This week on The Weekly Recharge, we’re diving into some of the biggest e-bike motor news coming out of Eurobike.
Avinox revealed its new Motor Gearbox Concept, a powerful all-in-one mid-drive and internal gear system with up to 1500W of peak power and 150Nm of torque. It also includes regenerative braking, customizable gear profiles, automatic shifting, electronic shifting, anti-theft motor locking, and compatibility with chain or belt drive setups.
Bosch also made major news with the debut of its new Hubline rear hub motor — a big move from a company best known for mid-drive systems. The new motor is designed for lightweight city e-bikes, supports speeds up to 28 MPH, works with Bosch’s Flow app, and is even compatible with throttle levers for the U.S. market.
