Second Corinthians chapter three verses 12 through 18, and please stand with me. It's such a joy to be with you here this morning. These are the super saints. Right? Or at least with four wheel drives.
Right? I I was scared going down the hill this morning. I went real slow and Kathy says, don't worry about that person behind you. You don't worry. So, okay. Alright. Alright. Second Corinthians three twelve through 18.
Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech. And not as Moses, which put a veil upon his face to the children of Israel, could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished.
But their minds were blinded for until this day, remains that same veil, untaken away in the reading of the old testament, which veil is done away in Christ.
But even under this day when Moses has read, the veil is upon their heart. Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
But we all, with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the spirit of the Lord.
Father, we thank you so much for saving us. We thank you so much for saving us from ourselves, Lord.
Our sinful, fallen, selfish nature. And, Lord, this work that you've begun, Lord, you are gonna complete it. You're gonna continue in this process of sanctification, changing us from glory to glory into the image of your dear son.
Lord, being a human being is very, very humiliating. Just how prone we are, Lord. It's in our genes, Lord, how what failures we are at loving. Love is the fulfillment of all the law, Lord. And we love, incrementally. We love at times.
We we get it. We we see changes in our hearts and less selfishness and such. And then and then all of a sudden, Lord, we're just so humbled because our old nature rares up, and, we concede, Lord, oh wretched man that I am.
Who shall deliver me from this body of death? And and Lord, we once again, we, we're just humbled.
We remind ourselves of the cross and your finished work, that Lord, that we're to trust you, and, that you finished the work, and that you're working in us, Lord, by the power of your Holy Spirit, transform and changing us.
And Lord, we wanna yield afresh to you today. We wanna surrender afresh and allow that handiwork, the work of your Holy Spirit, to make those changes within us, Lord.
To give us that capacity to love, to die to self, and Lord to glorify you in these last days. So equip and strengthen us. Teach us, Lord. Open our hearts and minds to your truth this morning.
Let it be transformative. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Would you please be seated? Paul is explaining the superiority of his ministry, in light of the message given to him in contrast to the ministry of Moses.
So Paul shows that the ministry has the power to change lives, whereas Moses' ministry left people looking to the future.
Moses could reveal the holiness of God and the and the sinfulness of man with the law, but he could only promise that one day a deliverer would come.
And, Paul proclaimed the deliverer is Jesus and that he has come, the one who delivers all who believe from the curse of the law. And so, the law could only point to Christ, pointing to the future, but could not change you.
Couldn't change you from within. The gospel message is superior because the righteousness of God is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus offers to change all those who look to him in faith.
So when we look to Jesus, everything changes. Number one, we have a changed hope. Verse 12, seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech. So Paul's saying, this hope that we have, there's such a boldness.
We have a great boldness and confidence, not in something we can do for anybody else or we can even do for ourselves, but a boldness, in this gospel message, this plan of salvation that God's given us.
So Moses has the law, and he can show people their sinful condition, but he can't get inside of them and help them to change. And so externally, they might try to adopt that and be doing, doing, doing, doing.
And then Jesus, upon the cross, he says, it is finished. Done. So I want you guys to quit trying to do it, and I want you to trust. And as you trust me, I will change you from the inside.
So as you continue to walk by faith, yielding to the Holy Spirit, a love relationship of wanting to please God based upon love, not not the letter of the law. The letter of law kills, but the spirit gives life.
And then you watch God begin to transform and change. And there's that initial transformation and change of, Nicodemus, you must be born again. So no longer body and soul, but body, soul, and spirit.
And then the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, as we saw in verse 18, you're looking into this mirror as you're studying God's word today, and we're not bringing you Freud and Roy and all the other kind of stuff.
We're bringing you the word of God. And as you look into the word of God, the word of God is a mirror that shows you Jesus, and you're able to see yourself in relationship to who he is. And you can kinda evaluate your progress.
You can evaluate, hey, well, I was once blind and now I see. You You know, I was once a drunk, and now I'm sober. I was once, you know, womanizer, manizer, you know, divorced two, three times, and now I've got a good marriage.
And, you know, you know, whatever it may be, the lord has reached into your life, and he's given you the capacity to love. He's given you the capacity to say you're sorry.
He's given you the capacity to take wrong, and all those things are Christ like in nature and character. But, not that he would ever say he's wrong, or not that he would ever ask for forgiveness.
He doesn't need that. He's perfect. But he helps us to come to the place where we recognize that he's our righteousness, that Jesus is our righteousness.
And so there's a great boldness in knowing that, you know, I'm confident that he that has begun this good work in me, that he's gonna complete it under the day of Jesus Christ.
When I see just Jesus face to face, this work that he's begun in my life in 1980, when I got saved is gonna be completed.
You know? And I don't know what progress I have, but but, one of the saddest things is when we see an adult who's been a Christian for twenty, thirty years, and there's an arrested state of development.
They're still like a babe in Christ. They're still whiny and selfish, and me, me, my, my, my, whiny and complaining and such.
And it's it's kind of embarrassing, you know, but, those of us that, you know, have that measure of humility, where we're not, complacent and think we've arrived and self righteousness and prideful, that can stagnate our growth because God resists the proud.
He gives grace to the humble. So So as we come to the Lord in humility each and every day and just simply pick up the word and begin to read the word, the word of God is transformative.
The word of God begins to change the way you think. So be not conformed to this world. Don't come into the conformity of the world. You're a new creation in Christ Jesus.
The old things are passed away. All things have become new. So be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
So that starts in your time of prayer, devotion, and in the word in the morning.
And and as you read God's word, like I said, there's this mirror and you're looking down on the mirror of the word. Well, don't forget what manner of person you are when you leave there.
If the Lord shows you who you are in relationship to Jesus and you say, God, I'm undone. I'm undone. Then ask the lord for help. That's what he's waiting for. Just just ask for help. Just through prayer, ask for help.
Don't make vows and promises and, you know, I've already broken my New Year's resolution. Right? I've already gained 10 pounds. So, you know, I tried. I tried to do it, you know, but allow the Lord to do it through you.
Allow the Lord to to give you that, place within your heart to change the desires and the things within your heart, and to give you greater desires for the things of the spirit.
And if you live the life of the spirit, you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. But if you sow to the flesh, you're gonna reap corruption. If you sow to the spirit, you're gonna reap life.
So it's our choice of of how we wanna live now. If we wanna live in the fullness of the holy spirit or if we wanna live, you know, like a shallow, on the fence, distant, you know, walking at a distance from the Lord.
Peter found out walking from a distance winds up, you know, warming yourself with the enemy's fire. You you find yourself denying the Lord at crunch time because you've been following Jesus from afar.
We don't wanna follow Jesus from afar. We wanna get as close to Jesus as we can and stay as close to Jesus as we can and grab hold of his legs like Mary Magdalene did. And you got away from me once, you're not getting away again.
And the beautiful thing is is he's holding on to you. He's got his hands all over you. He's He's got his hands all over you. He's kept you. He's a military garrison. Nobody's gonna get through there.
He's the door. Nobody's gonna get through him to get to that sheepfold and snatch you away from him. If you walk away from him, it's because you decided to walk away from him. And even still, you deny him.
He remains faithful. He can't deny himself. He's gonna come after you because he loves you and discipline you. He's gonna bring you back into the fold. That's the kind of love that he has, whom the lord loves. He chases and scourges.
So we just have this confidence this confidence that, lord, you're gonna complete that work that you've begun in in my children's life. Lord, you're gonna complete that work in in our marriage that you've begun in Kathy and I.
We're we haven't arrived. We don't have a perfect marriage. There's so many things that that need to change, and, Lord, you're transforming and changing us.
And, you know, I always throw out that joke out there, you know, that, you know, Kathy, will you marry me in the millennium, you know, and all?
No. Tell death do us part. You know? And, but it would be it'd be wonderful to have Jesus officiate in marriage and continue to be able to be married to Kathy, but, she's not having it yet.
But I might win her over. You never know. So we are bold to proclaim that our hope is in God and not in ourselves. Not in ourselves.
If I'm living according to the law, then I have to posture myself, compare myself with you, and I've gotta be able to look at that standard of perfection. And I gotta do the best I can and hope and pray that God grades on the curve.
That, you know what, I've done 80% right, and, you know, I'm I'm looking around me, Lord, and these these these these cretins, they're only doing 60%. You know? I'm much better than these guys.
You know? And so you pride yourself on you're better than somebody else. And Jesus said, the man that smote his breast and said, God, be merciful to me, a sinner, the publican, that he went away justified, just as if he'd never sinned.
But the Pharisee prayed thus with himself. His prayers didn't even reach the throne of God because he didn't have access because he's so filled with pride, and, it doesn't work that way.
