Yeah!

what's going on everybody it's my friday i

get done with work today and i'm headed

to knoxville tennessee back on the road

for the first time in a while feeling

good about that so i am super excited

about this weekend we've got three

semi-finals one weekend

We're getting eight men and eight women

tickets to the games.

Which is a lot.

And six teams?

I think that's right.

Three from NorCal.

Yeah.

Two.

Two from NorCal.

Okay.

Two from NorCal.

But they're not doing teams.

Syndicate gets three, three, three.

Yeah, so Syndicate gets three teams.

And then MadFit, I think, gets three,

three, three.

It'll have to be three as well, yeah.

All right.

All the things, dude.

Such a busy weekend, semis and WCWs.

The Women's College World Series.

Oh,

I thought that was like Eric Bischoff came

back with the new WCW.

Negative, negative, negative.

No.

It was good to see him on that

Hulk Hogan documentary.

I forgot he was a person.

I was like, holy smokes, Eric Bischoff,

how about that?

That is a tale to do not let

your ego get the best of you.

A hundred percent.

hundred percent completely takes over the

wrestling world with wcw in the nineties

and went way too far with his ego

and ended up going bankrupt and having to

sell off the company legitimately wrote

checks his ego legitimately wrote checks

that his ass could not cash like that's

a thing that actually happened crazy man

crazy

joining from the air,

flying home from Missouri.

Man, Clydesdale at thirty thousand feet.

I love that.

Amanda was telling it.

I didn't know she could fly.

That's outstanding.

Uh, speaking of excited,

you should be excited to get your salt,

start to calmer Thursday right now.

Hey,

you should be excited to get any Thursday

right now.

If you want to,

it's your weekends coming up.

You need to get so much sleep.

That's the way to do it.

If you're an athlete,

you don't have to worry about popping.

That stuff is third party tested to make

sure it is clean.

Not sure about the rest of the world.

We got enhanced games going on.

We've got people leaving HGH in fridges.

But with THIRDZ,

you are not going to pop.

Thirds of you good.

Tested.

Proven.

Got the stamp on it.

John George, man, we miss you.

Finally catching a live show.

Big weekend.

Can you imagine just leaving an Airbnb,

getting all the way back to where, or,

you know,

some person always letting you stay

basically and getting all the way back

home and realizing that you left your

performance enhancing hormones somewhere

in a completely different spot.

If there's one thing to remember to pack.

if nothing else forget the underwear in

the drawer i get it that's easy to

come by shorts in the washer i get

it but your hgh that should be the

first thing that gets packed in the cooler

when you head out of the airbnb lovingly

wrap your stuff and bubble wrap and put

it into the cooler to make sure that

this makes the trip back to the house

The most important thing to pack and you

forget it.

Unreal.

Bananas.

I wouldn't know what that feels like,

but that's a bit of a shit.

Oh, shit moment.

Unless you have an interpreter who's

willing to take the blame.

Sort of.

Kind of.

Kind of took the blame.

Because for that interpreter to be on top

of his game,

he's got to be as fit as possible

and recover from the interpreting.

It would help if he looked like he

had, what was the words?

He looked like he had touched a dumbbell

before.

It would help.

That would help.

Yeah.

A whole lot.

Mark says,

I have to use blood tests to detect

AGH, unfortunately.

A hundred percent agree with you,

but that's still, I just...

probably because I'm not that dude,

but I cannot fathom using some stuff to

actively cheat people out of and then

forgetting it somewhere.

It seems to be like that should be

pretty high on the list of priorities so

that you don't get in the situation you

are now where people are like, oh yeah,

look what we found.

Yeah.

It was my boyfriend strikes again.

Absolutely.

absolutely uh meredith says we forgot my

daughter's favorite blankie at an airbnb

once and i was horrified at that dude

thankfully jennifer accidentally when we

washed clothes before we came back from

birmingham accidentally brought one of

their hand towels back with us and was

mortified like email the people

immediately while we're in the car on the

way back hey i'm so sorry i just

realized we brought one of your hand a

hand towel it's this big it costs like

two bucks

That's a hand towel.

Yeah.

Carolyn brings up that,

and I don't know if this is still

the case,

but there was a time a couple years

ago where CrossFit would do blood testing

randomly at competitions.

