Action plans from our friends at A More Perfect Union -
First, you can encourage Jewish institutions with which you’re affiliated – synagogues, camps, day schools, etc. – to join A More Perfect Union by making a concrete commitment to engage in pro-democracy work. The work to protect and strengthen democracy relies on all of us, and our community – and our country – will be stronger with a larger and more diverse network of civil society organizations working across differences in pursuit of this shared commitment. Second, you can take action now as an individual. A More Perfect Union has compiled a list of resources and recommendations for individuals looking to take action to protect and strengthen democracy.
Third, you can build your own capacity to communicate to prevent violence. This linked resource, prepared by OverZero in partnership with A More Perfect Union, helps readers understand the narratives often used to justify violence, what happens in our brains when we hear these narratives, and how to reframe toward peaceful action.
Fourth, you can join RumorGuard to help combat mis-, dis-, and misinformation (MDM). RumorGuard was developed by our partners at the News Literacy Project (NLP), a nonpartisan education nonprofit. Sign up to help educate yourself and your community about MDM.