So the glory of the law has has faded. The glory of his righteousness lasts forever. And so you and I, we're equipped with a gospel message that, has never faded away.
It's never been reinvented. There's no, reason to find a new one. This is what's been given to us. And so Paul says in Romans one sixteen, I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.
Gospel means good news. The good news of his coming kingdom. I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For therein is the rights of God revealed from faith to faith, that as it is written, the just shall live by faith.
So I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
For therein is the rights of God revealed from faith to faith that it is written, the just shall live by faith.
So if you're Martin Luther and you're climbing up the Sistine Chapel as a priest, as a lawyer, and you're trying to make points with God, you realize it, it smites you, the just shall live by faith.
The emphasis in Romans one is the justification, just as if I've never sinned. And, and that's where you and I are, is that in Romans seven, you know, Paul's gonna say things I do wanna do, I don't do. Things I don't wanna do, I do.
And so this, this carnality, this fallen nature and such, this battle that goes on within, and, oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death? And then you get in Romans eight, it's a work of the Holy Spirit.
It's the spirit, spirit, spirit, spirit. The Holy Spirit transform and changing you changing me from within. In second Timothy one verse seven, God has not given us the spirit of fear, Timothy, but of power, of love, and a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our lord. So don't take your light and hide it under a bushel.
Don't be afraid of their faces, Timothy, as a young pastor and all. He could get in a lot of trouble in the city of Ephesus or Corinth, you know, just simply speaking up about Jesus, nor of me his prisoner, nor of me his prisoner.
Who's prisoner? Nero's prisoner? No. Jesus prisoner in Nero's prison. But Paul saw himself as in God's will, in Nero's prison.
And I'm not ashamed of the gospel, so I'm not gonna hide it. I'm gonna proclaim the gospel to Caesar's household. I'm gonna proclaim the gospel to these soldiers that are chained to me and such.
Everyone around me is gonna hear the glorious good news. They're gonna hear also my testimony that I was the chiefest of sinners, that I was a blasphemer, that I was headed to Damascus to grab hold of more, you know, Christians and all.
And so don't be therefore ashamed of the testimony of our lord nor of me as prisoner, but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel.
You ever heard the gospel sold that way? You ever heard the gospel presented in our community, in our age? Be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel. Jesus saying, come suffer with me.
Take your cross up and follow me. Oh no no no. No. That isn't what I signed up for. I want my best life now. Well, Timothy, the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God, you can't do it by yourself, Timothy.
You need the power of God. You need courage. You need boldness. You know, you, you have a tendency to be timid, to be afraid, but God's gonna help you get over that, Timothy, that inner fear. Be bold.
Be unashamed. Verse 13. And not as Moses which put a veil over his face. So Moses must have been afraid. What was Moses afraid of? He went up to get the Decalogue. He went up to the Mount Mount, Seir to get to get, the 10 commandments.
And he came down, and Joshua heard them playing, and he broke them, went back up and got, you know, a duplicate, the finger of God writing the Decalogue upon the tablets of stone, and, his face shone bright, very bright.
He's afraid that the the glory would fade away.
So he covered his face so people couldn't see that it was transitory, that it was temporary. So not as Moses which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished.
So, symbolically there, the fading glory of the law. Now heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will not pass away. The Old Testament law is holy. Old Testament law is good.
The problem is it can't save you and I. The problem is the word of God, if there could have been a law that give us salvation, God would have given us a law. The problem is not the law. The problem is you and me.
We don't have the frame. We don't have the ability to keep the law. So if you wanna get there by being good, then you're gonna from the from the womb to the tomb, you're gonna have to live a life of perfection like Jesus did.
And you can't do that. You were shaped in iniquity, and sin did your mother conceive you.
You have an old, ademic, fallen nature. And, some people try to prescribe that, you know, the children are basically good. There's an age of innocence. Well, know what? Just try and take their binky away from them.
Try and take try and not give them the milk and see what happens. If they were strong enough, they'd grab hold of that crib and beat you over the head with it, you know? They're screaming in a rage, you know?
It's it's within. And that's what God is, wanting to change within us, is that trust and that contentment and reliance upon him that we don't, you know, rage a holics, you know, and stuff like that.
And so the children, we recognize that. We do appreciate, the innocence of of, of our children, before the world corrupts them and such. But, so Paul correlates the fading glory of Moses' face with the fading glory of the law.
So the law was obscure. The ministry of Moses spoke in types, it spoke in offerings, which were, you know, symbolic of Jesus, in days and in washings, and pointing to Christ.
But not in the fullness of the revelation found in the New Testament, the new being a continuation of fuller revelation.
And so the New Testament is a continuation of the Old, a fuller revelation. So example would be when you're partaking of Passover, in the Old Testament, and you're a Jew, and you're you know what you gotta do.
You gotta, you know, kill this lamb and all, and you gotta take the blood, and you gotta all the different that Moses laid out.
But to not know that that lamb is symbolic of Jesus, as John the Baptist knew, behold the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
The various feasts that represent him, feast of trumpets and and, first fruits. Jesus the first fruits of the resurrection.
So all through the volume of the book is written of Jesus. And if you if you understand in Hosea chapter 12 verse 10 that the Lord spoke through prophets in times past, men that are speaking, he also spoke through similitudes.
Similitudes are figures and types. So one of the best ones I always remind you of is in Genesis 22, where God the father, Abraham, took his son, his only begotten son, not Ishmael, but Isaac.
In Isaac shall thy seed be called, and take him to a mountain that I'm gonna show you.
That mountain happened to be Mount Moriah, which is Calvary, which is Golgotha. Take your son and offer him there as a burnt offering. And then the son is a type of Jesus Christ. The father Abraham, a type of God the father.
And then, the the servant is a type of the Holy Spirit. And so, the son, Isaac, probably about 17 years old, in complete submission unto his father, Jesus said, I do always those things that please the father.
Father, we have the wood. Father, we have the knife, you know, but where is the lamb?
And Jehovah Jireh, God will provide himself a lamb for the sacrifice. So we see Abraham in total and complete obedience, knowing that Ishmael is not the seed of promise, that Isaac is the seed of promise.
Hebrews 11 tells us that Abraham, you know, he lift the knife up knowing that, if this comes down and we execute this son as god's instructing me, god has a problem.
God's gonna have to raise him from the dead because there is no plan b. There is no alternate route.
So that picture there, the similitude, is a picture of God the Father offering his son, his only begotten son, Jesus, upon the cross of Calvary, and, his his, wrath being poured out upon his only begotten son, that he that knew no sin would become sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
And so Jesus told the religious leaders in John eight, Abraham rejoiced to see my day, and he saw it and was glad. So Abraham, his faith was looking future that one day God would provide his son on the cross of Calvary.
So in Ephesians four, he that ascended first descended lower parts of the earth. And then in Luke 16, Abraham's bosom, or the thief on the cross of paradise.
And so Jesus emptied that compartment out because all those old testament patriarchs, salvation was a free gift, but a free gift in that they were looking future for Jesus to go to that cross.
So their faith was imputed to them for righteousness, whereas you and I have a fuller revelation in that Jesus is that lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
He's the only begotten son of God. And, and so the gospel is before preached unto Abraham.
And so all through the Old Testament, whether it's, you know, living water coming out, smite the rock, a picture of the cross, Jesus being smitten, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.
He that believes in me, as the scripture said, out of his belly shall flow torrents of living water. Moses, speak to the rock. You know? If we confess our sin, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sin, to cleanse us of all.
And he says, no, Mo. Don't hit it a second time. Nope. You're ruining the type. He's smitten once. This isn't a Catholic mass where he's been crucified afresh every single time. He's smitten once, once for all.
No kaphar, no covering of sin anymore, taking away the sin. So you have a greater revelation, a greater understanding in the in the New Testament as you tie in the old. Now, I love that we study the Old Testament every week.
I love studying the Old and the New. We get the full, you know, impact. I love that we study the book of Revelation, the apocalypse, the unveiling of Jesus Christ. If I wanna know Jesus, I wanna know everything that's written about him.
I don't wanna pick and choose in things that, you know, make people happy because they think there's no tribulation period, and they're not gonna have to suffer, and they're not gonna, you know, whatever.
You know? I I want people to understand that in this world, you will have tribulation. It's not the tribulation, the time of Jacob's trouble, but, we in America, we could see a stock market crash this week.
Right? The big boys, the Black Rocks and all them are putting in put bets guaranteeing or betting on the fact that the stock market's gonna take a a crash this week.
If that happens, then Mexico and Canada and everybody's glad because then we're gonna suffer a little bit too because our president's causing tariffs to get out there, you know, and all.
