Hello and welcome to the Transfer News Podcast! I'm Archer, and it's Thursday the twelfth of February, two thousand and twenty-six. We've got a packed show today with plenty of movement in the transfer market, so let's dive straight in.

Starting with Aston Villa, who are reportedly plotting a move for Morgan Gibbs-White. Unai Emery seems keen to bolster his midfield options, and Gibbs-White's creativity could be exactly what Villa need for their push up the table. This one's been reported by BBC Sport, and it'll be interesting to see if Nottingham Forest are willing to let him go.

Now, over to Manchester United, where Sandro Tonali is apparently high on their shortlist. The Newcastle midfielder has been impressive, and Michael Carrick is clearly looking to strengthen his squad with top quality players. Tonali's energy and ball-winning ability could transform United's midfield.

In related news, Tonali is also the top target for Juventus. It seems the Italian giants are competing with Manchester United for his signature, which could drive up the price significantly. Newcastle will be hoping for a bidding war if they decide to sell.

Speaking of big clubs circling, Real Madrid are reportedly stepping up their interest in Rodri. The Manchester City midfielder has been phenomenal under Pep Guardiola, and losing him would be a massive blow to City's title ambitions. I can't see City letting this happen easily, but Real Madrid have a way of getting their man.

Liverpool are set to rival Manchester United for Adam Wharton. The Crystal Palace midfielder has caught the attention of both Arne Slot and Michael Carrick, and at his age, he represents a fantastic investment for the future. Palace will want a hefty fee for one of their brightest prospects.

Marcus Rashford apparently wants to stay at Barcelona. After his loan move to the Spanish giants, it seems he's enjoying life in Catalonia and wants to make the switch permanent. This could be a significant development for Manchester United's long-term planning.

Juventus are interested in Everton striker Beto. The Italian club are looking to strengthen their attack, and Beto's physical presence could suit Serie A perfectly. David Moyes might be willing to listen to offers if the price is right.

Jean-Philippe Mateta has reportedly agreed a move to AC Milan. The Crystal Palace striker has been in good form, and this represents a significant step up in his career. Oliver Glasner will need to find a replacement quickly if this goes through.

Inter Milan want Liverpool's Curtis Jones on loan. The Italian champions are looking for midfield reinforcements, and Jones could benefit from regular playing time in Serie A. Arne Slot will need to weigh up whether the loan move serves Liverpool's interests.

Juventus have their eyes on Randal Kolo Muani and Joshua Zirkzee. The Italian club are clearly in the market for attacking reinforcements, and both players offer different qualities that could enhance their squad depth.

Brighton have rejected an approach for Lewis Dunk. Fabian Hurzeler is standing firm on keeping his captain, which shows the importance of Dunk to Brighton's defensive structure. It's good to see clubs holding onto their key players.

Nottingham Forest made a thirty-five million pounds bid for Mateta. Sean Dyche is clearly looking to strengthen his attack, though with Mateta reportedly heading to Milan, Forest might need to look elsewhere. That's a significant investment for Forest, showing their ambition.

Manchester City are keeping tabs on Trent Alexander-Arnold. With his contract situation at Liverpool still uncertain, City are monitoring the situation closely. Pep Guardiola adding Alexander-Arnold to his squad would be a game-changer for City's attacking play from right-back.

Tottenham could pay five million pounds for Andy Robertson. Thomas Frank is looking for experienced cover at left-back, and Robertson's winning mentality could be valuable for Spurs. At that price, it could be a shrewd bit of business.

There's no Real Madrid exit for Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to reports. Despite interest from the Spanish giants, it seems Alexander-Arnold is staying put for now. Liverpool fans will be relieved to hear this news.

Aston Villa are targeting Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Unai Emery is clearly looking to add depth to his midfield, and Loftus-Cheek's Premier League experience could be valuable. AC Milan might be open to selling if the price is right.

Villa are also interested in Mateta, though as we mentioned earlier, he's reportedly agreed a move to Milan. It seems Villa are exploring multiple striking options to support their European ambitions.

Ibrahima Konate's contract situation at Liverpool is reportedly not settled. The French defender has been excellent when fit, and Liverpool will be keen to tie him down to a new deal. Arne Slot will want this resolved sooner rather than later.

Finally, Chelsea are apparently open to selling Enzo Fernandez. After spending over one hundred million pounds on him, this would represent a significant U-turn from the club. Liam Rosenior might be looking to reshape his squad, and moving on big earners could be part of that plan.