And I think it has a better shot

of picking up the HGH,

but its life is still so short.

A hundred percent.

That it's probably out of your urine

faster.

but it's still probably out of your body

completely very, very fast.

Yeah.

I just, again,

if you know all the rules and you

know how to play and they're not,

it's just not economical for them to test

everybody all the time,

then you can get away with it if

you have no morals and just decide that

that's what you're going to do.

emeritus says yes i'd be mortified at the

hand towel as well not saying it's logical

but oh well yeah we've been back for

a month dude and like jennifer brought it

up again yesterday she was like it's part

of the set she's like i still i

still haven't heard anything back about

that hand towel and i said i'm pretty

sure it's gonna be okay just just throwing

that out there like

Yeah, like we as men would just say,

I'll just get a roll of paper towels,

throw in the bathroom, we're good to go.

It'll be fine.

It'll be absolutely fine.

Or go to Walmart and buy another

two-dollar hand towel.

Yeah,

or just mail the one back to them.

We still have their address.

If you really feel that strongly about it,

put it in an envelope,

fold it up nice and neat when it

comes out the dryer,

and then mail it on back to them.

And Karen says, yeah,

they still do some get urine only,

some get urine and blood.

Hexy Lover is going to be cheering for

Carolyn as we will as well.

I'll be cheering loud for you.

But not bloody urine.

That's a whole different thing.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Nobody wants that.

No, nobody wants that at all.

Nobody wants that.

All right.

So let's get to the picks because I

have a one o'clock meeting today.

Sure.

So we've got to keep this pretty short

and tight.

I know that's hard for us to just

stay on the rails for twenty minutes.

But yeah, but we're going to try.

Mark tested positive for a kidney stone.

I think he's just joking for the bloody

urine.

But yeah.

uh your panel came back uh pretty pretty

clean but it looks like you had a

kidney stone check that out thanks doc uh

he said he meant bladder stone that

doesn't even say that sounds yeah neat i

don't want either nope i certainly don't

want bladder stone that sounds really bad

yeah anyway all right so let's do our

picks

let's start with the hardest one first

let's go mad fit mad fit okay mad

fit over in europe in um spain yeah

spain madrid that's the city i was looking

for starts with a mad it does trying

to figure out the end of it finally

came there in the old noggin fired all

cylinders do you have you haven't have the

the the list of who's participating

because i don't

I have my picks written down here because

I prepared for the show.

Yeah, well,

I didn't realize Mad Fit was going on

this weekend.

Mad Fitness Festival.

Please excuse Corey.

He is still on a Pitbull hangover.

Still, one day left, two days left.

Where is it?

I just saw their roster.

So it's on Competition Corner if you want

to pull it up.

While you're doing that,

I'm going to go ahead and give him...

Oh, there we go.

Colin Bossard.

Done.

I didn't even see him on the list.

Guillaume Brion.

He's on the list for sure.

Neither one made my top three, but okay.

Toby Buckland.

This is just people that was confirmed.

I guess that's not necessarily the...

So I will go ahead and do my

top three while you're sorting through

your list.

You do that.

And on the men's side,

third place I'm giving to Jack Farlow.

Second place I'm giving to Enola Kai.

And first place, Yonikoski.

Old man's got one last competition left in

him.

One...

He's not that old.

He's just been competing since he was

seven.

Ever since he was at Fitness Festival.

Here we go.

Sorry, y'all.

As you can tell,

I was highly prepared for whatever today.

Adrian Munweiler.

Yep.

That's my door course right there.

Yeah, Guillaume's on there.

I just got his name backwards.

Did he qualify out of France?

Who?

Guillaume.

Guillaume Brion.

No.

Helen Clements.

Hexy Lover says, Corey,

just agree with Scott.

Yeah, I'm not doing that.

On the women's side,

third place is going to Mathilde Garnes.

Second place, Gabby Magawa.

First place, Claudia Gluck.

I want to switch Gabby and Claudia.

But other than that,

I think you're pretty spot on as far

as that's concerned.

I'm going to go with my – I'm

just going to buck the system completely.

Give me Adrian in third.

Give me – where is the Canadian guy?

Jack in second.

And give me Enola Kai.

To win.

To win, yep.

Like I said,

I think Gabby's going to show up.

I think she knocked the rust off in

Cookville.