But, this new, economic system that the bankers are wanting to roll out, it's gonna affect the whole world. It's gonna be an economic implosion of the whole world, and we're gonna feel it. That's not the tribulation period.
That's just simply, part of the the tribulation, the pressure, the birth pangs of the beast system emerging, where things have to get bad before they supposedly, get better for those who are saying peace and safety, unknowing to them that sudden destruction's coming, you know, as in a as in a moment.
So these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise.
God having provided some better thing for us, that they, without us, should not be made perfect. So Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, all had to wait, and we don't have to wait. We have Jesus now. He ever lives to make intercession.
He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. So we're looking back upon his birth, his death, his burial, his resurrection, his ascension, and his promise of coming again. And we've had over 300 prophecies fulfilled in his first coming.
Peter said, we were eyewitnesses of him, we handled him, we touched him and all, but we have the more sure word of prophecy, as he's describing prophetically the prophecies that are taking place, you know, for you and I presently in this in this end of the age, the last days.
So we have a greater, greater, greater revelation than those in the Old Testament. Knowledge brings responsibility. To much is given, much is required.
In Luke 12, those that knew to do well, that didn't do well, they were beaten with many stripes. Those that didn't know very much, you know, everybody's worried about the guy in the bush somewhere that didn't know.
Well, they're without excuse because of God's revelation through creation. We have God's revelation through creation. We have God's revelation through the Old Testament, the New Testament. We have God's revelation prophetically.
His time clock Israel back in the land. We should be well aware. And looking up knowing that our redemption draws nigh, we are without excuse. And so I love studying the bible with you and, this changed hope.
All of the men of faith, old and new, have a changed hope. Hope in Jesus, not in themselves. In Romans 10 verse four, Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.
So the law did its job. Moses, drove us to Christ. And so in Galatians, it speaks of the law being a tutor, a pedagogue. So it happened when you're a child, you've got a pedagogue, a tutor over you, driving you toward adulthood.
But as you as you come to an understanding in adulthood, you no longer have the tutor. So the law is a tutor to present you to Christ. So you'd be backed into a corner where you're, you have no way out basically except Christ.
And that's the intention of the law, to stop every mouth, to make every person guilty. For you and I, in our own admission, I'm undone. I'm a sinner.
I can't do this. God be merciful to me a sinner. And when we pray that prayer from our heart, we cry out to God, then he comes into our heart and life, not external, internal, comes into our heart and life, he transforms and changes us.
We become born again. Now many people, they get christened, they get sprinkled, they get baptized, they grow up in the church, they become members of church, but they're never born again.
Nicodemus was a religious leader, but he wasn't born again. And so Jesus said to him, you must be born again. For a lot of people, they don't understand that concept.
They don't understand that because of our fallen nature, because Adam and Eve, our first federal head, because they fell, we grow up, we come out of our mom's womb with a fallen nature.
We're body and soul. We need to be born again, body, soul, and spirit.
And being born again is being born from above, born of the spirit. Now, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within. Jesus said he would send the comforter, the Holy Spirit, after his crucifixion.
So we have the alongside the Holy Spirit coming alongside to convict of sin when we're an unbeliever, showing us the cross, showing us God's love, showing us God's standard, his righteous, person as he is.
And then we have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling within us. So within and upon the apea experience coming upon us for service.
Jesus said you'll receive power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you, and you're gonna be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Bremerton, to the uttermost parts of the earth.
And you can only do it in the power of the Holy Spirit. And he didn't say to go out there and make converts, because you can't make a convert, not even one. He told you to go out there and be his witnesses, to be go and make disciples.
So you preach the gospel to the unbeliever, the ball's in their court. If they come to faith, then you disciple them. What's a disciple? A learner. So church should be a place of instruction.
You should be instructed in the word of God every time you come here. If you bring an unbeliever here, hopefully, we have enough milk that we're giving out rather than the meat and the veggies that they're gonna hear the gospel.
And they'll come to Christ, and we'll all rejoice, and they'll be rejoicing in heaven among the angels when just one sinner repents. And we're gonna be so stoked as, we have a birthing room once again. We have some new babes in Christ.
They're so fun. They remind us of the joy and the zeal and the blessing when we first got saved. And, we don't ever wanna lose that zeal, do we? We wanna continue to grow and get more and more excited about the soon return of Christ.
If we're not excited about prophecy, if we're not excited about the rapture, if we're not excited about the soon return of Christ, then what are we doing?
Are you are you camping out here? Do you want everything to go back to normal so that you can have your best life now again? Do you want Trump to fix it all and make it all, you know, so Jesus can delay his coming?
Jesus, don't come back yet. Don't come back just yet, you know. I got some more things I wanna do. Well, I'm ready to go. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to go.
And I'm ready to see my grandkids, you know, go immediately and get our new glorified bodies and everything be transformed and changed. Now blindness in part has happened unto Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles become in.
What's that mean? We're in the church age. And in that church age, the gospel is going out to, Jew, gentile, barbarian, Scythian, bond, free, male, female, going out to whosoever will.
And we don't know where that last gentile person is in the church age where it closes up the church age with the rapture of the church.
We don't know. So we continue to be obedient, to occupy till he comes, up on tiptoes, looking up, knowing our redemption draws nigh, being students of God's word.
And, and that's why I love studying the word of God with you, because it's it's it's exciting every single week to, talk about what we're learning as we're students of prophecy, and we continue to see the, like for instance, the artificial intelligence that's coming.
We see the different types of technology that's coming. The fourth industrial revolution, Klaus Schwab says, you know, the economic system, the religious system, the banking system, the the governmental system that's coming.
All these different things are coming at such a breakneck breakneck speed. It's happening so rapidly, these birth pangs.
And I'm very, very excited, to be living in these last days with you, as students of of God's word, and knowing that the ultimate aspect of this change is gonna take place when I see Jesus face to face.
That's when it's gonna be consummated and finished.
So when we look to Jesus, everything changes. Number one, a changed hope. We're hoping in Jesus now, not in ourselves, and we're looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and savior, Jesus Christ.
Secondly, a changed heart. Has your heart been changed? How do you change somebody's heart? We might try to reform a person.
We might try to send them into prison and teach them and, you know, give them meds, shock treatment. There may a lot of different ways that we as human beings try to change behavior. How do you change behavior?
How do you change somebody's heart? Very difficult to do that. They've got to want to. And for you and I, it's the Lord that's changing our heart. We couldn't we couldn't consistently act the way we know we're supposed to act.
We crash and burn. And we might get, certain weeks, months of sobriety and do okay, but, my mom had twenty years of sobriety, but it didn't necessarily change her heart.
Cancer came along and, you know, broke her. It it it it, surrendered her. She finally surrendered, with cancer, but, and, came back to her faith at that point.
But most of her life was spent, doing everything her way. And there was such a fight. There was such a tension and a fight that she had, between her and God.
And she wasn't like rebellious, you know, in his face type of thing, but just, didn't have that peace, didn't have that trust, didn't have that where you can rest in the Lord, that faith, that that walk in relationship of faith.
And so, what can change your heart that you can actually come to a place where you trust a man? And that man's name is Jesus. Can you trust Jesus? Has God changed your heart where you can trust him?
He says, verse 14, but their minds were blinded. That word blinded means hardened or calloused. So the Jews, their minds were hardened like Pharaoh. When Moses would tell them, let my people go.
God said, let my people go. And Pharaoh would say, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. And when you look at that, what was happening there, there was a, digression of callus, the callus on your hands.
His heart was a layer of skin, layer of skin, layer of skin. So it was getting easier and easier to say no, violating his conscience, violating the word of God.
So his heart became harder and harder and harder. So too with the Jews as they reject Jesus in his first coming and are crying out, crucify him, crucify him, rather than Hosanna, Hosanna, save now.
Their hearts are getting hard. And blindness in part, Romans eleven twenty five, blindness in part has happened unto Israel, meaning their eyes are closed to the truth.
They think they know. They think they know even as a nation that's been regathered that they're gonna rebuild the temple. God didn't ask them to rebuild the temple, but they're gonna rebuild it.
They're gonna re inaugurate Judaism, which is dead. Don't need Judaism with Jesus around. Right? You have Jesus. You you have you have the New Testament in a relationship with Jesus.
But if you reject the New Testament and you reject Jesus, now you're operating on your the premise of of religiousness, and your Jewishness, and you're you're operating, in the old letter of the law, and the ashes of the red heifer, and all the types of sacrifices and such, and you're setting yourself up for for a huge deception when the Antichrist goes into that temple, declares himself to be God, and demands to be worshiped as God.
