Military spouse, caregiver, and CEO of The Independence Fund, Sarah Verardo, joins the show to talk about Operation Resiliency, a program that combines military unit reunions with mental health support in order to address suicide.

Sarah and Mike Verardo have become a national face for severely wounded combat Veterans andtheir Caregivers. They’ve appeared on numeroustelevision programs and news outlets over the past several years to push for Veterans Affairs healthcare reform.

Sarah has dedicated her life to both the care and recovery of her husband, and supporting Caregivers and our wounded heroes nationwide. She is a national spokesperson for Caregivers in the country, serving as an Alumni Fellow with the Elizabeth Dole

Foundation. She also has a significant background in both public relations and fundraising, and is a respected national voice, regularly featured on conservative national programs and talk shows. She continues her service through The Independence Fund as a highly effective advocate for Veterans and Caregivers, working directly with members of the United States House and Senate.