And looking at the rest of these right

now,

I don't see anything that I'm looking at

and going, oh, yeah, that looks really,

I mean, Daewon Young, Elena Carvatala.

so while you're looking through that i

think claudia gluck has had an awesome

semi-final season and she's just fallen

short and i think this is her time

to shine oh mcgonigal first event is a

long run so she will be fighting up

the leaderboard again well

I mean,

maybe she can pad Belner the shit out

of it.

Didn't work in France.

And I think she's going to have a

hard time catching Gabby, Claudia,

and Mathilde at that point.

You're not wrong.

Because I have her down here as like

close, but not close enough.

Yeah, I got that.

all right uh you want to go to

eric you are right the endurance event

does have some machines in it i think

skierg and row but it's a lot it's

like three k a running minimum it's not

that far but still oh you wanna go

nor nor cow uh sure are you prepared

for that one nope

We said yesterday on the show we were

going to make our picks.

I know we did.

I know we did.

And then I got distracted.

You're the Tyler to my John.

A hundred percent.

John's like super organized.

He's got all his stuff written down.

I know I got Bill winning as far

as NorCal is concerned.

Okay.

Mr. Leahy.

I would...

I would like to see Jacob punch his

ticket.

Okay.

Your two homer picks.

Hey, bro.

You're throwing Samantha Pugh in on the

women's side too?

You're damn right I'm throwing Samantha

Pugh in on the women's side.

If I didn't,

she would murder me next time she saw

me.

I actually think that it does set up

pretty decent for her up in North Carolina

as far as Sam is concerned.

She's not going to win,

but I think she can place.

I think she can punch a ticket up

there.

But the curly-haired wonder is going to

take it.

I mean, I can't.

So on the men's side,

I have Leahy one spot out.

Third place.

In third.

Okay.

Second place, I have Pat Vellner.

He seems to have like one good event,

one bad event,

one good event at this point in his

career.

He's coming off a bad event.

I think this is going to be good

for him.

Fair.

And Tudor Magna to win by a landslide.

He's a top ten games athlete, man.

There's nobody else in the field with his

credentials.

I know he is.

I know he is.

NorCal has two spots, Vicky.

I just can't pick against Bill.

And then on the women's side,

you have Samantha Pugh and Kazan.

And Kazan, yeah.

Kazan to win, Sam Cummings second.

So I have Alex Kazan to win,

and then I have,

because I don't know what the events are,

I have a tight race with Emily Rolfe

and Carolyn Prevost.

I mean, that's fair.

And it depends on how the events fall,

who gets the upper hand.

I'm taking Emily now because NorCal

traditionally has like a long run of some

sort at some point during the weekend.

And I think she can make up a

lot of ground on Carolyn there.

But I think the rest of the weekend

is going to be tight.

Fair point.

Fair point.

Is Tudor athletic enough for the NorCal

surprises?

Tudor has done NorCal.

I think he has dove in and leaned

into that experience preparing him for

this year.

And Tudor has improved so much.

He's come a long way.

It's actually been fun to watch him

because of being able to see him just

come over and come over and come over

and get better and better and better as

he's going, right?

You've never seen him basically since he

was a child.

I mean, to you or not,

he's still a child.

Yes, Shay, NorCal is only two spots.

Yeah,

the California semis only got two each.

And I think it is all based on

trust in the event organizers and

longevity with the event organizers.

And NorCal,

if they lean in to getting help from

CrossFit, like they said they were,

and leaning into reaching out to JR and

Wilson Park,

then I think by next year they can

get three spots.

But after what happened last year,

they were only trusted with two.

Yeah, which is fair.

I will say this.

If there are,

because I obviously don't know any events

either,

but if there's more athletic type stuff,

then it helps Carolyn a whole lot.

Oh, yeah.

Because she is by far the best natural

athlete in the field.

It's not even close.

Yep.

Whereas the unknown helps Carolyn.

A hundred percent.

Yeah, it's...

And I really think the WFP experience for

Carolyn helped a ton.

Getting her out of the master's mindset

and back into elite athlete mindset,

going into this semifinal.

