Hey Hey!

I’m super excited to be interviewing a VERY special guest in this episode…drum roll, please…It’s none other than the woman I’m super privileged to do life with, my amazing wife, Kim Hope!

After 15 years of a successful career as a massage professional and nationally-traveling massage instructor, Kim left it all behind to start over and train in something she always wanted to do - residential redesigns...remodeling homes and outdoor living spaces. As you can imagine, her days look drastically different now from what they did in those 15 years. That lady’s got one hell of a story to tell!

That’s not what we’re talking about today, though. In this episode, you will get to find out more about Kim, us as a couple, our differences and what we do to get on the same page so we can keep on creating a life we love.

Believe it or not, Kim and I have our differences, like any other couple. We were in our late thirties and early forties by the time we started our life together, we each had our own established lives and ways of doing things, with our own internal and external shifts. I’d just gone through a divorce and Kim was going through a major career shift. So naturally, we came at things from totally different perspectives.

Despite all this, we always considered ourselves great communicators and were pretty much on the same page in every area of our lives…or so we thought!

Then we met Doug Petersen, my guest from episode 21, and quickly realized that we actually DID need to be very intentional in making sure we were on the same page, and not just with our finances. That’s a whole other story. If you missed it, go on and listen to EP 21 to find out the details. Anyway, Doug introduced the idea of us having a weekly family meeting, and we have never looked back since.

OK, to be honest; it took a while to gain momentum, and we’re still learning lots and tweaking our process, but we’ve already seen such great results that we’re both fully committed and extremely grateful to have it in place.

Tune in to find out more about our weekly family meeting. I’m sure you’re curious to know,

  • What is it
  • How we do it.
  • And also some of the lessons we’ve learned along the way

Kim also came up with this whopper of a Question of the Week….Would it be more painful to grow or to just stay the same?

What is The Productivity Shift?

Have you ever noticed how most productivity advice doesn’t work for women?

That’s because you’re not a man who has a spouse at home who takes care of all the things. You’re juggling your business, your career, and your family. It’s a lot, and no wonder why things slip through the cracks despite your best intentions to get it all done.

When you treat everything as an urgent priority, you lose all sense of what truly matters. This podcast is here to help you change all of that. One week at a time.

Unlike other shows about productivity, only The Productivity Shift helps women in charge (in their biz, at work, at home, etc) take back their time and use it to make progress on what matters most to them.

Each week, Elise Enriquez, a productivity dork and certified life coach, guides you to redefine what productivity is to you. You’ll get strategies and insights you can implement right away. Lighten your load and focus on what’s most important so you can create a life and business that is meaningful to you.
