What a week of volleyball and we’re not even sure where to start.
Texas A&M swept Kentucky, Tennessee stayed hot, Kansas swept TCU and reverse-swept Baylor, Washington won at Wisconsin before getting swept by Minnesota, and Iowa added another twist by taking down UCLA. Hosts Amie Just and Erin Sorensen break down what all of those results actually tell us and more.
We also respond to some of your questions and comments: Are we underrating Oregon? Was UCLA really a Top 16 team when it played Nebraska? Who did Purdue anger to get that schedule? And what are the best ways to keep up with scores, schedules and stats across college volleyball?
Then, USA Volleyball President and CEO John Speraw joins us for a wide-ranging conversation about the future of volleyball in the United States, the road to LA28, expanding access to the sport, the national-team pipeline and what this moment of unprecedented growth could become.
And the timing couldn’t be better: the pools for the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup were announced the day we recorded, setting up a major international event in the U.S. and Canada (and another important step on the road to the Los Angeles Olympics).