I like it.

uh mike mike mark my yeah yeah one

of that guy mark phillips likes wishart in

those types of events too i like wishart

she just hasn't proven to me that she's

ready to take that step to the the

top level yet yeah she's right there

though i i think she's got to unlock

some stuff and we'll see here we're going

to see wishart at the games before too

long i do believe that

uh let's go carolyn i think that's a

canadian flag in in wishart will be at

syndicate yeah i did see that see that's

another reason like with wilson you can

really trust what they put out because

they put out their roster just a day

or two ago and it is all confirmed

yeah it is a finalist on instagram you

can see the whole list

Yeah, and it's final.

Like it's, hey,

this is the list and this is the

list.

This is who's coming.

If you didn't see the behind the scenes

with Hiller and Wilson Park this morning,

you should.

It should be required watching to see what

the mindset is of Wilson as he's putting

together an event.

Yeah, because it's fantastic.

And Hiller even tries to get him off

track about programming.

Yeah.

And he's like,

he just plows through and says, well,

this is where the athletes are leaving.

Yeah,

he just completely ignores that question

and just goes back to me.

His programming isn't his thing.

He delegated that to JR and that team,

and they do what they're supposed to do.

I love that because he took a breath.

Like,

and this is where they're going to come

up.

Like, I'm not answering that.

We're just going to move right along.

Yeah.

love wilson everybody knows that he lives

up the street for me i i cannot

get enough wilson he is just a a

one hundred percent grade a dude so

speaking of syndicate picks here i thought

it was it's hard

It is.

And I do also have a friend who

is competing there,

but I'm not picking Brian.

So just love you, Brian, but sorry.

So he's the only Homer pick.

You're not making the only Homer pick.

I'm not.

Wow.

Yeah.

He's got to feel real good about himself

right now.

Wow.

He's going, I mean,

he obviously wants to be a games athlete.

He's incredibly fit, but in this field,

bless him i love him but i just

don't see it happening uh but no i

am on the oddly enough ready for this

one this is the one i'm watching this

weekend anyway just because the the norcal

streams behind flow elite and i don't nope

i don't know both oh is it elite

and youtube oh okay well then i'll be

watching and with the time difference you

can just bounce back and forth between the

events yeah yeah that's true that's true

hey look at holly yeah oh speaking of

holly

Dude,

because the games has not put out a

list of who qualified for the games.

She put out a list of everybody in

the,

in whatever their qualifying spots were,

but people are bitching already.

And I, I've got to protect my,

my girl.

CrossFit did nothing.

Zero zip zilch about anybody other than

the leaders.

And people are bitching that she didn't

sort out the people qualified at other

events.

She's doing the best she can.

She does it free of charge.

She does it free of charge.

It's free information.

That's the same people who have ice that's

too cold in their drink.

Complain about the ice being too cold.

Yeah.

so crazy yeah that's bananas holly good

job thank you how about that how about

a good job and a thank you um

can you tell us how and where to

watch everything this weekend please

syndicate will be live on the spin on

the spin

NorCal will be live on both Flow Elite

and, well, I say live.

They are attempting to do live from,

it'll either be on Flow Elite or the

Savan, the CF Network.

Sorry, CF Network.

I do not know where MadFit is on,

but it is a live stream on YouTube.

Search MadFit.

MadFit.com.

um anyway there it is yep uh i

put an asterisk on those names ha yeah

they don't they don't read though they

just go to the list and you didn't

hold their hand holly and like bring them

all the way to it and show them

hey look this is like they don't read

past that they just looked at the list

and they were like well my friend's name

is not on here and they qualified to

Shut up.

Well,

and I don't think it's because CrossFit

has not released official information.

I don't think it's on Holly to determine

who gets the backfill.

Pretty sure it's not her responsibility.

I think that is taking it a step

further than we want to commit to without

official word from CrossFit.

Holly's not doling out game spots at this

point.

You get one, you get one,

you get one.

And because CrossFit has not made an

official announcement,

everybody's left hanging.

Yeah.

Anyway, moving right.

Maybe it is, evil laugh.

Ladies and gentlemen,

DataWad is now responsible for tooling out

Masters GameSpots.

You heard it here first.

Maybe it's been covered already,

just joining.

What is the scoop about Flow Elite and

YouTube for NorCal?

It will be on both.

It's a vanilla scoop.

They did not get exclusive to NorCal.

They're just airing NorCal.

Correct.

So it will be airing on both YouTube

and Flow Elite.

So if you want to watch it live,

watch it on YouTube.

