Pivot! A Vegan Business Interview Series

Anthony Cotter and his older brother were raised by a health-conscious mother and party-friendly father in Queens, New York. Anthony's mother taught her boys yoga, and meditation and raised Anthony vegetarian from birth. Anthony experienced a difficult childhood that included his parents’ divorce, an abusive stepfather, his mother’s passing, and his father’s drug addiction. His brother wound up on Riker’s Island and was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Anthony himself lived on the streets for years. Alone in the world, battling addictions and poverty, Anthony received a book called, “A Diet for A New America,” by John Robins that shifted his life trajectory, reconnecting him with his mother’s early teachings.

He removed all animal products from his life, and became mindful of what he consumed. He pursued an education in nutrition at Brooklyn College and raw food techniques and vegan cooking at the Culinary Arts Institute. He founded InBloom Foods, a raw food catering company and taught meditation and yoga throughout the juvenile hall systems with the nonprofit group, Mind Body Awareness Project. Today, Anthony lives in the Green Mountains of Vermont with his two children. He is most fulfilled when speaking about health and wellness, sharing stories, products, books, music, and documentaries, and connecting great people together.

Throughout his life, Anthony always sought guidance from elders, gurus, and mentors. Anthony’s health and wellness success comes from focusing on his Movement, Meals, Mind & Money philosophy. Out of this philosophy, Whole Life Goals was created.
