Every Ohio University student has heard about Room 428. The dorm room in Wilson Hall that the university stopped renting out. The legend says a student died there after experimenting with the occult, and that the room has been active ever since. But how much of that story actually holds up?
In Part 2 of our Haunted Ohio University series, we dig into the Wilson Hall legend. Separating the version everyone repeats from what's actually documented. We look at old resident accounts from the 1970s, the "face" in Room 428's door, the Athens cemetery pentagram theory, and why this story has survived on campus for over 50 years with almost nothing solid behind it.