If you want to watch it where it

says, we're sorry,

we're having broadcasting issues,

watch it on Flow Elite.

I think it's simulcast, to be honest.

I don't think it's going to be any

different.

You're a big fan of watching that.

If they're having issues on full lead,

they're probably going to be having

issues.

Hey, we're going to find out this weekend.

We're going to find out tomorrow.

All right.

Yeah.

We're off rails again.

Okay, syndicate.

Who are your picks for the men?

I got Colton taking the whole thing,

Austin taking second,

and Saxon Pancheck in third.

Ooh, I like that.

Not what I have, but I like it.

So cool.

I like my guy Saxon getting a bid.

Yeah, I do.

He's incredibly fit.

He does.

I mean,

he is a CrossFitter through through,

right?

And these are very much CrossFit events.

Like there's no kind of wacky, you know,

weird machines they threw out of nowhere

and whatnot.

So I like Saxon pushing his ticket this

weekend.

So my order is Colton third.

Okay.

Nate Ackerman second.

Okay.

Austin half field first.

I mean, that's fair.

It's a home field advantage for Austin in

that venue.

He brings so many people into Knoxville

from West Virginia.

It's a hop, skip and a jump.

It will be loud for him.

I think it makes a difference.

And Colton doesn't give a shit.

Yeah,

but Colton always has an event in that

burpees to a target is high.

It's not as high as freaking J.O.

wanted it to be, apparently.

No, but it's still high.

Did you see him practice in it?

Did you see that video he put up

of him practicing it?

Yeah.

Love it, dude.

Love it.

Yeah.

So there.

That's my picks.

Sticking to it.

Ty's a dark horse,

should be in the mix.

Of course he's going to be in the

mix.

But there's a lot of people that are

going to be in the mix.

Yeah.

Ben Robinson's going to be in the mix.

Yeah, the men's side is pretty stacked,

dude.

The men's side is crazy.

The women's side...

So women pick, uh,

Daniel Brandon taking the whole thing,

Alexis Raptors taking second.

And I'm having a problem with third

because like,

just because there's so much parody once

you get down past past those two,

in my opinion anyway.

Um, but I'm gonna go Homer and, uh,

not Homer, but home, home,

home field advantage and give Haley third.

So I have DB first, Raptors second,

and Lydia.

So I literally on my line right now,

I have Fish and Adams.

Okay.

Yeah.

That's what I said.

It is Haley Adams' home field advantage.

If you've ever been to Knoxville,

she brings a buttload of people with her.

Right.

But Lydia Fish travels well.

She does.

The fish heads.

The fish heads are everywhere.

They get out of town.

Yeah.

So I think at this point,

I'm going to take fish.

I just don't trust Haley yet.

Since she came back,

I just haven't seen that same fire,

that same whatever.

I think at Mayhem...

having a bad event like you know coming

out winning the first one and like blowing

everybody out the water and then

immediately having a terrible event with

gwen got in her head and i think

it ruined her for the rest of the

weekend she can battle back out of that

i think she'll be fine this weekend uh

daniel says i don't think home field

advantage applies to the sport i think it

does

i think if you've got a crowd behind

you and it's people that you know and

i mean you can feel that kind of

stuff dude like it you can dig deeper

and i thought stuff you didn't know you

had

It depends on who you are as an

athlete, whether that affects you or not.

There are some athletes like Colton,

if they booed him,

he would feed off of it.

I think Colton would probably do better if

they booed him when he got on the

floor.

I think Matt Frazier would do better if

he was booed.

But I do think there are people who

don't have that mindset as drilled in as

those guys that will feed off of a

positive environment.

Yeah.

Noah, dude.

The year he was in the War of

the Leaders jersey and finally for a day

or two, however long that was,

people were getting behind Noah and he was

eating it up.

To the point where he went back to

being an old Noah and blew up on

an event simply because he was just

feeding it.

He feeds off that crowd so much.

Jody says, Haley competed at Mayhem.

That's her home gym.

How is being in it's actually Knoxville

going to improve her chances?

She brings so many people to Knoxville.

I don't know if they show up,

they show out at Mayhem like they do

in Knoxville.

there's no room in knoxville it is

craziness i don't think there's enough

room at mayhem to have that many

spectators and knoxville is closer to

north carolina her true hometown right um

jy said it best haley will never be

the same she has to go to a

dark place and she is too bright nowadays

not a bad thing but just saying i

don't

You have to learn the switch,

and I think she's still finding that.

