WEBVTT

00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:22.260
 Hi, and welcome to the Willow Ridge Church weekly podcast.

00:00:22.780 --> 00:00:25.880
 This is where you can find audio for our current and past sermons.

00:00:26.100 --> 00:00:30.420
 We hope that you enjoy this week's installment, and be sure to check back next week to hear

00:00:30.420 --> 00:00:31.260
 the latest message.

00:00:31.680 --> 00:00:32.460
 Thanks for listening.

00:00:45.580 --> 00:00:46.600
 Hey, good morning.

00:00:47.500 --> 00:00:51.260
 Glad that you guys are here with us, whether you're joining us online or whether you're

00:00:51.260 --> 00:00:53.360
 here on campus with us.

00:00:53.360 --> 00:00:57.520
 I'll ask you if you've got your Bibles, go ahead and open them to Judges chapter 13.

00:00:58.340 --> 00:01:02.280
 As you turn there, a couple of things I want to go over before we dive into our scripture

00:01:02.280 --> 00:01:02.820
 this morning.

00:01:03.200 --> 00:01:06.060
 First, I just want to say it is good to be back.

00:01:06.440 --> 00:01:11.800
 Only missed a Sunday, but it feels like an eternity, and so it is good to be here with

00:01:11.800 --> 00:01:12.680
 you guys this morning.

00:01:12.780 --> 00:01:18.480
 I want to thank all of the staff, Dave, Joel, Berger, Dawn, everybody else that kind of rallied

00:01:18.480 --> 00:01:21.580
 last week to continue on and everything that was going.

00:01:21.880 --> 00:01:25.880
 You know, as we got ready to roll back kids' ministry and make some changes around the

00:01:25.880 --> 00:01:31.080
 building, it was probably the worst Sunday, at least for me, to wrestle with being gone,

00:01:31.160 --> 00:01:33.060
 but God had great plans.

00:01:33.300 --> 00:01:35.880
 And Dave, man, thank you for stepping in and speaking last week.

00:01:36.180 --> 00:01:39.560
 You did an absolutely wonderful job, faithful to the scripture.

00:01:39.820 --> 00:01:45.800
 That was, in all honesty, the most complicated passage to go through in Judges, but man, you

00:01:45.800 --> 00:01:47.500
 crushed it, and so thank you so much.

00:01:48.140 --> 00:01:49.280
 So I had a lot of people ask.

00:01:49.820 --> 00:01:51.220
 Bradberries are doing good.

00:01:51.640 --> 00:01:57.140
 God is gracious to us through our little COVID situation that we had in our house.

00:01:57.940 --> 00:02:01.140
 Relatively speaking, our symptoms were mild.

00:02:01.300 --> 00:02:03.500
 I had the mildest out of all of us.

00:02:04.040 --> 00:02:07.840
 So God knew that my wife, son, and daughter are tougher than I am.

00:02:07.840 --> 00:02:13.540
 So he gave me the least amount, but we're still lacking a little energy with us, but we are

00:02:13.540 --> 00:02:15.340
 back and going, and so it feels good.

00:02:16.000 --> 00:02:19.620
 This week, we are getting ready to head down the stretch of Judges.

00:02:19.880 --> 00:02:22.580
 Beginning today, we've got this week and then three other weeks.

00:02:23.040 --> 00:02:26.600
 And so today's message is going to kind of do two things.

00:02:26.660 --> 00:02:31.540
 It's going to recap a little bit thematically of what we've been talking about, but also be

00:02:31.540 --> 00:02:37.180
 an introduction, as you'll see in just a little bit as we kind of move to this next season

00:02:37.180 --> 00:02:41.740
 in our life and stages as we walk through Judges.

00:02:41.740 --> 00:02:46.940
 Now, also, this morning's message is going to be a little bit shorter because of that,

00:02:47.040 --> 00:02:53.480
 but also we've got a special opportunity at the end of the service for you guys to get

00:02:53.480 --> 00:02:55.380
 to be a part and experience something.

00:02:55.840 --> 00:03:00.640
 As many of you know, we are a Southern Baptist church, and being a Southern Baptist church,

00:03:00.720 --> 00:03:04.660
 we're part of the International Mission Board, which is the world's largest international

00:03:04.660 --> 00:03:07.520
 Christian missions organization.

00:03:08.160 --> 00:03:13.740
 And with us this morning, we have an IMB missionary who's going to come up and share where he and

00:03:13.740 --> 00:03:19.040
 his family, where they serve and what that's like, and thank us for being a part as we partner

00:03:19.040 --> 00:03:20.340
 together in the Great Commission.

00:03:20.840 --> 00:03:22.300
 Now, I do want to say this.

00:03:22.640 --> 00:03:25.900
 If you're here on campus with us, you'll get to experience all of that.

00:03:26.200 --> 00:03:30.900
 If you're joining us online, I'm sorry because of where this family serves and because of the

00:03:30.900 --> 00:03:36.200
 safety of those that they serve with, we will have to end our recording and end our online

00:03:36.200 --> 00:03:40.580
 stream during that time, and we will not be able to make it available.

00:03:40.900 --> 00:03:45.540
 But it is going to be a wonderful time that God's going to bless us and remind us of what

00:03:45.540 --> 00:03:47.840
 all He is doing all over the world.

00:03:48.680 --> 00:03:57.840
 So, it's been an interesting couple weeks to be at home, to be there with the TV, with news,

00:03:58.860 --> 00:03:59.860
 and with social media.

00:04:02.480 --> 00:04:11.860
 Getting on and reading about Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram.

00:04:13.820 --> 00:04:22.380
 There's been stories, there's been comments that kind of define the culture and the situation

00:04:22.380 --> 00:04:23.900
 where we find ourselves right now.

00:04:25.540 --> 00:04:32.340
 And what I want to do in a moment of honesty, in a moment of transparency, for all of us in

00:04:32.340 --> 00:04:38.140
 here and for all of us at home, I want to ask you a question based off of what I've been

00:04:38.140 --> 00:04:40.040
 reading, based off of what I've been seeing.

00:04:41.540 --> 00:04:48.760
 And it's a question that I want in here for you to be honest and transparent and public

00:04:48.760 --> 00:04:54.100
 in a very controversial topic.

00:04:56.260 --> 00:05:00.860
 How many of you have started decorating for Christmas?

00:05:03.040 --> 00:05:04.800
 Y'all thought I was going to ask something else, didn't you?

