Today on the show: Former Eldorado Hotshots Superintendent Aaron Humphrey stops by with his wife to talk about his experience over his fire career, and why he moved on...

Show Notes

Aaron Humphrey is not only a generational wildland firefighter, but also a wildland firefighter (forestry technician) with 25 years of experience in the game. He also served as the Hotshot Committee chairman during his time with Eldorado IHC...

Today on the show, we talk about how his parents worked for the USFS, how he got started in fire, the changes that he saw (and experienced) over the years, and the reasons why he eventually moved on to a different agency after 25 years...

His wife, Rachael, joins us on the show today to also talk about her side of the story and the struggles involved with being a Hotshot wife...

"Hump" is one hell of a mentor, an excellent leader, and continues to lead with his involvement with the Grassroots Wildland Firefighters organization...
