Daily Mantras - Ancient wisdom for happiness, health and wealth

I've been there too. Standing in that quiet space where I've extended my heart, only to feel its warmth overlooked or misused. It's a vulnerable spot, especially when kindness is met with apathy or when genuine compassion is seen as a weakness.

I've been there too. Standing in that quiet space where I've extended my heart, only to feel its warmth overlooked or misused. It's a vulnerable spot, especially when kindness is met with apathy or when genuine compassion is seen as a weakness. Welcome to Daily Mantras, and let's learn about, "Is Your Kindness Taken for Granted?".

The world often feels like it's in a rush, and amidst the chaos, our sincere gestures sometimes go unnoticed. We may ask ourselves, "Why bother?" Especially when kindness isn't reciprocated. Or worse, when it's misconstrued as naivety. It's been a journey for me, learning that while compassion is a strength, it's equally essential to guard one's heart. Have you ever felt the challenge of holding onto your empathy while being surrounded by indifference? I've wrestled with the tension between wanting to connect deeply and fearing the pain of being let down.

Through it all, I discovered some lifebuoys:

1. "Reflective Moments": I've started spending a few quiet moments each evening, reflecting on the day's interactions. It's a space to understand if I've overextended or if I'm maintaining a balance between giving and self-care.

2. "Empathy with Anchors": Being empathetic doesn't mean being swept away. I've been practicing understanding others' feelings while staying rooted in my own emotions.

3. "A Soulful Reset with Aham Prema": On days when the weight feels heavy, I whisper the "Aham Prema" mantra. "I am LOVE", it says, nudging me towards an inner realm where love is pure and unconditional.

Being compassionate is a journey, not just with others, but also with oneself. It’s about finding that sweet spot between giving love and remembering to replenish our own reservoirs.
