If you are trying to get other people to do something, you are probably fighting a losing battle. It’s much better for people to be inspired of their own volition to take an action, and that inspiration happens when you show up authentically. 
What people are looking for from leaders is for someone to show them the right path, where the meaning in what they do is, and where the purpose is. All of this comes naturally from you when you let it shine through. 
Your passion has to be genuine and you need to be steadfast in your conviction to make an impact. Not everyone will follow you and your vision, but those that do will be extremely inspired and follow your lead.