And, setting yourself up there, the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel, the prophet, all because of your disobedience unto God.
So God has regathered them in unbelief, but in Jeremiah 31, he has an unconditional covenant where he's going to change them from the inside. Who's them? The one third remnant that's gonna be preserved at Petra.
Two thirds are gonna die according to Zechariah thirteen eight and nine. But a one third remnant's gonna go through the fire of purifying the time of Jacob's trouble. We are not replacement theology people.
We believe Israel is in the land, according to Ezekiel thirty six and thirty seven, as prophesied by God that they would be in the land once again, regathered from all over the world, unprecedented in history, and that they will, in fact, one day be born again as a nation, individually and as a nation, and they will be ruling and reigning with Jesus as king of kings and lord of lords in the land, all of geographical areas that has been promised to them.
And so we caution president Trump and everybody else that's trying to make a two state solution. We caution you that that's not God's design, that's not his desire, and you're gonna suffer for that if you push that too far.
And, ultimately, the times of the gentiles are going to end, and Jesus is gonna return, and he's gonna make his victory triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and he's gonna set up his kingdom there, and David's gonna rule as a prince, and the nation of Israel is gonna be dominant over the gentile nations that repopulate the planet during the millennium in Revelation chapter 20.
And And you and I are gonna be ruling and reigning in that government with Jesus as kings and priests in our new glorified bodies.
It's gonna be glorious, but the nation of Israel will, in fact, enter into all the promises that God has given them one day. But presently, their hearts are hard, their eyes are blinded. They don't see it at this point nationally.
For until this day remains the same veil taken untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament, which veil is done away in Christ. So why is their mind or heart blinded? Why is their mind or heart blinded to the truth?
Because they leave Jesus out. Jesus is the key that unlocks everything for them. But to reject Jesus, they're just going through the motions, aren't they? But you factor Jesus back into the equation, their eyes are open.
They're gonna recognize that they crucified their messiah. They're gonna mourn. They're gonna confess and mourn that they crucified him, that they pierced him during the tribulation period.
Then they're gonna cry out, Jesus said, you're not gonna see me again till you say, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.
Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. They're gonna call upon him. And Jesus said, except those days be shortened, the days of the tribulation period, then no flesh would be saved. The whole world would be wiped out.
But for the elect's sake, the nation of Israel, the woman of Revelation 12, for their sake, when they cry out as the Antichrist and his armies are converging on the area of ancient Moab, on the area of present day Southern Jordan, the area of Petra, Basra, Mount Seir, it's when they cry out and the Lord Jesus intervenes and destroys the Antichrist, his armies, and the false prophet.
And there's blood as high as the horse's bridle. There's a battlefield of 200 miles square, and Jesus comes across there in Isaiah 63.
He's trampling out the vintage, blood's all over him. And he's the only one that, with the sword of his mouth and the brightness of his coming, that subdues all the enemies of the Lord, all the enemies of Israel.
And he enters into Jerusalem, and he sets up there's a seventy five day interval.
And there's a judgment in Matthew 25 where he separates the sheep from the goats. The sheep are those who are favorable toward Israel. The goats are those who are unfavorable.
Gentile nations unfavorable toward Israel. And so those gentile believing nations, the gentile nations will be able to enter into the millennium in their human bodies, and the, goats are gonna be, condemned.
And in that seventy five day interval, he's gonna restore the earth to a certain condition of identic conditions.
The curse is gonna be reversed in in Isaiah chapter 11, where the wolf and, the lamb and the lion and the child all walking together and and hanging out over an adder's den, a snake's den, a poisonous snake and all.
And so you're gonna see, the earth put back to the condition that Adam and Eve, enjoyed it in. And, and then from there, Jesus is gonna rule and reign for a thousand years.
There are gonna be generations of gentiles that repopulate the planet. At the end of the thousand years, Satan, who's been bound, who's been held, according to Revelation 20, in the abyss for, you know, a thousand years.
He's loosed at the end of the of the millennium to tempt and to show the free will of man.
Men in a perfect environment. Jesus ruling and reigning with a rod of righteousness, all the external that's needed in a society, but the heart is unchanged.
And because the heart is unchanged, they rebel against Jesus and they're consumed with fire at that point. And then we move into Revelation twenty one and twenty two, into the eternal state, a new heaven, a new earth, a new Jerusalem.
And, in the ages to come, he's gonna continue to pour out his kindness concerning you and I, the objects of his love. So this this new heart is just the beginning. Just the beginning.
So many changes and things gonna take place, and the key is Jesus. Search the scriptures, Jesus said in John five thirty nine. Search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life, and they are they which testify of me.
Jesus is able to say, the volume of the book is written of me. From Genesis to Revelation, always factor Jesus in in what you're studying. Always factor him into the equation.
Everything you're reading, the volume of the book is written of him. And Chuck Missler and some of them would say, even the gaps, the spaces, and the jots, the tittles, even those, you know, speak of Jesus.
And, so fascinating to be a student of God's word. And, in Luke twelve twenty four twenty five, Jesus, oh fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.
Are not Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory? Luke twenty four twenty five, the remember the guys on the road to, Emmaus? And Jesus walking along, they don't recognize him.
And he begins to go through the scripture for them, and their hearts burned within him as he's going through the scriptures. And as he's going through the scriptures, why are you so slow of heart to believe?
Isn't it say doesn't it say here in Matthew 22, my God, my God, why has thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from my roaring? You know, I'm a worm and no man.
Written a thousand years before Jesus actually was crucified. Or seven hundred years before he's crucified in Isaiah 53, you know, that he's a, that his face was so marred more than any man, more than the sons of man.
He was beaten beyond the recognition of a man. And, by his stripes we are healed. God laid on him the iniquities of us all. All we like sheep have gone astray, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquities of us all.
So if you're reading that today as a Jew, an unbelieving Jew, they correlate, they read that and interpret it as, oh, that's a message to the nation of Israel, the suffering the nation of Israel has gone through.
No, no, no, no, no. This is a picture, prophetic picture of what Jesus would go through in his love for you, personally what he would go through. And, his his beard was pulled off, you know.
His face was beaten, you know, beyond the recognition of a man. And, the cat of nine tails upon his back, deep rose, deep furrows, you know, upon his back is what he suffered there before Pilate.
So ought not Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory? And begin at Moses and the prophets, he expounded expository preaching, expositional.
He expounded unto them all the scriptures, the things concerning himself. Man, what a Bible study. I wish I would have got in on that one, you know? Love to connect the dots and see how things connect, and point to Jesus.
Verse 15, but even unto this day when Moses has read, the veil is upon their heart. Why? Because there's still an unbelief. They still can't understand Isaiah 53. They can't understand Psalm 22.
They can't understand, you know, Genesis 22 with Abraham taking his son Isaac up to the mouth. They don't see the cross. They partake of passover. They don't see Jesus as the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
They can't see it. It doesn't register. They can memorize the entire bible, but still not know the author of the bible. Not know him intimately. Not have a relationship with him. The volume of the book is written of me.
Verse 16, Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. So when the nation or a person, a Jew or Gentile, anybody, when they turn to the Lord, that veil that's blinding them will be removed.
That callousness of their heart will be removed. That veil that's covering their heart will be removed. And they'll be able to have the eyes of faith that are given unto them.
When they turn their hearts to Jesus, everything will make sense. The veil is taken away. The scales from your eyes removed. Light will shine. He offers eternal life.
My dad loves to say that that, he and I both got saved about the same time at Calvary Costa Mesa. And he was raised as a Catholic boy in Minnesota. And they would take him out on the street, and they'd show him church row.
And the priest or whoever it was that was discipling him as a young boy would say, see all these other churches? They're all going to hell. Only you guys are going to heaven.
That began to bother my dad as he got older. Really bothered him. And then later on, he walked away from the Catholic church, and and pretty soon his wife walked away from him and his marriage after twelve years.
And he was a broken man. Very, very broken. And and then the Lord ministered to him and ministered to me and shared the gospel with us, and we got saved.
Brought him over to Calvary Costa Mesa, and we began to sit in bible studies. And my dad said, you know, the light bulb went on.
It all made sense. And he said, if I'd have known back then, Rick, when I was married to your ma, what I know now sure would have been different. You know? You do the best you can externally.
You live a godliest life as you can. You work as hard as you can, three jobs if necessary. But the devil's out there to destroy marriages, and destroy homes, and to destroy you. We need help. We need the help of Jesus.
We need the help of his Holy Spirit. We need help in our wives' hearts. We need help in the husbands' hearts, the kids. It's tough raising kids. I tell Wayne and Britney all the time, you're doing great. Seven kids, you're doing great.
