The Institute for Person-Centered Care Podcast

Jill Venden grew up in Davenport, Iowa, graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic as a Doctor of Chiropractic in June 1996.  While starting a practice in Davenport, Jill took on a part-time job as an adjunct instructor at a local college.  This is when the education bug bit her, and she remained in higher education for 15 years, ranging from an adjunct instructor, to Program Chair, Academic Director, and finally Assistant Director of Education.

While her career in education ended in the fall of 2017, Jill states she was fortunate to find her current position as a Volunteer Coordinator at Compassus where she is able to utilize her teaching skills, healthcare background, and her passion to help others.

At Compassus, she oversees the volunteer programs in the four Iowa offices: Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, Washington, and Davenport.  Jill is eager to add additional volunteers and grow her team to meet the needs of her organization!

On a personal note, Jill is a grandmother of six, who enjoys gardening, travel, podcasts, and motorcycle trips with her husband Larry.
