This week on The Debbie Matthews' Show I have a very special guest... with one of the nicest, most decent young men I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Kyle Rittenhouse is joining me for an hour-long conversation about the infamous night during the 2020 summer of riots. After we all watched Minneapolis burn, another police shooting occurred in a small Wisconsin town, and the riots just rolled from Minneapolis straight on into Kenosha. Rioters hit the streets, burned businesses, and injured folks. A business owner, having lost over a million dollars' worth of inventory on night one, asked folks to come stand guard on his second lot. A young man, named Kyle Rittenhouse, all of 17 years old, came down to help. Having been a police cadet/firefighter cadet and working as a lifeguard helping handicapped kids learn to swim, Kyle was always eager to serve. So, he took off after work, with his medic bag and gun to stand guard. AND that's where the story started. Kyle Rittenhouse became the personification of the strife in the street...the personification of people who love America against people who hate America...of someone who stood up to the people trying to destroy all we hold dear. For the next year, WE all watched to see if justice still mattered, and would the legal system work the way it should. I'm proud of this show and this young man. Come and listen. Sunday night at 9:00 pm on WKOM 101.7 FM or listen anytime to www.frontporchradiotn.com or on Spotify, Apple or anywhere you consume your podcast habit.