She's got the shirt that she wears, she used to wear, she goes, just an average mom trying not to raise communists. You know, and that catches people's attention. You know? Just a normal average mom trying not to raise communists.
And, you know, think of their job. Think how difficult that is today to raise that many kids. It's unbelievable. But also think, if they do their job right, they focus on those seven, seven kids in heaven.
Ain't that amazing? If we looked at our marriage as a means of filling up heaven and it was our responsibility, not the public school, imagine that, that god left these kids to us.
And we can put them in public school, but man, we better make sure that we reprogram them when they get home.
Right? Better download every influence, everything they have, and make sure that the word of God overwhelms them in the sense of the influence that that can come.
Now when my dad and others were in the public schools in the fifties, the schools in the fifties, among the unbelievers, were more moral.
The people of the fifties were more moral than people in the church today. They knew right and wrong. They had the 10 commandments on the wall. So if anybody wanted to go commit adultery, everybody knew it wasn't adultery.
It wasn't having an affair. It wasn't funny like in the sixties. In the fifties, it was it was serious to go be a thief or whatever it was, you know, because they learned the 10 commandments.
They didn't have Sharia law there. They had their Judeo Christian ethic that our whole society was built upon as the foundation of this culture. And it was a guide, a tutor, a pedagogue driving people to Christ.
This is this is God's standard in the Old Testament. This is what he's saying in the New. You gotta come to Christ. So some externally, religiously, others discovering what it means to be born again.
And you and I have that glorious message of what it means to be born again and to share the glorious gospel. He offers eternal life. And so when you turn your heart to Jesus, everything makes sense.
The veil is taken away. The scales fall from your eyes. The light shines. Man, this is what I've been looking for. This is what I've been thirsty for. As the deer pants after the water brook, so pants my soul after thee, oh god.
Everything I was looking to fill and to satisfy that void that he made in Romans eight verse 20, all creation is subject unto a vanity and emptiness, and that by reason of him who subjected the same in hope.
God, the engineer, the creator, engineered you with a God shaped hole in your heart.
And you live your life trying to fill that void, that emptiness, to experience God's love and to experience contentment and joy and fulfillment and all.
And nothing satisfies, does it, until you come to Jesus. When you come to Jesus, he more than he's more than enough. If all you have is Jesus, you got more than enough.
Right? Without Jesus, you got nothing. You got absolutely nothing. What's it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what would a man give in exchange for his life?
Where's your value system? Is it eternal? Or is it temporary? Verse 17, now the Lord is that spirit. And where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. God wants to change you from the inside. He offers a new heart.
He offers liberty. He offers freedom. Why would Americans give up their freedom for security when they get neither? Why not stay free? Why not continue to drive an eight cylinder car where you can get gasoline wherever you want.
Right? Drive as far as you want, the range or whatever. I mean, at least far enough to take a trip. Why be reduced to an electric vehicle that they can shut off at any moment?
Why why live in a fifteen minute city, which they're trying to call a smart city, and Trump calls it a freedom city. Why would you wanna do that? Why would you wanna live there where you can only walk outside for fifteen minutes?
And if you don't, you gotta you've you've hit your Elon Musk credit score. You're gonna be like the Chinese. You're not gonna be able to have any privileges.
You're not gonna be able to eat meat. You're gonna have to eat Bill Gates bugs, and you're gonna have to have the mRNA vaxx. They wanna they wanna digitalize everything concerning you and I. Why would you give up your freedom?
Why why why do you listen? Why do we listen to the crisis reaction and fall for the solution? Could it be they're gonna use AI for the towers to guide in the airplanes and and all the different helicopters and everything?
Maybe one or two people there with the artificial intelligence that could kinda, you know, run the towers and all the different, airports and all around the globe.
They're creating the problem right now. All this crashing that's going on. What's the solution? Elon's got the solution. We can have the air traffic controllers do AI do a much better job.
They'll get them all in. The planes, the trains, everything can be automated. Everything can be run by AI. The cities can all be run by AI. Well, that's the demonic beast system. You wanna give up your freedom for that?
And yet people, as long as they're given a universal basic income, don't have to work anymore, promised with the carrot, all these different advantages and such, they'll give up their freedom, then they'll find out as Catherine Austin Fitts says, it's a concentration camp without walls.
Now you're stuck in there. But where the spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. There's freedom. You shall know the truth. The truth shall make you free. If the son therefore shall make you free, you're gonna be free indeed.
I love my freedom. I love my freedom that I don't have to be an alcoholic. I love my freedom that I can have all the drugs I want. I just don't want any. They're legal. Smoke all the pot I want. Set aside the bong.
Pick it back up with you if we want. I just don't want any. You got the freedom. There may be a time in your life where you're told not, don't do that. No. It's legal. Go to your pot shops all over Kitsap County. Get this hybrid stuff.
Gummies, all of it. All the alcohol, all the drugs, all the pharmaceutical drugs, it's all it's all legal. And then the tribulation period, sorcery, pharmakeia. People addicted to the pharmakeia, deceived by the pharmakeia.
The sorcery which the occult mixed with the drugs and such. You know, the shrooms, the mushrooms, get more and more hybrid mushrooms for people. LSD type drugs and such for people to escape reality.
I don't wanna give up my freedom. I wanna bring reality to Jesus and ask Jesus to help me to cope and to get through it. I don't wanna live in denial and try and escape reality. Greater is he that's in me than he that's in the world.
I don't wanna be a slave to the devil. I don't wanna give that that place of lordship in my life over to the devil. Jesus is Lord. So when we look to Jesus, everything changes. A changed hope. Did you have hope?
Is teaching prophecy gloom and doom? Did you hope in yourself before, like my dad did? Religious person hoping in himself, hoping that he could do it, that he could be good enough, and finding out will never be good enough.
I've got a new hope. Jesus. I put my hope in Jesus. And he gives me a new heart, a changed heart. I couldn't change my heart. I was master. I was doing pretty good at the hour.
Jesus said, except your righteousness exceeds that as described in the Pharisees, you'll know wise enter the kingdom of God. And the disciples said, who then can be saved? Those guys are experts at it.
But Jesus said, no. Really, if you could see behind the veil, they're hypocrites. They're full of white men. You know, they wash the outside with white sepulcher, but inward, they're full of corrupt dead men's bones.
They're very corrupt. They're addicted to pornography. They're addicted to adultery. They catch a woman in the very act and they bring him to me in acts you know, in John chapter eight, but they don't bring the man.
And from the eldest to the youngest, they wind up leaving there trying to use the letter of the law to kill this poor woman.
Were thine accusers nowhere, Lord, neither do I condemn thee because the son of man didn't come to condemn the world, but the world through him might be saved.
So I've come to change your heart. Woman at the well, you would drink that water, you're gonna thirst again.
I've got water, you'll never thirst again. I'll change your heart. The demoniacs who are killing themselves and cutting themselves and screaming and chains and such. You know?
We know who you are, Jesus. Have you come to torment us before our time? The demons know who Jesus is. They recognize Jesus. You say you believe in God, you do well. The demons also believe and tremble. What kind of faith do you have?
What kind of belief do you have? An acknowledgment that he once lived, an acknowledgment that he claimed to be a prophet? Do you see him, know him as God? Do you know Jesus? Jesus said to many of them in Matthew seven, away from me.
I never knew you, you that practice iniquity. Has God changed your heart? Has he put the Holy Spirit within your heart where you know that you know that you know that you're a new creation in Christ Jesus? I'm not that man I was before.
God invaded. God arrested me. God apprehended me. He stopped me in my tracks. And he revealed himself unto me. And his love was so great, I couldn't resist. I surrendered to his love, not to the law, but to his love.
He saw me in my abject poverty. He saw me in my in my filth and in my vomit and my inability to change my heart, to change my life, and he changed me. And thirdly, a changed holiness.
Verse 18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord. That word changed is a Greek word metamorpho.
Metamorphosis, a worm to a butterfly. A metamorphoo, which means a transformation. There's a transformation that's taking place. So the globalist, the devil, the occultist, they love to use terms.
They love to use words that the bible uses, that Jesus uses, and and teaching that that the bible teaches. And so the lie within the garden to Adam and Eve was that you can eat of the tree of knowledge and good and evil, you won't die.
God told them the day you eat of it, you shall surely die. Well, they partook, as you know. Eve sinned, Adam transgressed, stepped over, and they didn't die physically at that point, but they died spiritually.
Death is separation from God. So they're separated from God. They're in their sins. They're in their nakedness. And they try to cover that sin, cover that nakedness by fashioning a religious effort of sowing fig leaves together.
And they hear the cry of a heartbroken father, Adam, Adam, where are you bro? Where are you? What happened to our fellowship? What happened to the time that we spend walking in the cool of the garden, you know?