00:05:05.300 --> 00:05:05.560
 All right.

00:05:05.600 --> 00:05:09.420
 So, I don't know about at home, but in here, raise hands if you started decorating for Christmas

00:05:09.420 --> 00:05:09.920
 so far.

00:05:10.640 --> 00:05:14.020
 We've got one in here in the building with us, right?

00:05:14.240 --> 00:05:18.580
 Like, I know it's hard to believe because it's 85 degrees outside, right?

00:05:18.720 --> 00:05:21.560
 But, like, Christmas is approaching, right?

00:05:21.600 --> 00:05:26.020
 So, we're still in our shorts and t-shirts, some of you in your tank tops.

00:05:26.400 --> 00:05:27.920
 South Carolina fall, right?

00:05:27.940 --> 00:05:28.600
 It'll be over.

00:05:28.780 --> 00:05:32.720
 It'll be 20 degrees next week and then 85 by, like, 3 o'clock.

00:05:32.860 --> 00:05:36.980
 But we're starting to experience Christmas, right?

00:05:37.100 --> 00:05:42.400
 One of the things, when Aaron and I, right before we had the code thing at the house, we'd

00:05:42.400 --> 00:05:47.360
 gone out grocery shopping, and we'd gone into one of these grocery stores, and part that

00:05:47.360 --> 00:05:52.680
 just helps me remind me that it is the Christmas season of what I love is there's a coffee that

00:05:52.680 --> 00:05:57.840
 I can only get around this time of year, and it's Starbucks Holiday Blend, and I know a

00:05:57.840 --> 00:05:59.420
 lot of you don't like that, and I'm sorry.

00:05:59.560 --> 00:06:02.280
 I'll pray for you, but I deeply, deeply love it.

00:06:02.380 --> 00:06:04.380
 And we walked into a grocery store.

00:06:04.540 --> 00:06:09.400
 I'm not sure if they mispriced it, but they had it priced at $4.98 a bag.

00:06:10.000 --> 00:06:16.140
 And I looked at Aaron, and I said, we're buying everything they got.

00:06:16.460 --> 00:06:20.800
 Cleared the shelves with it, got there, so then later on when we find out we've got to

00:06:20.800 --> 00:06:24.980
 quarantine for a while, she's like, do we have everything food-wise that we need?

00:06:25.040 --> 00:06:26.660
 Because we've got people asking what we can do.

00:06:26.900 --> 00:06:27.940
 I opened up the pantry.

00:06:28.260 --> 00:06:30.900
 I showed her the entire shelf at Starbucks, like, we're covered.

00:06:30.980 --> 00:06:31.560
 Like, we're good.

00:06:31.740 --> 00:06:32.660
 We've got this.

00:06:32.860 --> 00:06:34.880
 This can get us through two weeks, right?

00:06:34.900 --> 00:06:39.720
 But it's Christmas season, and I love that people were decorating already.

00:06:39.720 --> 00:06:45.420
 Well, we're normally, we decorate our house the Saturday after Thanksgiving, but we've even

00:06:45.420 --> 00:06:48.040
 talked about doing it earlier, but we're real tree people, right?

00:06:48.080 --> 00:06:52.560
 We couldn't get one, but as soon as we can, we're going to go ahead and decorate inflatables

00:06:52.560 --> 00:06:53.400
 for the front yard.

00:06:53.580 --> 00:06:54.320
 I can't wait.

00:06:54.780 --> 00:06:57.000
 I love the fact that it's Christmas season.

00:06:57.420 --> 00:07:01.180
 I love the fact that it's what people are beginning to talk about.

00:07:01.680 --> 00:07:07.800
 And what I'm hoping that God is going to do is that in the other seasons of life that we

00:07:07.800 --> 00:07:12.040
 find ourselves in, and the other things that maybe you thought that I was going to talk

00:07:12.040 --> 00:07:17.400
 about just a second ago, and it got really awkward in the room, right, is the phrase that

00:07:17.400 --> 00:07:19.940
 we use is the reason for the season.

00:07:20.140 --> 00:07:21.320
 It's the catchphrase.

00:07:21.380 --> 00:07:23.380
 It's been talked about for years.

00:07:23.880 --> 00:07:29.160
 And what God's going to point us to in Judges, and what we're going to come through, I hope

00:07:29.160 --> 00:07:31.020
 it reminds us of that.

00:07:31.360 --> 00:07:36.840
 As we even look forward to our Christmas series, that will be what we start after this series

00:07:36.840 --> 00:07:37.580
 is over with.

00:07:37.920 --> 00:07:44.140
 And as we look at Judges 13 in the life of Samson, as we talk about the birth of Samson

00:07:44.140 --> 00:07:49.280
 today, it's going to give us some foreshadowing into the Christmas season, some foreshadowing

00:07:49.280 --> 00:07:55.360
 into the birth and the life of Christ, and what God's trying to stir our hearts for as we

00:07:55.360 --> 00:08:00.760
 look for this Savior, Redeemer, that's come to set us free from the sins of the world.

00:08:01.520 --> 00:08:07.800
 And so I hope for you, where you find yourselves this morning, whether you've started decorating

00:08:07.800 --> 00:08:17.200
 your house or not, I hope what you find yourselves is getting into being reminded of this season

00:08:17.200 --> 00:08:23.200
 that we will celebrate, but it won't be a season that is marked by dragging decorations out of

00:08:23.200 --> 00:08:28.980
 the attic and then one day putting them back up, but it's a season that resides in our heart.

00:08:30.620 --> 00:08:33.980
 And it's who we are, and it's what we're about.

00:08:35.980 --> 00:08:40.200
 So in Judges 13 verse 1, it says,

00:08:41.380 --> 00:08:58.380
 We find ourselves back at where we were before in almost every message as we've gone through.

00:08:58.380 --> 00:08:59.420
 This is week 8.

00:09:00.260 --> 00:09:04.220
 We begin and we find ourselves in the same pattern again.

00:09:04.660 --> 00:09:10.160
 Israel finds herself where she has been so many times before, stuck in a pattern of sin.

00:09:12.660 --> 00:09:19.580
 So many times in Judges, what we see is this pattern, and it's not, it's noted by the pattern

00:09:19.580 --> 00:09:20.440
 of the pattern of again.

00:09:20.440 --> 00:09:23.860
 Again, again, Israel does what's evil.

00:09:24.100 --> 00:09:26.920
 Again, Israel does what's evil.

