You don't need to burn it all down.

Sometimes you don't need to do a full reset of your business. You just need to do a soft pivot.

And in this podcast episode, I wanna break down what it looked like when I realized that in my business and how you can do the same.

If you're new here, hi, my name is Blu. I'm a business astrologer here to help online service providers use astrology so that they can start, grow, and scale their online business.

This episode, I wanna take you behind the scenes as to what just isn't working in my business and how my Midheaven actually helps me to make the shift that I needed to continue doing this work without burning it all down.

I've been in the online business space since 2015 as an online service provider. And I have been a coach, a consultant, a strategist, everything under the sun. And so much of what I love about being a business astrologer is that I get to bring all that experience into my work, but that doesn't make me immune to the assumptions and the pressure to conform my business to look like everyone else's.

When you're just getting started, it's so easy to follow in the path of what you see works. You begin by modeling your business off of what you see working for other people. And it's not until you're in the work that you realize exactly what you uniquely need in order to succeed, in order to feel invigorated and excited by your work; and most importantly, to make it yours.

And even with all my experience in the online business space, that was exactly what happened to me. When I started as a business astrologer, I started my business doing what many other astrologers do: with readings.

I started doing readings because I wanted to meet people directly. I wanted to work with people one-on-one, and I wanted to have a specific container where I worked with folks and supported them and working through their birth chart and with their Midheaven specifically, which is my specialty.

And that worked for a while, until it didn't. And what I found is that there were so many aspects that I loved about this setup in my business: I love working with clients one-on-one. I love diving deep with them. I love strategizing and consulting and being able to offer guidance and wisdom and reflection for my clients to make informed decisions and how they can move forward in their business.

But I found that it just felt like something was missing.

I was struggling to feel excited to show up to book long-term private containers, even though I knew that that's where my genius lies. I really didn't even feel like showing up to market these long-term containers, even though I knew that my consultations were getting booked up, but it just wasn't resonating in the way that I wanted to. And most importantly, as a online service provider with a day job.

It was just so chaotic trying to schedule consults around my day job schedule. I have a very non-traditional day job, and it was just so hard managing that unpredictable schedule with my online business.

What this taught me is that it is not just about the energy, it's that the model itself was no longer a fit for me, and that's what needed to change.

So that's when I realized I had a choice to make. I could either choose to burn it all down to start from square one from the beginning again, which I really didn't wanna do. Or I could see what wasn't working and begin to make those necessary pivots, in order to move forward and align my business in what was working to go more in that direction.

So I chose the latter. And how I did this, it's no surprise, because I returned to the Midheaven.

When it came to returning to my Midheaven, it felt like coming home. Because Midheaven is already part of your birth chart. It's already there and meant to be the North Star in your business because it is connected to your vocation, the work that is most impactful to you.

What I learned when I returned to my Midheaven is that so much of what wasn't working in my business was just because I'm just simply not built for that.

I wanted to dive deeper. I wanted to meet my clients for longer. And I didn't wanna have to chase after going viral or having a massive audience in order to do that.

This was what my Midheaven was trying to tell me.

So once I realized that I had a blueprint already designed, already created, already waiting for me. And I just had to do a soft backtrack; not a full on pivot, but just making a change in direction to realize what the essence of the work that I'm here to guide people on really looks like.

And that's how the Midheaven Method was born.

So much of traditional business advice has you following a one-size-fits-all path. It wants you to chase after virality, and to amass a huge audience, and to be sucked in this constant loop of creating for an algorithm and chasing after the next big thing.

But the reality is that your business gets to be designed around what you need, what your specific path for success looks like.

The reality is, I don't wanna do any of these things. I don't wanna chase after going viral. I don't want to constantly be locked into appeasing an algorithm, or creating content for the sake of creating content.

I want to center my business around depth, around intimacy with my clients; around longer transformation, and around the things that I actually am designed to do.

The essence of my work sits in the meeting place between astrological guidance and business strategy consulting. Knowing that and having the desire to create a business around that is the permission slip that I needed to transform my business to better suit that, rather than following this pressure that my business needs to look like every other everyone else's.

Realizing this helps me to understand that my business model wasn't wrong. It just needed to be more aligned to me. It needed to better fit the essence of what I do best. And most importantly, how my Midheaven is the guidance for that.

So here's how I made that shift. I didn't wanna quit. I just wanted to get some much needed clarity. I wanted to go deeper. Instead of working with a huge amount of people, what if I just worked with a smaller group of more aligned folks? What if I didn't just focus on doing natal chart readings and one-off consultations, but instead really focused on giving more strategic guidance?

What if I centered my offers around my capacity and my energy, rather than just the assumption of what I think would sell? And what if I really zeroed in on working with clients that didn't need convincing, but they just got it. They understood what it is they wanted to do, and really focused on what they needed and how to best support them.

That's really what my Midheaven has been trying to tell me this whole time, and it's really taken to this point to design that. Because I needed to go through that process.

I needed to find out what didn't work before I could align myself to what did.

Realizing this and taking all of that experience... taking all this information from my birth chart to my business background, to my actual experience of taking action in the field is what helped me realize that this isn't a full on pivot. This is a soft backtrack back to my essence, back to my unique brilliance, back to the thing that I do best. And this is the thing that only I can do because it's this unique blend of not just astrology and strategy, but my experience, my story.

So if you're finding yourself in a similar space, there are questions that you can ask yourself.

What's the business that you're actually trying to run? What do you actually want to be doing? Not just what you see other people doing, but what do you actually truly want to be doing around the work that you are committed and dedicated to?

What's the transformation that you are actually here to guide people through? And this is looking at yes, what your Midheaven is in. Yes, your industry, your niche. But it's also your lived experience. What are the things that work and what don't work?

The answer to these questions are more illuminating than you could possibly imagine.

This is what I mean when I say your Midheaven is meant to be at the center of your business strategy. Because the reality is the Midheaven is so much deeper than career advice.

It's not just a label to your career. It's not just something to say, oh, well, I have my Midheaven and this sign, so therefore I can only have this kind of career, or I can only choose this occupation.

Your Midheaven is your strategic anchor. It is the thing that grounds not what you do, but how you do it, and the specific way that you do it.

So even if you're working in the same industry, in the same niche with another person who also has the same Midheaven sign as you, you're gonna do it in completely different ways, because you both have unique relationships and experiences with your Midheaven.

That's what this process is about. Your business alignment is really based on how you're here to do the work that you're meant to do, not just what that work is.

So the Midheaven is not just about finding your career. It's not just about finding your niche. It's the blueprint for how to actually build a sustainable, legacy aligned business, which is what you've been desiring to create all along.

Your business doesn't have to look like anyone else's, and it shouldn't. And when you start building your business with your Midheaven at the center of that strategy, that's when things really click into place.