Enoch walked with God and was not later on. God enjoys you and I walking with him. Are you enjoying your walk in relationship with the Lord? Taking a walk with him?
God enjoys it. He so enjoyed it with Adam and Eve, but now there's a gulf. Now they're separated. And the fig leaves can't restore their relationship because God's a holy and a just God, and these guys have sinned.
They've fallen short of the mark. The wage of sin is death. The gift of God's eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
They deserve death. But the Lord gives them hope. He says in Revelation three fifteen that the seed of the woman, the virgin born son of God, the offspring of you, Eve and Adam.
There's an offspring coming forth from you that he will be born of a virgin. Fully man, fully God. And his heel's gonna be bruised at the cross of Calvary, but he's gonna cross the serpent's head.
And we see the lineage of Jesus in Matthew and in Luke three, that he comes through the lineage of Adam, the legal royal line through Solomon and then through Mary in Luke chapter three, the, narrowed down through Nathan, so the actual the actual lineage.
So he's not an angel, Hebrews one says. He's born as a man. He's the last Adam. And as the last Adam, he lived a perfect life. He was tempted in all points like we and yet without sin. So we have a Superman.
We have a super, super federal head, Jesus. But the devil's a usurper. The devil, the little g god of this world, the prince of the power of the air, he took the demise of Adam and he usurped lordship over the planet in that way.
And so we as human beings, we suffer what's called the fall, the fall of man. A fallen world that we live in.
It won't be made right until the Lord Jesus comes. But he wants to transform and change us even now. He wants to start that transformation, that change that Adam and Eve went through, that change, that separation.
So when you look into the eyes of Jesus through his word, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you will see him in the mirror of his word.
So as you read the word, the Lord's revealing himself to you and it's like looking into a glass, but it's a glass darkly.
Not real clear. You don't get the great image at this point. But there's some of an image, and you're able to see Jesus, and he's revealing himself to you. That's why we say with new believers, read the gospel of John.
The gospel of John is is John bearing witness of the deity of Christ. So get to know Jesus as the god man, fully fully man, fully god, that he's perfect, and get to know him, and and God will reveal himself to you as you read his word.
He's gonna transform and change you the way you think, change you from glory to glory in the image of his son. You're not gonna be the same person you once were.
But if you don't read, if you don't get into the word, if you don't hear God's word, then there's not gonna be that transformation of your mind. You're gonna still think like a worldly person.
As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. So as you as the influencers of the Holy Spirit come to influence your heart and mind, you begin to think differently. And you have the word of God, but you also have the Holy Spirit.
You have your conscience helping lead and guide you into making decisions that are conducive with a relationship with the Lord. You don't wanna do anything that hinders your walking relationship with the Lord.
You don't wanna do anything that quenches the Holy Spirit, that grieves the Holy Spirit. Things that you used to do that you know you shouldn't be doing. And so it's not a do's and a don'ts. It's a surrender unto him to his love.
And so you're able to say, you know, I love the Lord, and what he has for me now is so much greater, so much better than the pigpen I used to live in. I don't wanna live like a pig in a pigpen anymore.
And so the change, the metamorphosis, the transformation as you're in his word. So he's changing you from glory to glory. So Jesus does not leave us as he found us. And so I got saved at 20. Hopefully, I'm maturing.
Hopefully, I'm growing. Hopefully I'm growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Hopefully, Kathy can see that there's some growth in my life, and I can see an incredible amount of growth, you know, in her life.
And, and that's the whole thing is we wanna know him. So if I look at the apostle Paul and all that he accomplished, what's the gist of his life?
What's the one goal of Paul's life that I might know him? In Philippians three ten. That's all I want. I just wanna know God. I live so much of my life not knowing him.
I was religious. I was zealous, but I was deceived. I was persecuting the church. I was wasting the church. And then I heard this voice at twelve noon with a bright shining real light, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?
Who art thou Lord? I'm Jesus whom you're persecuting. Can you continue to kick against the goats, Paul? How much longer can you resist my love? You're haunted by Stephen. You're haunted by his face.
It's shown bright like that of an angel, like Moses' face once shown. But it's a fading glory. Stephen. Jesus stood and gave Stephen a standing ovation that day, and they laid the coats of the feet of one called Saul.
Who art thou, Lord? I'm Jesus whom you're persecuting in. The apostle Paul went from Saul to Paul and his life was radically radically changed. And what did he do?
He spent the first three years in the deserts of Arabia relearning what he thought he knew, being taught, being discipled directly by Jesus before he went out in the ministry, before he went out to fulfill the calling, show him what things he must suffer for my name's sake.
What a calling. Brilliant man, but all that brilliance and all that he thought he once knew needed to come to that place of submission and understanding of who Jesus is.
He didn't even know what the church was. When he wrote, Ephesians, he said that the church was a mystery once hid, now revealed.
None of the old testament guys ever saw the church in the future. And then God's using Paul, Peter, and the disciples to reveal to people a Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the formation of the church.
Made up of both Jew and Gentile, male, female, barbarian, Scythian, bond or free, whosoever will.
Let them come. And you and I continue in this church age, as blindness and part has happened unto Israel, the Lord, deals with Israel and judges Israel because of their rejection of their messiah.
And then they're dispersed in seventy AD when Titus surrounds the city of Jerusalem, puts a siege upon it, destroys the temple and everything in it.
And the Jews are spread all over the world for about two thousand years until 05/14/1948.
And they're drawn back into the land as a nation. Reborn as a nation. Revelation or excuse me, Ezekiel thirty six and thirty seven, valley of dry bones.
But they haven't been reborn spiritually from within. They've been regathered in unbelief and they're looking for a future, as we said, a day where they take the veil off their face, off of their heart.
They factor Jesus into the equation. They get to know him, and then everything makes sense. All the old, the new, it all fits. Just as it does for you and I, just as it did for the apostle Paul.
He begins a process of transformation, a work that he will complete. Philippians one verse six, being confident of this very thing, that he that has begun a good work in you, that he will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
He's working in you. He continues to work in you and I. Some of us in accelerated growth, some stalled, whatever, it's predicated upon you and your cooperation with him.
If you're yielding and cooperating with him, or if you're immersed in things of the world, you're gonna have a slower growth.
Some of you may even fall away for a period of time, go back out into the world, waste twenty years, and then come back around and start over, and pick up where we left off.
Right? He's there. He's gonna complete that work. In Ephesians two verse 10, we're told that we are his workmanship. He's the potter. We're the clay. We are his workmanship. His poema, his work of art.
He started with what? What did he What kind of materials did he start with? Clay, dirt, little bit of water. And look at what he's fashioning. He's fashionating from the dust of the ground that you would be made in his likeness.
The likeness of his son. We are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus under good works, in which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.
That you and I would have a function within the body, a place within the body, a place within his government in the future, that we wouldn't just be sitting on a shelf somewhere, but, he's gifted you.
He's given gifts to each and every person in this room as a part of the body of Christ.
You have a function within the body. And as you operate and yield to him, he being the head, you being the toe, the hand, the arm, whatever it may be, it fits.
It fits. What I'm doing for the Lord at this stage of my life, it fits. There were times in my life it didn't fit. It was a little awkward. It was necessary, but it was kinda like on hold.
It's like, well, when do I discover why I was really made? When do I discover what it is I'm supposed to do with the rest of my life? And when you discover that, when the Lord reveals these things unto you, it's just so amazing.
It's so effortless to just be who he's made you to be. You don't have to be something you're not. It's very exciting. That's why I enjoy so much getting here this morning with you guys. I don't care how many people are here.
I've been studying this all week long. I wanted somebody to show up because this is my place within the body. This is what I do. And I get to I get to tell you about my Jesus. And you get to hear about your Jesus.
And we collectively, corporately focus upon Jesus, the looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before me endured the cross of spite and the shame, and is seated down at the right hand of the father.
That's our Jesus. He's gonna complete that work. We are powerless to change ourselves. Self reformation doesn't work. Why when you look at the word metamorphoo or transform, why do the Zuckerbergers change their company to meta?
What's that about? Facebook gonna change? A social engineering psyop to change the way people think, to transform them from within?
God wants to metamorphosis us. He wants to transform us by the renewing of our minds that we may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
We wanna walk in God's will. And as we get to know him, he's transforming and changing us from glory to glory into the image of his son.
These guys are counterfeits. They're counterfeits trying to do what only God can do. In Matthew 12 verse 43, Jesus spoke of what it's like when, people try self reformation.
They try to reform themselves. Jesus said, it's when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking rest and finds none.