00:09:27.280 --> 00:09:31.500
 And so what I want us to kind of look at as we, as we go through this, as we look back on what

00:09:31.500 --> 00:09:36.680
 we've talked about and looking forward to what we will see, we hope that we find ourselves

00:09:36.680 --> 00:09:39.400
 right where Israel finds herself.

00:09:39.960 --> 00:09:43.660
 Are you and I again stuck in the pattern of sin?

00:09:43.920 --> 00:09:48.000
 Are you and I again find that we're doing evil in the sight of the Lord?

00:09:48.080 --> 00:09:49.340
 And this is what we are seeing.

00:09:49.560 --> 00:09:51.280
 This pattern found in life.

00:09:51.920 --> 00:09:52.800
 We're God's people.

00:09:52.900 --> 00:09:57.320
 In spite of all that they know, in spite of all that they've experienced, in spite of all

00:09:57.320 --> 00:10:04.900
 that they claim true, yet again, we find ourselves doing evil in the sight of the Lord.

00:10:05.900 --> 00:10:12.060
 And I know that for me, as I navigate through this, it's so easy for me to pick up the stone

00:10:12.060 --> 00:10:14.400
 of judgment and cast it at Israel.

00:10:14.580 --> 00:10:18.040
 But I find that so many times, this is where I find myself as well.

00:10:18.140 --> 00:10:22.780
 If I'm being honest and open and transparent, in spite of what I know, in spite of what I've

00:10:22.780 --> 00:10:28.500
 experienced, in spite of what I've done, again, again, again.

00:10:29.820 --> 00:10:31.800
 And so here God does.

00:10:32.400 --> 00:10:33.940
 He turns them over.

00:10:34.520 --> 00:10:39.980
 He turns them over in the Philistines so that they can feel, they can experience and grow

00:10:39.980 --> 00:10:45.420
 through and be redeemed from the bondage of their sin.

00:10:46.420 --> 00:10:51.440
 And so it's again, it's again, it's again.

00:10:52.920 --> 00:10:54.620
 Again, they need God.

00:10:55.840 --> 00:10:58.060
 Again, they need him to come rescue them.

00:10:59.340 --> 00:11:00.840
 Again, they need the Lord.

00:11:02.240 --> 00:11:03.700
 Again, he must intervene.

00:11:04.520 --> 00:11:13.780
 One of the things that I have noticed on social media over the last several days is the phrase

00:11:13.780 --> 00:11:20.780
 being used by some to explain the feelings in which they feel when they say things like,

00:11:21.560 --> 00:11:25.020
 we need Jesus like never before.

00:11:25.020 --> 00:11:33.400
 I want to talk about that phrase because that phrase could be put on Israel.

00:11:35.020 --> 00:11:39.900
 In chapter 13, again, they need the Lord like never before.

00:11:39.940 --> 00:11:44.960
 I think when that phrase is used, the intent is okay.

00:11:46.040 --> 00:11:51.040
 I think the heart of the heart of the individual of what they're trying to proclaim is the reminder

00:11:51.040 --> 00:11:52.460
 that we need Jesus.

00:11:53.360 --> 00:11:55.720
 But the theology of it is incorrect.

00:11:57.100 --> 00:12:01.600
 Because the truth of the statement is not, we need Jesus like never before.

00:12:02.300 --> 00:12:05.560
 The truth of the statement is, we need Jesus.

00:12:06.940 --> 00:12:17.200
 That's where it's 20-20, 18-20, 17-20, no matter what point in time in which we find ourselves

00:12:17.200 --> 00:12:19.680
 post the fall, guess what?

00:12:20.440 --> 00:12:23.200
 We need Jesus.

00:12:24.560 --> 00:12:32.060
 And it's where we find ourselves and it's where Israel finds itself in Judges 13.

00:12:33.120 --> 00:12:33.520
 Why?

00:12:34.400 --> 00:12:41.240
 Because the continual problem of man is the depravity of the heart of man.

00:12:42.660 --> 00:12:48.260
 And so again, Israel does what's evil in the eyes of the Lord.

00:12:49.360 --> 00:12:52.660
 Again, they live in their bondage of sin.

00:12:53.560 --> 00:12:59.580
 And again, they need the Lord where we find ourselves.

00:13:00.440 --> 00:13:05.900
 And so the theme of Judges of what we've seen in the past, what we will see in Samson and

00:13:05.900 --> 00:13:12.040
 continue to see as we close out this book over the next several weeks is God in the impossible.

00:13:12.660 --> 00:13:16.800
 Now, I want to say this so that I'm equally correct theologically.

00:13:17.400 --> 00:13:22.420
 God works in both the impossible and in the possible, all right?

00:13:22.780 --> 00:13:24.100
 God works in both.

00:13:24.600 --> 00:13:29.840
 God doesn't just step in and say, oh, you can't do anything now, so watch what I can do, right?

00:13:29.940 --> 00:13:33.380
 God works in the possible when we think that we're the ones achieving it.

00:13:33.380 --> 00:13:37.380
 And God works in the impossible when we've given up and realized that it's got to come from Him.

00:13:37.660 --> 00:13:39.860
 God is equally at work.

00:13:40.080 --> 00:13:41.840
 God is equally moving.

00:13:42.140 --> 00:13:47.900
 God is equally working us in the path of His plan to redeem for Himself a people.

00:13:48.440 --> 00:13:55.120
 But oftentimes, what God graciously does is when we see these experiences of God working in the impossible,

00:13:55.500 --> 00:13:59.980
 is it opens our eyes to acknowledge that it came from Him and Him alone.

00:14:00.540 --> 00:14:04.200
 Two times in Scripture, Jesus is confronted with a problem.

00:14:04.700 --> 00:14:14.100
 And the problem that He's confronted with is that there are large thousands of people who have been listening to Him speak, watching Him heal.

00:14:14.260 --> 00:14:16.820
 And in that moment, they are hungry.

00:14:17.840 --> 00:14:18.540
 A problem.

00:14:19.680 --> 00:14:21.880
 A problem that can be fixed in the possible.

00:14:22.880 --> 00:14:31.440
 God could have rallied His disciples and sent them into the market to explain what was going on and to get enough food to come back and take care of the needs, but He doesn't.

00:14:32.720 --> 00:14:41.500
 Instead, He's able to get His hands on an insufficient amount of food and then multiply the food to feed the masses.

00:14:42.220 --> 00:14:46.600
 God could have worked through the possible of what made sense, but He chose not to.

