So, let's talk about this whole Internet age we live in, folks. You remember the good old days, right? When you'd actually go outside, meet people face-to-face, and have real conversations? - Now, you've got kids these days, they're born with an iPhone in one hand and a Starbucks latte in the other. -
I mean seriously, folks, what happened to climbing trees and playing tag? Nowadays, kids are getting carpal tunnel before they even hit puberty! - We've got 8-year-olds clutching their wrists in pain and we're like, "Oh no, what happened, buddy? Fall off your bike?" and they're like "No...Too much Fortnite." -
And then there's this whole dating scene in the 21st century. I mean, back in the day, you had to actually approach a woman, look her in the eyes, and risk getting slapped or drink thrown in your face. - Now, all you gotta do is swipe right! You don't even need to wear pants! -
Now, let's talk about politics for a second. These politicians, man, they're something else. I mean, they're like the weather in Chicago; if you don't like them, just wait 5 minutes and they'll change. - They switch positions more often than a yoga instructor on Red Bull! -
And then there's social media, right? I mean, it's like everyone's living in this alternate reality. You've got folks posting pictures of themselves on vacation on some exotic beach, sipping cocktails, but what they don't show you is the 2 hours they spent finding the right filter, the right angle, and the right caption. - They're all like "Living my best life!" and I'm like, "Buddy, if you spent half as much time living your life as you do pretending to live it, you'd actually have a life!" -
But hey, that's just the world we live in now, folks. Where it's easier to pretend to be happy than to actually be happy. - Where you can be anyone you want to be, as long as it's not yourself. - But hey, who am I to judge? I'm just a comedian with a podcast. -
