outdoor spaces.

HouseCat is an indie-pop trio from Kitchener-Waterloo. Composed of Caleb Huizenga, Emily Gilbart, and Shannon Lee, their debut EP, The Porch Orange was just released in July. Their music can be described as catchy, devastatingly sad, and a little morbid.

Music: Gonna Be Something by Act of Nature, Without You by Joshua Pascua, Falling by HouseCat