00:14:46.600 --> 00:14:56.660
 He worked through the impossible, and in doing so, eyes are open to understand who He is as He explains and as He displays His divinity.

00:14:57.720 --> 00:14:58.940
 God working in the impossible.

00:14:59.820 --> 00:15:03.100
 And so it's what we've been seeing in Judges time and time again.

00:15:03.100 --> 00:15:08.820
 The impossible situation in which Israel finds itself and God says,

00:15:09.480 --> 00:15:15.700
 Watch what I'm going to do because I'm a God who works in the possible, but I'm also the God that works in the impossible.

00:15:16.600 --> 00:15:19.900
 As your eyes are aware, as your eyes are opened.

00:15:20.620 --> 00:15:27.100
 Well, the story of the impossible is going to be so filled into Samson's life.

00:15:27.780 --> 00:15:29.020
 Let's keep reading verse 2.

00:15:29.940 --> 00:15:30.120
 It says,

00:15:30.120 --> 00:15:40.060
 There was a certain man of Zorah of the tribe of the Danites, whose name was Manoah, and his wife was barren and had no children.

00:15:40.860 --> 00:15:44.900
 And the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her,

00:15:45.460 --> 00:15:51.960
 Behold, you are barren and have not born children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.

00:15:52.540 --> 00:15:58.980
 Therefore, be careful and drink no wine or strong drink and eat nothing unclean.

00:15:59.600 --> 00:16:02.180
 For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son.

00:16:02.940 --> 00:16:09.240
 No razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb.

00:16:09.880 --> 00:16:11.720
 And he shall begin.

00:16:11.860 --> 00:16:12.820
 I want you to focus that.

00:16:12.880 --> 00:16:17.280
 If you're like me and you underline things in your Bible, underline he shall begin.

00:16:18.040 --> 00:16:23.040
 To save Israel from the hand of the Philistines.

00:16:23.840 --> 00:16:30.880
 What we're going to see in this passage of Scripture are the similarities that we're going to find in the gospel narrative

00:16:30.880 --> 00:16:34.160
 between the birth of Jesus and the birth of Samson.

00:16:34.160 --> 00:16:47.880
 But the writer of the text gives us these three words, he shall begin, as a reminder so that we don't get confused that Samson and Jesus aren't on the same playing field.

00:16:47.880 --> 00:17:01.120
 So that we understand what we are seeing is a foreshadowing of what took place, but that Samson in and of himself is an insufficient redeemer to do what needs to be done.

00:17:01.220 --> 00:17:06.400
 Because in these three words, he shall begin, but he will not be able to complete.

00:17:07.660 --> 00:17:15.080
 You see, found within the limitations of Samson, in all of these, it is a work that God is going to put in place.

00:17:15.520 --> 00:17:18.800
 But it is not a work that is going to be done eternally.

00:17:19.760 --> 00:17:21.440
 And so we begin to see and understand.

00:17:22.000 --> 00:17:23.760
 So let's look at the comparisons.

00:17:24.160 --> 00:17:36.720
 Here we see an angel of God appears to a woman who was without child and should not be able to have children based off of the condition in which the angel comes to her.

00:17:37.600 --> 00:17:38.920
 We see that with Samson, right?

00:17:39.540 --> 00:17:42.220
 For Samson's mom, she's barren.

00:17:42.300 --> 00:17:43.700
 She's not able to have kids.

00:17:44.040 --> 00:17:49.340
 She's tried for years to come to her elderly moment and says, this is what's going to happen.

00:17:49.640 --> 00:17:51.540
 This is what's going to take place in your life.

00:17:52.080 --> 00:17:53.800
 In the story of Jesus, right?

00:17:54.140 --> 00:17:59.460
 Appears to Mary at a different age, but finds that she's a virgin.

00:18:00.860 --> 00:18:06.460
 Unable to have children based off of the conditions they find themselves in.

00:18:06.740 --> 00:18:10.720
 But the angel of the Lord comes and says, God has a different plan for you.

00:18:11.260 --> 00:18:23.040
 With here, we see that from the very beginning, before life even exists in flesh, God has a plan for the deliverance of his people.

00:18:23.400 --> 00:18:27.460
 Every other judge that we look at, they're established.

00:18:28.160 --> 00:18:29.400
 They have character.

00:18:29.820 --> 00:18:31.100
 They have history.

00:18:31.440 --> 00:18:32.600
 They have a past.

00:18:32.960 --> 00:18:34.220
 People know who they are.

00:18:34.220 --> 00:18:43.700
 But here in the life of Samson, it is declared before he is even conceived that he will deliver.

00:18:44.680 --> 00:18:46.460
 And the exact same thing.

00:18:46.900 --> 00:18:50.340
 That God sends his son.

00:18:51.340 --> 00:18:57.840
 The life of the two, even though they are different from each other, they will be different from the norm of what's there.

00:18:58.560 --> 00:19:09.560
 The life of Jesus will be a life marked by a sinless nature and action of who he is, unlike anyone who has ever lived and anyone who will ever live.

00:19:10.100 --> 00:19:19.340
 But for Samson, while he doesn't have the sinless nature, he takes the Nazarite vow that he cannot drink from the vine, that even his mother cannot.

00:19:19.340 --> 00:19:32.780
 That he cannot cut his hair, that he cannot become spiritually unclean, so that both of them, that when you see them, you'll be reminded of the fact that they were chosen for a purpose and for a reason.

00:19:33.100 --> 00:19:34.900
 Now, Samson, we're going to see next week.

00:19:35.020 --> 00:19:35.720
 He's got his struggles.

00:19:35.820 --> 00:19:36.700
 He's going to have his issues.

00:19:36.920 --> 00:19:38.180
 He's going to have his failures.

00:19:39.560 --> 00:19:51.360
 Unlike Jesus, who's sinless and perfect, but both marked from the beginning, we see in their similarity the fact that they were set apart.

00:19:52.500 --> 00:19:57.060
 Samson set apart from the womb, but Jesus set apart from the beginning.

00:19:58.160 --> 00:20:06.640
 Jesus set apart not in the moment where the angel declared it to Mary, but Jesus set apart before time began.

00:20:06.640 --> 00:20:16.440
 So that in Genesis 3, when sin enters into the world, that God speaks and declares the deliverer who will set him free.

00:20:17.440 --> 00:20:24.800
 We begin to see the similarities that begin to link through in the birth of Samson, in the life of Samson,

00:20:24.960 --> 00:20:30.580
 and it foreshadows to the future of what we can see in the person and the life of Jesus.

