विजयस्य मार्गः

कश्चन जनः कञ्चित् गुरुम् उप्सर्प्य विजयप्राप्तिमार्गम् अपृच्छत् । तदा गुरुः बोधयति – ’विजयप्राप्तिमार्गः पार्थक्येन न भवति । स्थिरतया स्थित्वा कष्टपरमपरां सम्मुखीकृत्य यः अग्रे गच्छेत् सः एव विजयं प्राप्नुयात्' इति । एवमेव सम्भाषणम् अनुवर्तते तयोः मध्ये । सन्तोषसन्तृप्तादयः कथं प्राप्येरन् ? सन्तोषस्य जयपराजयोः च किं न कोSपि सम्बन्धः? तेषां सर्वेषां प्रश्नानां समाधानं बोधयति सः गुरुः ।

A man approached a teacher and asked about the path to victory. The teacher explained: “The way to victory is not separate. One who stands firm and faces the greatest difficulties with steadiness alone attains success.” Their dialogue continued: How are satisfaction and contentment attained? Is there any relation between joy, victory, and defeat? The teacher then answered all these questions, giving clarity on the true meaning of victory and contentment.
