Kasra Dash: If you're a solar panel company and you want a consistent flow of enquiries that are not shared, this video is for you. We are going to break down all the strategies that work for solar panel companies and the ones you should avoid. I'm joined by James. Take it away. James Dooley: Step number one for growth is a Google Business Profile. If you already have one, you should reach out to your existing clients and get as many five star reviews as possible. A strong profile generates more leads. You should also add citations, create Google Business Profile posts and upload photos. This is always the first step for generating more local leads. Kasra Dash: Step two builds on your Google Business Profile. You should create dedicated service pages for every individual service as SEO optimised pages. When you do that, the SEO pages start ranking and your Google Business Profile is also more likely to rank for those keywords. That indirectly gets you more calls. James Dooley: If you want even more local leads, PPC lead generation is another option. That means pay per click on Google or Bing targeting bottom of funnel keywords. The challenge is you need a good PPC agency because click fraud exists and you need a negative keyword list so you avoid job seekers. PPC can work well, but in the wrong hands you can waste money. It is still a valid way to generate leads. Kasra Dash: You can also run Meta ads on Facebook and Instagram. When someone scrolls Facebook they might see your ad. There are two main setups. Lead forms, which stay on Facebook and never go to your website. The quality can be lower but you can improve it by adding more questions. Then you have conversion ads that send people to your website where they fill out your contact form. You can use both options. James Dooley: Another way to grow local leads is organic social media. Regular posting on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram works. Reddit and Quora are big as well if you can answer questions. Organic content is a good way to increase local visibility. Kasra Dash: Organic social media is a volume game. You need to upload consistently. It might be daily or weekly. You might commit to five videos a week and stick to it. That consistency helps with algorithms like YouTube and Twitter. James Dooley: What are your thoughts on using AI agents with automations like N8N to schedule social media posts? A lot of people are using AI to generate leads. Would you team up with an AI consultant to set that up? Kasra Dash: You can definitely use AI agents to crop videos and auto publish to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. Another thing I would focus on is AI search. More people are slowly moving away from Google and searching on systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Groq. If your brand does not show up there you will struggle to generate leads. Companies need to start thinking about that. James Dooley: If you want more local business, you should also team up with tradespeople websites. There is Checkatrade, Bark, Builder Builder, TrustATrader and Rated People. These platforms can generate leads but you need to track your KPIs. Track cost per lead, cost per acquisition and your return on investment. These platforms can work well. Check the links in the description because we compare Checkatrade with FatRank, Bark with FatRank, Rated People with FatRank and Builder Builder with FatRank. Kasra Dash: When it comes to lead generation companies versus tradespeople platforms, you need to do your due diligence. Make sure the lead generation company has experience in your niche. Have a strategy call with them. Explain your budget and how many leads you want. Check whether the leads are exclusive or shared. Shared leads, which is what platforms like Bark and Checkatrade send, become a race to the bottom on price. That is what a lot of business owners complain about. James Dooley: If anyone wants more local leads, head to FatRank.com. We run a commission based lead generation service. You only pay a finders fee on converted jobs. You pay nothing per lead. You pay nothing until you get paid. Once the job is completed and you are paid, only then do you pay FatRank.com. Go to the site to see whether you qualify. Let’s expand further. What are your thoughts on inbound lead generation versus outbound lead generation? Kasra Dash: I always prefer inbound. The conversion rate is far higher. The last stat I saw was 16.1 percent of inbound leads convert into paying customers. Only 1.4 percent convert when it is outbound. That is a huge difference. James Dooley: It is crazy how much higher inbound converts. Outbound requires huge volume whether that is cold calling, cold email or LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You also need more staff. People think outbound leads are free but you still pay for email sending and for staff to convert them. Inbound is much better. What about real time leads? People often ask if real time leads matter. Kasra Dash: Real time leads matter a lot. Our internal stat showed real time leads convert around 63 percent higher. Responding in under a minute makes a massive difference. We used to think five minutes was good, but under a minute beats everything. James Dooley: Not every company needs to respond in under a minute, but many fail because they go on holiday for five days and no one answers leads while FatRank continues to send them. We consider that when partnering. If you want consistent high quality leads, fill out the form on FatRank. The team will tell you if you are the right fit. If not, they will tell you why and what you should fix. Kasra Dash: We hope you found these strategies useful for generating more solar panel leads. Head to FatRank.com to see if we can help you scale. There are many types of solar leads whether warehouse solar panel systems, commercial solar or domestic household solar. Fill out the form and hopefully we can start generating more solar leads for you.