00:20:30.760 --> 00:20:32.760
 But there is a difference.

00:20:32.760 --> 00:20:40.540
 What we will find is that in Samson, it is a beginning, it is a process because of the imperfection that is in him.

00:20:40.760 --> 00:20:49.540
 But in Jesus, we'll see the perfecting work that doesn't just reach for a generation, but as we just sang,

00:20:50.380 --> 00:20:55.060
 from generation to generation to generation to generation.

00:20:56.140 --> 00:21:01.600
 In the book of Judges, there's been a theme that we're going to see, and we're going to see in the life of Samson's parents.

00:21:02.360 --> 00:21:07.640
 We're going to see that of obedient faith, of what we've talked about and what we will continue to work through.

00:21:08.240 --> 00:21:14.700
 That an obedient faith that these two words combine bring us to what we are called to be in our lives.

00:21:14.920 --> 00:21:21.520
 Obedience, what we do, faith in what we believe, and when we put these things together, it doesn't just define what we do,

00:21:21.640 --> 00:21:26.140
 but it's an explanation of who we are, of what God is calling us to.

00:21:27.040 --> 00:21:27.820
 Oh, I'm obedient.

00:21:28.680 --> 00:21:29.780
 Oh, I've got faith.

00:21:30.320 --> 00:21:38.360
 But are they together working in your life so that in obedient faith, you're walking and doing what God has told you to do,

00:21:38.360 --> 00:21:42.720
 because you've put your faith and trust in Him and who He is.

00:21:43.560 --> 00:21:48.420
 So let's see what this begins to look like in the life of Samson's parents.

00:21:48.920 --> 00:21:50.020
 Start verse 6.

00:21:51.400 --> 00:21:53.220
 And the woman came and told her husband,

00:21:54.500 --> 00:22:00.860
 A man of God came to me, and his appearance was like the appearance of the angel of God.

00:22:01.520 --> 00:22:02.380
 Very awesome.

00:22:03.280 --> 00:22:07.500
 I did not ask him where he was from, and he did not tell me his name.

00:22:08.360 --> 00:22:09.300
 But he said to me,

00:22:10.040 --> 00:22:13.620
 Behold, you shall conceive and bear a son.

00:22:14.320 --> 00:22:19.100
 So then drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean.

00:22:19.560 --> 00:22:24.400
 For the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

00:22:25.320 --> 00:22:28.080
 And Manoah prayed to the Lord and said,

00:22:28.080 --> 00:22:37.420
 O Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent come again to us and teach us what we are to do with the child who will be born.

00:22:38.360 --> 00:22:43.100
 So Samson's mom, whose name is never given, comes to her husband and says,

00:22:43.320 --> 00:22:44.800
 Hey, here's what's going to happen.

00:22:45.620 --> 00:22:47.620
 Here's what's going to take place.

00:22:48.540 --> 00:22:50.220
 I know that I've been barren.

00:22:50.300 --> 00:22:53.140
 I know that I haven't been able to have a child.

00:22:53.300 --> 00:22:57.160
 Like, what every family would have worked for and pushed for.

00:22:57.360 --> 00:22:59.880
 This was what was going to take care of them.

00:22:59.880 --> 00:23:06.840
 This is give their mark and culture and society what we've longed for and kind of surrendered that this isn't for us.

00:23:07.140 --> 00:23:09.180
 God came to me, and God said,

00:23:09.520 --> 00:23:13.140
 This is what is going to happen and what is going to take place.

00:23:13.440 --> 00:23:16.960
 And God is setting him aside for a purpose.

00:23:17.280 --> 00:23:17.380
 Right?

00:23:17.420 --> 00:23:18.800
 We see the faith in this woman.

00:23:18.920 --> 00:23:20.920
 We see the obedience in this woman.

00:23:22.000 --> 00:23:23.200
 And then Manoah begins to pray.

00:23:24.220 --> 00:23:26.020
 And here's what he responds with.

00:23:26.700 --> 00:23:32.860
 I mean, imagine your whole life, you've come to the realization that this won't happen for me.

00:23:33.600 --> 00:23:37.780
 You've gone through the struggles when it happens in other people, those closest to you,

00:23:37.880 --> 00:23:41.520
 with times where you think this may could, and then it's taken away from you.

00:23:42.820 --> 00:23:46.140
 And his response is, Lord, what do we do with this?

00:23:47.480 --> 00:23:49.640
 Lord, how do we respond with this?

00:23:51.060 --> 00:23:53.640
 Lord, what is required from us?

00:23:54.760 --> 00:24:01.240
 I remember when Aaron and I found out that we were going to be parents for the first time.

00:24:02.680 --> 00:24:06.160
 What we needed the most was help.

00:24:06.880 --> 00:24:07.180
 You know?

00:24:07.600 --> 00:24:08.640
 Like, help me.

00:24:08.720 --> 00:24:09.660
 I don't know.

00:24:10.000 --> 00:24:10.260
 Right?

00:24:10.560 --> 00:24:13.200
 I've barely been able to keep our dog alive.

00:24:13.220 --> 00:24:14.700
 And now we're going to have kids.

00:24:14.780 --> 00:24:14.920
 Right?

00:24:14.920 --> 00:24:15.860
 Help us.

00:24:16.680 --> 00:24:20.780
 And now in the weight of this, Manoah comes and he asks God for help.

00:24:21.380 --> 00:24:22.720
 And look down at verse 18.

00:24:24.120 --> 00:24:26.220
 And the angel of the Lord said to him,

00:24:27.200 --> 00:24:30.600
 Why do you ask my name, seeing it is wonderful?

00:24:31.700 --> 00:24:36.140
 And so Manoah took the goat with the grain offering and offered it on the rock to the Lord,

00:24:37.100 --> 00:24:38.840
 and to the one who works wonders.

00:24:39.000 --> 00:24:41.140
 And Manoah and his wife were watching.

00:24:41.800 --> 00:24:46.880
 And when the flame went up toward heaven from the altar, the angel of the Lord went up in the flame of the altar.

00:24:47.420 --> 00:24:51.980
 Now Manoah and his wife were watching, and they fell on their faces to the ground.

00:24:52.820 --> 00:24:53.480
 Verse 21.

00:24:54.320 --> 00:25:01.420
 The angel of the Lord appeared no more to Manoah and his wife, and then Manoah knew that he was the angel of the Lord.

