Developer Tech Talk

Peder Linder has 25 years of experience building software systems, such as a new file system at Microsoft, a satellite communications system at Stanford, a search engine and a fintech system. In this episode, we will discuss Peder's journey joining Microsoft, founding Advisa and co-founding Baaboom with Per Lange. Peder will also talk about how it feels to transition from a tech giant like Microsoft to a startup. We will also delve into his discovery of Couchbase and why he believes it is a game-changer for developers.

While studying at Stanford, he gained interest in how the brain works. He came in contact with the professor who discovered Growth Mindset and brought it back to Sweden in 2008, and coached leaders at companies like Klarna, SEB, Ericsson, Google and Apple. He was inspired by other software engineers in Silicon Valley that turned their attention to figuring out how the brain works and came up with a new model to predict human behavior. During the past 5 years, Peder has worked on designing a methodology with simple steps that founders can follow to get on track to become a unicorn, including both how to secure product-market fit and quickly building a system that scales reliably to millions of users, cost-effectively.