Then he says, I'll return unto my house from whence I came out. And when he has come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished. And then he goes out and he takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself.
And they enter in and dwell there, and the last state of that man is worse than that of the first, even so shall it be also under this wicked generation.
A generation that rejects Jesus and relies upon the social engineers, relies upon the technology. The AI technology is demonic. It's the devil's language.
The devil I mean, we have television. Okay. We can use it for good. Radio, we can use it for good. We can use technology for good. But the overwhelming aspect of the AI is it's occult demonic inspired, seeking singularity.
And we know in Revelation 13, everyone's gonna bow down and worship the image of the beast. The beast can be able to speak to people during the tribulation period.
And so, we we see the counterfeit. We see the meta counterfeit. We see the Elon, the devil, the iron mixed with clay, where you take the clay of man and mix it with technology, the iron mixed with clay in Daniel two.
We see the Neuralink. We see the sky gate, wanting to put something in your brain and try and transform and change the way you think, the chain the way you operate.
They initially, you know, introduce it as a means of from a health standpoint of getting your, spinal cyst spinal cord neurologically, your brain and everything to sync and to work.
And there may be some really good things that as a result of that technology, we recognize that.
But the mRNA vaccines we're watching presently where Moderna, the, CEO of Moderna is boasting recently that he had the vaccine out two years before COVID came.
That they were on the verge of bankruptcy, but they made enormous amount of money off COVID nineteen.
He's boasting about it right now. And we're watching the funds being allocated for the next pandemic that's coming. The bird flu, the virus, the Ebola, whatever it is they're going to, you know, going to roll out next.
They're getting ready with the m n r mRNA, DNA changes and, wanting to change you from being human to a demonic, at a demonic human level.
And so to change the gene pool, to change, track tracking and tracing with the graphene and the five g and all the different technologies, they're imagining that they can load your mind, your soul into the cloud in the event your body gets too old or something happens.
And then later, they can find a body and redownload your soul into this body that they've fixed up for you. They have all sorts of ideas postulating these ideas, giving people what we would call a false hope.
So because people reject the truth in second Thessalonians two, because they suppress the truth in Romans one or reject the truth in second Thessalonians two.
God says, then I'll give them over to a strong delusion that they will believe the lie. What's the lie? The lie, the same lie is back in the garden. You can be as gods. That's the lie.
They're gonna deceive people. Jared Kushner, Noah Yuval Harari, these people boasting that they're gonna live for a hundred and forty, hundred and fifty years, you know? And, maybe live forever. Without Jesus, I don't think so.
So Jesus offers to make you holy. Is there any pill that can make you holy? Is there any transformation, or meta, or metamorphosis, or whatever can make you holy? No. Only God can make you holy. And what's your greatest enemy?
Yourself. The tyranny of self, the tyranny of being a fallen human being is the is because the people closest to you are the ones you hurt. They're the ones you hurt the most. It's self. Lord, I need you to change me, man.
There's that old selfish, academic nature that I do good some days and I do really bad other days. You know? But he can make you holy. Wouldn't that be great to be holy? I'm getting to where I'm so tired of arguing with these people.
I don't wanna argue anymore. I wanna be left alone. I wanna study the word of God and then pour myself out on Sunday. I wanna be left alone because they're picking fights everywhere I go now.
They're picking fights with lunacy, idiocy, nonsensical arguments all over social media. I don't wanna engage. I refuse to engage. I refuse to waste my time anymore.
I thought I could help, but I'm finding that people don't wanna know the truth. They just wanna argue. And YouTube has made them such where they're intoxicated with their self importance, like they know so much, and they don't.
As my pastor, pastor David Hawking, doctor David Hawking used to say, gentlemen, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. And you come in you come into school the first year there and you know a little bit of Greek and Hebrew.
You study a little bit. You know a little bit more than the average guy that's working every hour of every day, and now you're gonna boast and and show them your new little toy.
And that's what these people are doing all over YouTube. Why? Because their pastors aren't teaching them the bible. Because they're not learning prophecy. They're not going through the old testament.
They're just getting little sermonettes for Christianettes, so it makes them vulnerable. It makes them vulnerable, and they look to the YouTube to find all these different gurus and experts and such.
I'm not gonna engage. They think they already know. If somebody has a question and wants to know, I'll do my best to provide an answer from the bible.
But I'm not gonna get caught in that nonsensical crazy stuff ever again. It's not gonna happen. I'll go under I'll go under the radar again if I have to. I was under the radar for a lot of years, and I love it. I'm happy with myself.
I come here and then I then I go for it, or Monday night. But then Vicky taught me to come out and try to do Facebook, and I met all my friends from forty years ago. And that was fun. That's a lot of fun. Post all my grandkids.
That's fun. But you gotta learn how to block people, man. You got if you're gonna be on there, you gotta block them. You you got the you got the thing. Block them. Don't try to don't try to win them because, man, that's a waste of time.
Just I learned my lesson. It's it's just like, you gotta be out of your rocker, man. Only God can reach these people. That's why he says wipe the dust off your feet.
Amen. You know, you gotta you can move on to somebody that's interested, somebody that wants to know, somebody that shows up. Know, at Calvary Brampton, you're here because you wanna know, because you wanna learn.
And it's the bible we're trying to learn. We're trying to get to know Jesus. He offers to make us holy. He offers to make us righteous. He wants to change you, to deliver you from yourself, from the tyranny of sin.
If you've ever been in bondage to sin, Jesus is the bondage breaker. Jesus is the great emancipator. Jesus is the one that can set you free. Set me free. Keep us free. Walking in that freedom, that newness of life.
He offers an eternal change, a metamorphosis, a transformation. How? By the power of the Holy Spirit. Something greater than all of man's technology. Something greater than artificial intelligence, the counterfeits and such.
The singularity they're seeking for, yearning for, wanting. And boy, as soon as Revelation six starts with the seal judgments coming out, they're gonna say, uh-oh.
Because they believe the lie of peace and safety, and sudden destruction comes out after them according to first Thessalonians five, as a woman in travail.
As a woman pregnant, her birth pangs come out, this birthing of the beast system, they're gonna, uh-oh.
And then all hell breaks loose in a very short period of time. Half the world's population is dead. You know what's funny about that Moderna?
I walked I read some articles on it this week, the or excuse me, the the mRNA vaccines that they're wanting to put out there. They're advertising them presently as a means of dealing with specific cancers.
They're advertising it even as we're gonna take a needle and just jab it in somebody's heart for any of the myocarditis or any of this clotting or any of that.
We're we're re engineering the mRNA for this purpose. And then the article that I gave to some of you, the lady looks at the patents and it's a complete opposite.
It's the mRNA stimulates turbo cancers. The mRNA kills people, not a miraculous now how do people keep going there? We're smart in that. Right? If they do that masking and all that stuff again, we're we're we're smart in that.
Right? 25% of the people said no last time. 75% fell for it. But it would seem the objective is what we talked about on January 1 is what? Population reduction.
This efficiency government, government efficiency. Big part of efficiency is not just removing people from their jobs, but euthanasia, getting rid of old people, getting rid of useless eaters in all various different ways.
And so, just as Sherry Tempey said and doctor Judy Melissa said when COVID first hit, in the next few years, you're gonna see vades. You're gonna see people's immune systems, erode, and you're going to see what's called turbo cancers.
So then if you talk to oncologists and doctors, and pastor Kevin has a doctor at his church that does oncology, and he said he's seen things he's never seen before, multiple types of cancer in the people's bodies.
Right? But you don't hear about this. You don't hear about it. But this is what their technology is leading toward. It's leading toward destruction of of all humanity. In the end, accept those days to be short, no flesh should be saved.
Jesus has to intervene from this grand experiment of the devil and all the globalists and all the whatever they're doing. It'd be great if they could use the technology for the good.
It'd be great if we could have a hydrogen cell to power our vehicles and, you know, and never need, you know, oil or propane or batteries again. It'd be great if they would allow the technology to for water to produce enough energy.
Right? Clean burning energy. It'd be great, but there's too much money to be made. And so we're gonna we'll see what happens in the future and who gets at it and who gets to have that stuff.
And, and and it's mind boggling. Things are happening so quick, but the thing I'm so thankful for, most excited about, is it tells me that Jesus is coming again.
And this change that he started in my life back in 1980, that he's gonna finally finish it. I've been waiting a long time for him to finish it. Right? I I don't want him to stop.
And I've got to endure. I've got to endure and be able to live with myself and the thoughts in my head and the things that I do and the things I don't do. And as a human being living in this world, I don't like getting angry.
I I don't like arguing with people. I don't I don't want to anymore. Part of my job is to earnestly contend for the faith. Part of my job is to prove all things hold fast to that which is good. Part of it's my job.