00:25:02.060 --> 00:25:11.020
 But Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, get this, for we have seen God.

00:25:11.020 --> 00:25:20.080
 But his wife said to him, If the Lord had meant to kill us, he would have not accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering at our hands,

00:25:20.200 --> 00:25:25.940
 or shown us all these things, or announced to us such things as these.

00:25:27.340 --> 00:25:29.180
 So Manoah here in this moment, right?

00:25:30.100 --> 00:25:35.260
 He understands what we see happen so many times in the Old Testament.

00:25:36.220 --> 00:25:38.300
 This wasn't just an angel of the Lord.

00:25:39.180 --> 00:25:40.120
 This was God.

00:25:41.280 --> 00:25:44.500
 That God appeared before us.

00:25:45.380 --> 00:25:53.180
 And he knows that when human eyes see the Lord, that what should come is death.

00:25:54.100 --> 00:25:57.900
 But God had a different plan of what was going to happen.

00:25:58.520 --> 00:26:06.000
 God had a different plan as we begin to see the pieces of the gospel woven through this Old Testament scripture.

00:26:06.780 --> 00:26:09.580
 That as Manoah came and he said, Look, Lord, I need help.

00:26:10.260 --> 00:26:11.900
 Look, Lord, I need to know what to do.

00:26:12.480 --> 00:26:17.860
 Lord, help me follow the rules that needs to be done so that I don't mess this up.

00:26:18.340 --> 00:26:23.280
 And instead of doing that, God reveals to them something more important than the rules.

00:26:23.280 --> 00:26:25.900
 Something more important than a behavior modification.

00:26:26.500 --> 00:26:29.600
 Something more important than getting their act together.

00:26:29.960 --> 00:26:32.640
 Instead, God says, Look, this is me.

00:26:33.600 --> 00:26:38.980
 And he doesn't point them to anything else other than God's glory.

00:26:41.000 --> 00:26:42.480
 And so Manoah is concerned.

00:26:43.520 --> 00:26:44.640
 Now, don't miss this.

00:26:46.100 --> 00:26:51.420
 That by seeing God, by God revealing himself to him,

00:26:52.420 --> 00:26:55.740
 Manoah's concern is that he'll receive death.

00:26:56.660 --> 00:26:58.660
 But instead, what does he gain?

00:26:59.840 --> 00:27:00.320
 Life.

00:27:01.800 --> 00:27:02.280
 Life.

00:27:03.540 --> 00:27:10.800
 That when people see and experience and are introduced to God,

00:27:11.600 --> 00:27:13.440
 God doesn't give them death.

00:27:14.300 --> 00:27:17.380
 What God does is he gives them life.

00:27:18.820 --> 00:27:20.700
 And this is the narrative that we're going to see in Scripture.

00:27:21.560 --> 00:27:25.320
 This is the hope that we're reminded of for where we find ourselves.

00:27:26.320 --> 00:27:30.920
 Is that what we deserved as we do what's evil in our own eyes.

00:27:31.520 --> 00:27:36.340
 What we deserve as we're confronted with the truth of who God is and the truth of who we are.

00:27:37.080 --> 00:27:39.360
 What we deserve is death.

00:27:40.360 --> 00:27:43.340
 But what God gives is life.

00:27:44.860 --> 00:27:48.900
 And so for them, a deliverer is born.

00:27:50.240 --> 00:27:51.080
 Verse 24.

00:27:52.360 --> 00:27:55.680
 And the woman bore a son and called his name Samson.

00:27:56.520 --> 00:27:59.980
 And the young man grew and the Lord blessed him.

00:28:00.660 --> 00:28:08.000
 And the spirit of the Lord began to stir him and Manadan between Zorah and Eshtol.

00:28:09.360 --> 00:28:10.680
 So Samson will be born.

00:28:11.520 --> 00:28:13.380
 And we're going to look at his life next week, right?

00:28:14.060 --> 00:28:16.100
 And his life is going to have some ups and his downs.

00:28:16.840 --> 00:28:20.180
 Some moments of obedience and some moments of failure.

00:28:20.980 --> 00:28:22.200
 But Samson will be born.

00:28:23.340 --> 00:28:25.440
 And we'll see this as it's gone through the judges.

00:28:26.660 --> 00:28:31.240
 And we know that before the judges, we saw the lineage of God's deliverers that he sent his people.

00:28:32.400 --> 00:28:34.480
 He sent them Moses and he sent them Joshua.

00:28:35.540 --> 00:28:39.720
 And then after the judges, we'll go through the period where God sends them kings.

00:28:40.460 --> 00:28:44.380
 And the kings will lead God's people and the kings will lead them into battle.

00:28:44.580 --> 00:28:47.100
 And we'll see the victories that take place from the kings.

00:28:47.100 --> 00:28:51.600
 And we'll be introduced to men of faith a lot like David.

00:28:52.820 --> 00:28:54.940
 And after the kings, there will come the prophets.

00:28:55.980 --> 00:29:02.200
 The people who speak for God and declare the truth and call God's people to repentance and point them.

00:29:03.300 --> 00:29:08.000
 But we see this cycle that goes on and goes on and goes on.

00:29:08.780 --> 00:29:11.720
 And people look at these as they're sent.

00:29:12.580 --> 00:29:14.120
 They look at Moses.

00:29:14.400 --> 00:29:15.800
 They look at Joshua.

00:29:15.960 --> 00:29:16.860
 They look at the judges.

00:29:17.080 --> 00:29:18.180
 They'll look at the kings.

00:29:18.360 --> 00:29:19.580
 They'll look at the prophets.

00:29:19.760 --> 00:29:28.140
 And the failure comes when they remove their eyes off of the Lord and they place their eyes on the men.

00:29:29.460 --> 00:29:31.680
 They place their eyes on their circumstances.

00:29:32.820 --> 00:29:35.160
 They place their eyes on themselves.

00:29:36.640 --> 00:29:42.320
 They place their eyes on the false gods that they've held up.

00:29:44.320 --> 00:29:51.340
 And what we see, what God gives us an opportunity right now as we roll into this season of time,

00:29:52.120 --> 00:29:57.860
 as we look at the story of Samson, which points us to a greater story,

00:29:58.740 --> 00:30:00.480
 is that a deliverer is born.

00:30:02.260 --> 00:30:03.700
 We want to focus.

