Whether we're dissecting politics, exploring human relationships, or just sharing a laugh at life's absurdities, this is the place where every jest strikes a chord. Tune in, laugh out loud, and think a little deeper—because here, every fable has its truth.
Hey, hey, hey! Welcome back to Fennell's Fables, folks. I'm your host, Trey Fennell, and today we're gonna dive head-first into the deep end of the societal pool. So, grab your water wings - because we're talking dating apps.
Oh yes, the modern meat market. And I mean, can we just pause for a second to appreciate the absurdity of that concept? We've gone from "till death do us part" to "swipe right if you're hot" in just a couple generations. I gotta say, folks, human evolution is really something to behold.
Now, I'm not knocking anyone who's found love on these apps, but I gotta tell ya, it's a strange world we're navigating. I mean, how are you supposed to know if you're compatible with someone based on a few selfies and a bio that says, "I love hiking, dogs, and tacos"? That describes just about everyone I know, including my grandma. And let me tell you, she's not exactly prime Tinder material.
On the political front - and isn't it interesting how everything seems to come back to politics these days? You can't even order a cup of coffee without it becoming a political statement. "Oh, you like your coffee black? Must be a conservative." "You take it with cream and sugar? Clearly a liberal."
I mean, come on, folks. Can't we just enjoy a hot cup of Joe without it becoming a referendum on our political beliefs? And speaking of referendums, how about that last election, huh? The way people were biting their nails, you'd think it was the season finale of Game of Thrones.
But let's not forget, at the end of the day, it's all a game. A big, crazy, mixed-up game where the rules are constantly changing and nobody really knows what the hell is going on. So, my advice? Just keep swiping right. You never know, you might just find your perfect match.
And if not, well, there's always hiking, dogs, and tacos.
This is Trey Fennell, signing off for another episode of Fennell's Fables. Stay funny, stay curious, and most importantly, stay woke.
Until next time, folks.