I I have to I have to be able to debate and contend. And maybe this is where I can do it. They can listen to the tape. I don't know. Because, like I said, I I just I just don't I just don't want to. I wanna love on them.
I wanna be at peace. I don't wanna get suckered in. I don't wanna engage in these things where people really have no interest in wanting to change because all I'm offering them is a way to change of getting to know Jesus.
That's all I'm trying to do. Trying to help them get to he's the change maker. He's the one that can change them. If you're filled with fear, I'm trying to help you walk by faith. And faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God.
It doesn't come through denial. It doesn't come through denying that the tribulation period's coming. It doesn't deny come through denying the prophecies are being fulfilled. I want you to know the prophecies being fulfilled.
I want you to transition and turn it to just glory, excitement. It's the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great god and savior. It's not doom and gloom. The world is winding down. It's coming to its end.
And there'd be a new beginning. There'd be a new heaven, a new earth. The times of the gentiles is ending. He offers a change, a metamorphosis, a transformation. You become a new person, a new creation, a new beginning.
You ever needed a new beginning? If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things are passed away. All things are become new. Remember not the former things, neither the things of old.
Pressing forward, forgetting those things which are behind and pressing toward the mark. A lot of us have so failed, so fallen, have become so broken that we need a second chance.
We might need a third chance. And the word of the Lord comes to Jonah a second time. The word of the Lord comes a third time. And we remember not the former things, neither the things of old.
I can't fix those things in the past. I can't go back there and fix that. I need to move forward. I need to press toward the mark. No man putting his hand to the plow looking back fit for the kingdom of God.
I blew it. I hope I learned from my mistakes. I hope I don't repeat that. Lord, change me. I thought I had it made. I I thought I had it by the horns, but I didn't. I played the fool. I fell for it.
There's no restoring that mess. There's no fixing that mess. I'm gonna have to move on as a believer, knowing I did that as a believer. Lord, help me. Change me, lord. A change you can open, a changed heart, a changed holiness.
Come to Jesus. Let him change you. How many men regret that we've met that we know? I wish I would have been there for the kids more. I wish I'd have been there for my wife more. I I wish. I wish. I wish.
I wish. And we we go through life, we think we're doing right, we think we're doing good, and we can't hold it all together. Well, Lord, change me. Help me. Help me not repeat it. And then we see our kids and our kids may not like us.
They might despise us. They're raised in a Christian home, But they look at me as the dad that cheated on their on their mom. And they may forgive. And I ask for forgiveness, and I ask for a second chance, Lord.
I ask that you help me. God, that you change me, that I not go to the therapist and blame my wife, that I not go out in the public square in church and degrade and demean and tear her down and to build myself up and make excuses.
God, change me. Lord, give me the capacity to forgive him, the wife is saying.
There's so much hurt. There's so much pain. There's so much humiliation with all of our friends. And this is a common story. This is a common story in the church. What's wrong with us? We need a change. We need God to change us.
We need a real change. A change of heart and a change in holiness. Come to Jesus, let him change you. Every day, come to Jesus and let him change you. Every day, you're being changed from glory to glory into the image of Christ.
When you take a test, if you fail the test, the thing about a test is, as you're tested, as God allows temptation in our lives, if you fail a test, you get to retake it.
You fail it, you retake it. You say, Lord, I'm out of here. I'm angry. You didn't give me my way. You throw your temper tantrum and you come back and he says, where did we leave off? Are you ready? Yes, Lord. Come to Jesus.
Let him change you. Be born again. Be transformed. Be loved. Be loved like you've never ever been loved, and allow the Lord to put a love in your heart that to love those around you. To forgive. To forget. To build up. To strengthen up.
To encourage. To be Christ like. In first John three thirteen, he says, behold what manner of love the father has bestowed upon us, that we would be called the sons of God. The world knew us not because the world knew him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of god. It may not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. And he that has this hope in him purifies himself even as he is pure.
You're hoping. You're looking for the lord Jesus to come. It's a purifying hope. It's a good hope. Because you know that when you see him, you're gonna be like him. When he appears, when you see him, he's gonna transform and change you.
In Philippians three twenty and twenty one, it says, our citizenship is in heaven from whence comes our savior, Jesus Christ our lord, who shall change this vile body and fashion us a new body after his glorious body.
Can't you wait? That change is coming.
Even according to him working according to his power to subdue all things, he goes on to say. He's gonna subdue everything under his sovereignty. And then we read in first Corinthians 15, behold, I show you a mystery.
We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed. In the moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump, the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruption must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. You see, the lord doesn't have a plan of reformation. He's not gonna reform the old you.
He's making a new you, new you. The the old has to die. The old has to go back in the ground. He's got a new glorified body for you. This vile this viable body, this vile body, this filthy body is gonna have to die.
He's gonna change your vile body and liken your new body as his glorious body, a holy body. No more inclination of sin. No more thoughts of sin. No more two part fighting, the flesh against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.
You're gonna be free. First Thessalonians four sixteen, for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
And we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with him in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. So should we ever be with the Lord? He says, let not your heart be troubled. Do you believe in God? Believe also me.
My father's house are many mansions. If it weren't so, I tell you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you onto myself that where I am, there you may be also.
Then Luke 21, Jesus said, watch. Keep watching. Don't act like there's no tribulation period. Don't act like there's no beast system. Don't live in denial and act like it's not coming.
It's not doom and gloom. It means Jesus is coming for you. So watch ye therefore and pray always that you would be accounted worthy to escape these things. What things? The tribulation period.
The beast system. The beast system that's being put together right now under under your eyes. The beast system's coming together. The Antichrist doesn't just come on the scene and, you know, then develop his system.
The system's being made right now. A A one world economic system, a one world government system, a one world religious system is being made right now. The technology's there. The occult's there.
The Mars venture, you know, is there. All the kooky stuff, all the deceptive things, the times of deception are just on steroids. How's anybody gonna discern the truth in the days and weeks ahead? Keep it simple, right here.
You know, I haven't been on Facebook or any of that stuff in quite a while. I'm getting feeling back on my fingers. I'm getting my sanity back. I'm not trying to change the world, people that have no business of changing.
Just focus on my little little group, myself, my family, my friends, you know, and that's all I can do. And people are designed to make me crazy. That's what they're there for.
That you may become worthy to escape these things and stand before the son of man. Jesus got a plan and he's gonna complete that plan. And his purpose is in changing you and I, preparing you and I for heaven.
Preparing you and I, because you need a space suit to go to the moon. Right? He's preparing you and I from within outward to be in the presence of a just and holy God for all eternity.
Amen? Let's pray. Father, thank you for how simple it is. Help us in the days and weeks ahead to keep it simple. To not be taunted. To not be baited. To not get off track of where we need to be.
It's so fun to feast upon your word, Lord. It's so fun to dig in and and study and, and know that there's so much deception out there. And Lord, we can be wise concerning that which is good and simple concerning that which is evil.
I don't need to know everything they're doing out there. But I do thank you that there's students here that were watching prophetically, who were like the sons of Issachar, were aware of the times in which we're living.
Lord, we see the the beast system morphing. We see it emerging. And to those things, Lord, we're excited. We're looking up, knowing our redemption draws nigh.
We don't know every little nuance about it. We don't know every little play, every little thing that's going on, all the slight of hand. But Lord, our eyes are upon you and you're helping us to have discernment.
You're helping us to see things clearly. And Lord, we just pray that you continue to lead and guide us into all truth, that we wouldn't give up, that we wouldn't lose faith.
When the son of man comes, will you find faith upon the earth? Lord, certainly. Build our faith. Strengthen us, Lord. Without faith, Lord, we're nothing. We got nothing without faith.
Thank you for the gift of faith that you've given us, Lord. And again, give us greater and greater discernment. Make us better students of your word, and continue to change us from glory to glory into your image, Lord.
As we read your word and as we see who we are in relationship to who you are, Lord, we get grace attacks. We're reminded of who we are and that still small voice speaking to us saying that you're changing us.
You're working. You're working in our marriages. You're working in our children's lives. You're working in the lives of our coworkers, family, and friends.
And Lord, the things that matter are the uppermost even now. There's a greater urgency even now. Lord, we pray more and more that you'd add to the church daily such as should be saved.
And Lord, we pray for some great time of studying your word, proclaiming the good news, sharing the gospel. One man sows another waters. Lord, bring the increase as people lose hope.
As all their idols, all their false gods begin to crumble, the things they thought they knew are exposed and they know they don't, and they come back to square one with a childlike humble faith in you and a willingness to study your word.
Bless, Lord, we pray. In Jesus' name, amen.