00:30:04.360 --> 00:30:08.220
 What we want to see is the deliverer who doesn't begin,

00:30:09.220 --> 00:30:12.560
 but the deliverer who began and who completed.

00:30:13.840 --> 00:30:15.020
 I want to tell y'all a story.

00:30:16.740 --> 00:30:21.720
 And it's a story that I hope can speak some life,

00:30:22.960 --> 00:30:26.360
 maybe into where you find yourself in life right now.

00:30:27.440 --> 00:30:29.600
 Like I said, you know, the last two weeks,

00:30:30.640 --> 00:30:34.280
 we've been stuck at home with time for lots of conversation,

00:30:34.580 --> 00:30:37.920
 lots of prayer, lots of reflecting, and just talking and looking.

00:30:38.080 --> 00:30:41.200
 It reminded me of a story from my childhood.

00:30:42.420 --> 00:30:45.180
 My best friend growing up was a guy named Joe Timmerman.

00:30:46.440 --> 00:30:48.900
 And Joe lived like three houses down.

00:30:49.060 --> 00:30:50.260
 We lived on the same street.

00:30:51.300 --> 00:30:55.360
 And Joe had the best driveway in the neighborhood.

00:30:56.020 --> 00:30:57.780
 Here's why his driveway was really impressive.

00:30:58.880 --> 00:31:01.560
 It started off like a normal driveway,

00:31:01.720 --> 00:31:05.000
 but his driveway then turned for his parents to be able to go in the garage.

00:31:05.000 --> 00:31:11.640
 And so it opened up into a flat and a wide level of concrete.

00:31:12.100 --> 00:31:17.960
 And very quickly, we learned where the exact spot was in the driveway

00:31:17.960 --> 00:31:20.280
 to place a basketball goal,

00:31:20.900 --> 00:31:24.060
 where we could have a full three-point line

00:31:24.060 --> 00:31:26.220
 so that when we would go to play,

00:31:26.440 --> 00:31:28.240
 this was the place that we could play,

00:31:28.380 --> 00:31:32.080
 and we could get five-on-five in Joe Timmerman's driveway

00:31:32.080 --> 00:31:33.460
 to play basketball.

00:31:33.460 --> 00:31:36.180
 And so almost every single day,

00:31:36.340 --> 00:31:38.600
 the poor Timmermans, even when they wanted to nap,

00:31:38.800 --> 00:31:40.800
 had to hear the thump, the thump, the thump,

00:31:40.920 --> 00:31:43.520
 with basketballs constantly at their house, right?

00:31:44.060 --> 00:31:47.380
 Well, we love playing basketball there.

00:31:48.100 --> 00:31:50.320
 Well, Mr. Timmerman one day,

00:31:50.920 --> 00:31:53.880
 I don't know who he thought he was as the owner of the house, right?

00:31:54.060 --> 00:31:59.080
 But decided on the side of the driveway to plant some crepe myrtles.

00:32:00.060 --> 00:32:01.540
 Well, at first, they didn't bother us.

00:32:02.220 --> 00:32:03.900
 But over the years, they got bigger.

00:32:04.840 --> 00:32:08.720
 And the branches began to hang over into the driveway,

00:32:09.040 --> 00:32:11.760
 which greatly inconvenienced us

00:32:11.760 --> 00:32:14.060
 if you wanted to take a three-point shot

00:32:14.060 --> 00:32:15.760
 from the left-hand side of the court.

00:32:16.500 --> 00:32:18.120
 And so some days, it was all right,

00:32:18.180 --> 00:32:19.600
 and you could work through,

00:32:19.760 --> 00:32:21.220
 and you could get a shot.

00:32:21.740 --> 00:32:23.760
 But then occasionally, right,

00:32:24.000 --> 00:32:25.720
 you'd work your way over there,

00:32:25.800 --> 00:32:27.060
 and you'd take a shot,

00:32:27.800 --> 00:32:30.680
 and the ball would just graze one of the branches.

00:32:30.940 --> 00:32:32.340
 Now, if it went in,

00:32:32.420 --> 00:32:34.040
 you acted like everything was fine.

00:32:34.100 --> 00:32:35.600
 But if it didn't, right,

00:32:36.320 --> 00:32:37.340
 you'd go, no, no, no, redo.

00:32:37.880 --> 00:32:38.600
 Redo, interference.

00:32:39.380 --> 00:32:40.320
 Interference, the branch.

00:32:40.920 --> 00:32:42.140
 Show your dad shit and planted that there.

00:32:42.340 --> 00:32:42.760
 We get a redo.

00:32:43.460 --> 00:32:45.720
 And so what would happen is you didn't get the ball

00:32:45.720 --> 00:32:48.240
 right where you found yourself before, right?

00:32:48.420 --> 00:32:50.580
 You got the ball back at the top of the key.

00:32:51.720 --> 00:32:52.840
 And so it wasn't necessarily a redo.

00:32:53.740 --> 00:32:54.480
 It was a reset.

00:32:55.480 --> 00:32:58.540
 It was like what just happened didn't happen.

00:32:59.260 --> 00:33:00.620
 And now you find yourself,

00:33:00.720 --> 00:33:02.280
 in spite of missing the shot,

00:33:02.860 --> 00:33:04.420
 you find yourself in a reset

00:33:04.420 --> 00:33:07.840
 where you can go back and do anything that you want to do,

00:33:08.700 --> 00:33:10.840
 anything that needs to be done.

00:33:12.680 --> 00:33:14.760
 As we go into this season,

00:33:16.080 --> 00:33:20.040
 2020 has been marked by so many of us,

00:33:20.160 --> 00:33:22.020
 by myself, as different seasons.

00:33:23.200 --> 00:33:25.320
 We've had everything that's gone on with politics

00:33:25.320 --> 00:33:27.920
 and going on with politics.

00:33:28.700 --> 00:33:31.100
 We've had everything that's gone on with COVID

00:33:31.100 --> 00:33:32.460
 and that will go on with COVID.

00:33:33.480 --> 00:33:36.660
 We've seen so many things stop and shut down.

00:33:38.180 --> 00:33:39.660
 We've seen it be phrased,

00:33:39.760 --> 00:33:42.280
 and I've used this myself more times

00:33:42.280 --> 00:33:43.860
 than I could even remember

00:33:43.860 --> 00:33:46.340
 as just the year that we got to get through

00:33:46.340 --> 00:33:47.100
 and got to get over.

