Shalom and welcome back. In chapter 32 of Tanya, the Alter Rebbe explains that negative thoughts that enter our minds against our will are considered “passing thoughts” and are therefore powerless. The reason they are considered powerless is that just like a fleeting thought that we pay no attention to, so too should negative thoughts be treated - ignore them. Imagine a world where negative thoughts can be acknowledged yet dismissed as non-consequential, the peace of mind that would result would be immeasurable. This concept can empower us to live with greater serenity, knowing that we can choose to focus on the positive. This podcast was produced and sponsored by Daniel Aharonoff.
