Paul comes back to his meeting in Macedonia with Titus, a subject he diverged from in chapter 2. He is comforted by the excellent response the Corinthians had to the "Severe Letter".
Paul continues his discipleship of the saints in Corinth. Following his first letter, he saw some growth but he also saw a continued deviation from the Word of God. He defends his apostleship and points the Corinthians to Christ for their continued sanctification.