I'm not saying she's done forever,

but I do think you have to learn

to find the switch.

She needs that.

Remember that video of Sarah

Sigmundsdorfer where she's all smiling and

happy and whatnot,

and as soon as they say, stand by,

and all of a sudden you just see

her face change.

she goes from happy smiling sarah to like

locked in i'm fixing to go destroy this

event sarah haley needs that switch that

kind of switch to go okay nothing else

matters right now but this barbell or

whatever it is that's in front of me

and i think like that's going to be

a little bit of i don't say a

fight but like it's going to be a

little bit different for her to be able

to find exactly that

SEMA,

I don't think you can have any kind

of eating disorder and do well in this

sport.

You have to go to the dark place

too much, and that messes with your brain.

I don't know.

I am definitely not an expert in this

arena to be able to.

Not even close.

But I understand what you're saying.

Would Hopper do better if booed?

No.

I don't think so.

No.

He is too aware of what's going on

around him.

Jacob, he gets booed now.

Yeah, I...

He said he anticipated it French and was

surprised he didn't get more of it.

They were so happy to see the champ

in Europe.

It wasn't South America.

It wasn't South America.

If he had gotten in South America,

then he got booed a lot.

I love J-Way.

Why?

But he writes off athletes too easily and

acts as if they owe him something to

change his mind.

To be fair,

John Young says this person is washed a

lot.

He does.

Most famously with my coach,

who he called washed up.

live on camera somewhere and Brandon made

a shirt out of it and then proceeded

to go back to the games as an

individual.

So... There's that.

Yeah,

I don't disagree with the comment about

giving up on athletes too quick.

I'm not sure that in his heart he

does that.

I think he does it for...

his analysis part for him it's very black

and white these numbers and it and it

is he has to be dismissive

of his heart during those selections to do

what he feels is right on the the

picks yeah most of the people he washes

off well washes off calls washed up or

whatever he was quick to say after that

like i really like him and i really

wish it wouldn't be like this but looking

at this you know whatever he's talking

about at the time they're just not they

don't have it anymore and that's his

opinion

uh tessa says that is presumptions haley i

believe is recovering i'm not trying to

make any assumptions as to why i don't

trust her but as an athlete on the

floor going by what i've seen in her

performances i can't trust her and she's

going to perform as she should like that's

what scott is trying to say like he

doesn't trust that she's going to get out

there and perform like the haley that we

all know and love before she went away

and to be fair when we take care

of herself

As a human being, right?

And then came back different because she

is different.

And she needed to be.

Well,

there was three years ago where you could

say Haley's a lock to go to the

games.

A hundred percent.

I don't think you can say that anymore.

Regardless of anything else in her life,

her performance on the floor is she's not

a lock anymore.

Yep.

does jy do hot takes because they're hot

it could be fun to suggest a backwards

prediction just to ruffle feathers i think

he makes hot takes all the time he

does

He does.

And if you tried to ruffle his feathers

like that,

it's a fifty-fifty shot whether he'd take

the bait or not.

And it really depends on what kind of

mood he's in.

Because I've seen him going back and forth

with them dudes and just going, like,

I'm not even listening to you right now.

Just keep going and saying what he's

saying.

And I've seen him actually having fun with

it and be like, you crazy.

That's not even close to being right.

Well,

as much as I truly want to stay

and talk to you guys,

I have to go to a stupid meeting,

and that is in five minutes.

So with that,

your biggest hot take for a surprise

qualifier this weekend?

I don't think it's a huge hot take,

but I think Carolyn Prevost could qualify

this weekend as a Masters athlete for the

second year in a row.

And my other hot take on the men's

side is Quinn Robinson could qualify in a

stacked syndicate field.

It's going to be fun to watch either

way.

Those are my hot takes.

So with that,

got to go to my meeting.

Hope you guys have a great rest of

your day.

And we'll hopefully be live tomorrow from

the Syndicate.

With that,

we'll catch everybody tomorrow on Lunch

with the Clydesdale.

I wouldn't wait to get to the editing

room to jazz me up.

I'm already jazzy.

From the gym to the screen, yeah,

we covered it all.