00:33:48.640 --> 00:33:50.660
 But I'm hoping that as we look at this,

00:33:51.540 --> 00:33:54.480
 I'm hoping that as we conclude this time

00:33:54.480 --> 00:33:57.760
 and judges this season of life,

00:33:58.760 --> 00:34:01.160
 that what we can see is not a redo.

00:34:02.220 --> 00:34:05.720
 What we can see is a reset.

00:34:07.240 --> 00:34:08.940
 That God, as we move forward,

00:34:10.400 --> 00:34:14.060
 remind me that a deliverer is born,

00:34:15.040 --> 00:34:18.600
 a deliverer that begins and that sees through,

00:34:19.600 --> 00:34:22.160
 where my hope is found.

00:34:23.160 --> 00:34:26.980
 That if my life is like a grain of sand

00:34:26.980 --> 00:34:31.580
 compared to all of the beaches of the world,

00:34:32.720 --> 00:34:35.160
 that I understand that this moment in time

00:34:35.160 --> 00:34:41.020
 is so brief compared to the greatness

00:34:41.020 --> 00:34:42.560
 and majesty of who you are.

00:34:44.400 --> 00:34:46.340
 So right now with what we're trying to figure out

00:34:46.340 --> 00:34:51.180
 what to do, maybe our obedience says,

00:34:51.260 --> 00:34:55.100
 God, just let me rest and let me focus

00:34:55.100 --> 00:34:58.200
 and let me point people towards your glory.

00:34:59.320 --> 00:35:00.320
 Would you pray with me?

00:35:04.660 --> 00:35:05.980
 God, I thank you so much

00:35:05.980 --> 00:35:07.820
 for this opportunity that you give us.

00:35:09.620 --> 00:35:12.860
 Lord, this journey that we found ourselves on,

00:35:13.020 --> 00:35:14.800
 this what we're walking ourselves,

00:35:14.900 --> 00:35:16.060
 what we're going through, Lord,

00:35:17.080 --> 00:35:18.000
 this season,

00:35:19.000 --> 00:35:21.780
 it may have surprised us.

00:35:23.000 --> 00:35:24.700
 But it did not surprise you.

00:35:26.280 --> 00:35:28.180
 Lord, for some of us, for so many,

00:35:28.380 --> 00:35:30.140
 our hearts are unsettled.

00:35:33.420 --> 00:35:34.700
 We're struggling through.

00:35:34.960 --> 00:35:37.280
 We feel like we have a loss of hope

00:35:37.280 --> 00:35:39.560
 in our life.

00:35:41.560 --> 00:35:43.480
 Lord, I pray that we could remember

00:35:43.480 --> 00:35:47.880
 not just the scripture that we've read

00:35:47.880 --> 00:35:48.540
 and the message,

00:35:48.720 --> 00:35:50.920
 but Lord, even the songs that we proclaim.

00:35:52.440 --> 00:35:54.080
 Lord, as we sang before the message

00:35:54.080 --> 00:35:57.820
 that the Spirit of God is with us

00:35:57.820 --> 00:35:59.500
 and is within us.

00:36:01.160 --> 00:36:04.140
 Lord, that we could be reminded of the fact

00:36:04.140 --> 00:36:08.900
 that we have access to

00:36:08.900 --> 00:36:12.100
 a relationship with

00:36:12.100 --> 00:36:15.540
 an audience of one,

00:36:15.660 --> 00:36:16.640
 of the King of Kings

00:36:16.640 --> 00:36:17.660
 and the Lord of Lords.

00:36:21.180 --> 00:36:23.100
 Lord, that as we pull

00:36:23.100 --> 00:36:25.240
 our decorations out,

00:36:25.360 --> 00:36:26.980
 as we put our trees up,

00:36:27.760 --> 00:36:32.000
 as we prepare our list for Santa

00:36:32.000 --> 00:36:36.540
 or that we could be reminded

00:36:36.540 --> 00:36:40.240
 during this season

00:36:40.240 --> 00:36:43.760
 that a Deliverer was born

00:36:43.760 --> 00:36:47.380
 and that this Deliverer

00:36:47.380 --> 00:36:49.500
 was born,

00:36:51.140 --> 00:36:51.860
 lived,

00:36:53.380 --> 00:36:54.180
 died,

00:36:54.580 --> 00:36:56.680
 and rose again.

00:36:59.040 --> 00:37:00.660
 And so that in Him

00:37:00.660 --> 00:37:03.540
 we find life

00:37:03.540 --> 00:37:05.080
 and a hope

00:37:05.080 --> 00:37:06.620
 and meaning

00:37:06.620 --> 00:37:08.260
 and purpose.

00:37:11.200 --> 00:37:12.760
 Lord, may so many times

00:37:12.760 --> 00:37:14.020
 when the narrative of our life

00:37:14.020 --> 00:37:16.200
 reflects the narrative of Israel

00:37:16.200 --> 00:37:17.360
 in Judges 13,

00:37:18.200 --> 00:37:19.560
 that again,

00:37:19.680 --> 00:37:20.520
 your people did

00:37:20.520 --> 00:37:21.320
 what was evil

00:37:21.320 --> 00:37:23.260
 in the sight of the Lord.

00:37:25.680 --> 00:37:27.620
 Lord, that we could be reminded of,

00:37:27.680 --> 00:37:29.500
 that our hearts could be drawn to

00:37:29.500 --> 00:37:32.440
 the faithful obedience

00:37:32.440 --> 00:37:35.300
 that you've called us,

00:37:35.360 --> 00:37:36.820
 that you've chosen us for,

00:37:36.900 --> 00:37:38.060
 that you've saved us for.

00:37:40.280 --> 00:37:41.420
 For your name,

00:37:42.200 --> 00:37:43.140
 for your glory.

00:37:47.140 --> 00:37:48.300
 Jesus, we love you.

00:37:48.340 --> 00:37:49.080
 We praise you.

00:37:50.160 --> 00:37:51.120
 It's your name we pray.

00:37:52.060 --> 00:37:52.360
 Amen.

00:37:59.680 --> 00:38:05.580
 Thanks again for listening

00:38:05.580 --> 00:38:06.720
 to the Willow Ridge Church

00:38:06.720 --> 00:38:07.700
 weekly podcast.

00:38:08.040 --> 00:38:09.020
 We hope that you enjoyed

00:38:09.020 --> 00:38:10.320
 listening to this week's message.

00:38:10.820 --> 00:38:11.880
 If you'd like to learn more

00:38:11.880 --> 00:38:12.720
 about who we are
